"-The deception begins with the "HOTEL" designation and the photo on the Booking website. It's not a hotel, more like a motel or hostel. The rooms aren't in the main house but in the courtyard (see photo). -The room is more like a burrow, with no natural light, cramped, damp, no air conditioning, and silk sheets. -Breakfast: No pastries, scrambled eggs that must be ordered the day before, and five rolls for three adults. No cold cuts on the buffet, nor bread, but there is a breadboard with a knife. If you dare ask for three extra rolls, expect a 15-minute wait, otherwise, forget it. -The breakfast photo on the hotel's website is misleading."

Hotel Zum Schwan Weilerswist ★★

"The hotel is centrally located in the municipality of Weilerswist between Cologne and Euskirchen. Various small shops and restaurants can be reached on foot, but when it comes to larger purchases, a car is definitely necessary. The hotel is an old half-timbered house and is accordingly furnished in an old style. Free parking is offered behind the hotel. Wifi is a matter of luck; it does not work well. The staff, if you can find someone, is generally helpful. There is not really a reception. Check-out is done by dropping the keys into a mailbox. The rooms are not particularly large and also furnished with old furniture. The bed is very soft and the duvet is too hard. Sleeping comfort is something else. The rooms are generally clean, but old. This is also evident in the shower, which did not function properly. Toiletries are not available except for toilet paper. Breakfast was served by an elderly lady. Guests are served separately. There is no buffet. The breakfast is not sufficient and looks cheap. It tastes like it too. A little cold cuts and jam and 2 rolls per person. However, the cold cuts were not enough for 2 rolls. Breakfast costs 12.50 euros per person, which is too expensive for the quantity. All in all, we can say that we will think very carefully about spending another stay at this hotel. The beds are too soft, the breakfast is too little and too expensive. Without a car, you’re stuck at the hotel. The hotel is definitely not suitable for international guests."
