"Outpost is really good choice for Weligama trip during the season. Next to the quiet part of thr beach, tasty (but not cheap) cafe, comfortable rooms and very helpfull staff, strong wifi. But for offseason could be a bit offsided. No cafe around, nothing on the beach, need to walk to any store or activity. Several points to make your stay more comfortable: 1. Roomservice upon request 2. In beachfront rooms the beds are not fixed to tables behind them (as you see on foto). So be carefull, it moves =) 3. Ask about foot shower location in front of the hotel. It's a bit hidden."

"I booked this hotel in a hurry and was a bit nervous when I saw it only had one review. However, after checking in, I was really impressed! The hotel facilities, service, room cleanliness, and amenities were all excellent. It was particularly pleasant to hear the raindrops on the banana leaves during the rain. The room's design was also very thoughtful; showering felt like being outdoors yet still private. The only downside is that the hotel's location is a bit remote, requiring a short walk down a small path. I highly recommend staying here if you get the chance!"

"Returning to the same hotel for a second year is probably the best proof of how much I enjoyed my first experience — and once again, I was not disappointed. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with the same genuine warmth, kindness, and hospitality that I remembered from last year. There is something very special about returning to a place where you already feel comfortable and cared for. This year, I stayed in a **Courtyard Room**, located down in the beautiful garden. Last year I stayed in a different type of room, but I have to say that the Courtyard Room was equally lovely. Being surrounded by greenery, peace, and the beautiful garden atmosphere made it a wonderful place to relax and unwind. The room was comfortable, spotless, and beautifully maintained. Once again, I was impressed by the entire team and by how much care goes into looking after the guests throughout the day. I would like to sincerely thank **the hotel management and every member of the team**, including everyone at reception, the restaurant, housekeeping, the pool, and the Ayurvedic and medical team. Even those whose names I may not mention individually deserve recognition, because each of them contributed to making my stay so enjoyable. The reception team was always welcoming, professional, and ready to help whenever needed. The restaurant experience was excellent as well. The food was fresh, delicious, varied, and prepared with great care, and the entire restaurant team made every meal a pleasant experience. I especially appreciated the attention and kindness of the restaurant management and staff, who were always making sure that everything was running smoothly and that guests were comfortable. The Ayurvedic treatments were, once again, one of the highlights of my stay. I am particularly grateful to my therapist **Sriyani**, whose professionalism, gentle approach, and personal attention made every treatment a wonderful experience. I would also like to thank **Dr. Isuru**, whom I had the pleasure of seeing again this year. His professionalism, knowledge, personal approach, and genuine concern for my wellbeing made me feel that I was in very good hands throughout my stay. "Amazing experience! Surf guides were all wonderful and super helpful! Everybody that works there is always in a great mood and excited to help! I stayed for two weeks to learn the basics of surfing and although I was quite the slow learner the surf guides never gave up on me and were extremely supportive when I was able to catch waves!"

"Currently staying at this tiny resort and love everything about it. Beach front, low key, feels authentically Sri Lankan but with all the comforts. The garden bungalow is huge with 2 large bedrooms and 2 huge bathrooms, air con and a bar fridge, heaps of storage. Lovely spa experience today. The pool is stunning, you can rent surfboards from the hotel and surf outside the resort, minutes from the rooms. Breakfast is the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka and made to order not a mass produced buffet and the restaurant service couldn’t be better. We celebrated my mums birthday on the almost empty restaurant yesterday where the chef made a cake especially and we sat over looking the ocean with delicious seafood and great wine. No party to be had here, but loved every minute so far. A beach walk to the surf schools and a couple of local beach clubs and eateries. So glad I didn’t book the big Marriott, I didn’t book based on price but looking up at the ugly Marriott building feeling smug about it. They do send a bit of noise over the wall in the evening not enough to worry about. This resort has caracther and charm despite an average booking experience with the reservations team…. I’m learning that service in Sri Lanka isn’t fast and you have to go with the flow."

"Everything about our stay at Three Gables Villas exceeded our expectations. The rooms, common area, views and food are all spectacular. However what stands out is how much Suresh and his team genuinely care about their guests. They are the most generous hosts I have ever encountered - both attentive and understated. Suresh offered great tips on what to do, find books for us to read as well as where to eat and the team (particular thanks to Sanuka) ensured that we were well looked atter at the restaurants they booked on our behalf. Suresh even fixed my sunglasses!! He also arranged a beautiful meal on the beach on our last night with a hand speared red mullet. The chef is truly outstanding and both continental and Sri Lankan breakfasts are fantastic. My partner and I travel frequently and as other guests have also noted, the experience at is unparalleled."
