SpringHill Suites Springdale Zion National Park

SpringHill Suites Springdale Zion National Park

📍 1141 Canyon Springs Rd, Springdale

"The hotel was okay, it met standards but there were many small things that made our stay feel less perfect. Upon check in the room was very spacious for a double queen bed room, and bathroom spacious as well. The amenities are lacking a bit, in the bathroom it was just minimal 1 makeup remover wipe and a shower cap and hand soap. It comes with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash but our conditioner was out and stayed empty for 2 days (as I thought the cleaners might notice and refill), until I requested front desk to refill it. In terms of cleanliness some of the towels had some minor stains and the bathroom had rust and brown stains in the bathtub so it didn’t feel super clean. The worst part was that when I entered the hotel the sheets were soooooo pilly and rough, they didn’t feel soft and welcoming as a hotel should have. Those sheets should’ve been thrown out years ago, I wouldn’t even keep sheets like that at my own house they were so worn down, bumpy, and uncomfortable, I asked front desk the next morning if I could please have them changed and got a very sassy and rude response that “usually requests like this should come in before 9AM and it’s not guaranteed that they can be changed” (I requested this around 10AM before the cleaners had even appeared on my floor). I found this response extremely off putting and inhospitable, since it’s not like I caused the sheets to be rough and uncomfortable and was simply making a request to make my stay better and more comfortable, and I also requested it very kindly and didn’t rush them to do anything- just by end of day or the next day so I wouldn’t have to sleep on rough uncomfortable sheets the entire 5 days I was there. They ended up changing them but I didn’t appreciate that kind of reply. 2 days after, the cleaners left their dirty rags, some random extra pillowcases on random surfaces by my personal items on the desk and night side table, It was very careless and unprofessional and who knows where the dirty rags have been, and where those random pillowcases came from if they were clean or not, next to my personal items. They also didn’t finish cleaning the bathroom and there were missing towels and didn’t finish taking the dirty towels out. Moving on, the location was okay but one of the farther hotels from the Zion National Park entrance in the town, I did like the pool and the restaurants nearby. Lastly, for the complimentary breakfast it was basic but good and I appreciated having that every morning before we left for our adventures."

"First of all, I think the location is very good. There are gas stations and supermarkets around. Most importantly, the hotel provides free ice water, ice cubes, hot water and hot coffee. Those who understand will understand. The breakfast is also good, not rich, but you can eat it with confidence. The bed is big enough and the facilities are average."

"The room was large and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. There was a refrigerator and a microwave in the room. It was very quiet outside, and although it was on the first floor, it was not noisy at all. The hotel's breakfast ingredients were simple, but the taste and filling were no problem. Many people played in the swimming pool and sports and leisure facilities in the hotel lobby. There is also a mini golf course outside. It is very convenient to stay here for a short stay in St. George, and there are many food options nearby."

"Super modern hotel! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent! Free coffee and water all day. Great amenities in the lobby (various board games, TV, billiards, etc.), and we were also allowed to use the microwave in the lobby. We felt very comfortable."

"The room is small, there is a kitchenette, this is good, there is free laundry/drying equipment, quite convenient. The location is a bit biased. Originally wanted to book a hotel close to the Zion scenic spot, the domestic can not use Google map, I did not expect to miss the decision, this place is quite far from Zion, driving for about an hour, the weather is too hot, we drove from the east, the visitor center out, count the car tour zion national park."

"I stayed here for one night when I was passing by. The location is convenient and it's right after I got off the highway. The room is OK, the area is quite large, and the bedding is comfortable. But the elevator was broken, so I had to carry my luggage upstairs. The elevator was not repaired the next day, and from the notice it looked like it had been broken for more than one day."

"We stayed here and it was a wonderful experience. The staff is friendly and the grounds are beautiful. The pool is a little cold in early May. I WILL MAKE ONE WARNING, don’t rent their bikes. Kids cannot have electric bikes and I REALLY recommend to have them get an electric or go into town and get a bike they can ride the back of. Also you have to pedal in order to get boost. So many people went flying by us on bikes with better comfort seats you don’t have to pedal to go. On the uphills you will be grateful for assist."

Zion Lodge - Inside the Park ★★★
"My husband & I had just stayed at Bryce Cabins in park for 5 nights and were then headed for 5 night stay at Zion cabins. The drive took about 4 hours because of scenic stops in between. We arrived mid afternoon and quickly checked into Cabin #539 which is at end near parking lot and large amount of rock behind us. The cabin is rustic as we expected and everything in and out will have some dust. We didn't need or use daily housekeeping while there. We had picked up groceries in nearby Springdale at a local market and filled our coolers. The cabins are either duplex or 4 plex, ours was duplex. There was locking connecting door between.& could hear other people next door. We kept our bathroom fan on most time. There was a decent wooden bench outside on the porch, sidewalks everywhere and nearby ice machine to fill coolers/water bottles, recycling, etc. Cabins had 2 Queen beds, a desk with drawers, ceiling fan, gas fireplace, Air conditioner (thank goodness, unlike cooler Bryce, Zion was about 90-100F). The only thing is Air conditioner is lower down on wall and you have to bend down to adjust. There are 2 heavy (not very comfy) chairs, no table unfortunately, an extra sink where we did dishes, a safe way down in drawer and funky place microwave plus mini fridge, hangers and hooks and additional drawers. coffee maker, ironing board, blowdryer. There is no bar soap, soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo and conditioner dispensers though. We also had packed layers and less clothing, had done some laundry at Bryce and hand washed stuff at Zion after buying detergent outside Bryce. We made most of our breakfast and lunches in room. Ate in main dining room for Mother's Day and enjoyed Salmon and Crab Oscar with Asparagus and my husband enjoyed his ribs. They also have a beer garden outside lodge too and nice big green lawn with shady trees. Property seems to be well cared for. Unlike Bryce where you hike down into Canyon, Zion is setup to hike up into. There are places to rent E-bikes which we didn't do this time and you have to ride shuttles to all the stops to get to trailheads which we used daily. Shuttles ran every 5-10 minutes and there's also an interesting museum. Plenty of wildlife - deer, bighorn sheep, turkeys, rabbits, prairie dogs, birds, etc. Mosquitos at night, bought non Deet patches. There is Emerald Pool trail across the street from lodge which is scenic and at night can hear the Canyon frogs, that sound like sheep. My husband also had permit for challenging path Angels Landing after winning lottery several months before so he did that 1 morning and we also did about 1/2 the 9.5 mile Narrows route - you have to watch the flow rate, flash flooding warnings and weather, etc. The day we did it was moderate flow rate and air was 102F so cool water felt good, stay hydrated, wear waterproof footwear like Goretex, hiking poles, neoprene clothing (nearby outfitters rent shoes/etc.). You have to be very careful on river "

"I was satisfied with the price, as it offered good value for the quality of the hotel. The air conditioning didn’t seem to work well at first, but it eventually cooled the room and did the job. Overall, I had a comfortable stay and would consider staying here again."
