"Outpost is really good choice for Weligama trip during the season. Next to the quiet part of thr beach, tasty (but not cheap) cafe, comfortable rooms and very helpfull staff, strong wifi. But for offseason could be a bit offsided. No cafe around, nothing on the beach, need to walk to any store or activity. Several points to make your stay more comfortable: 1. Roomservice upon request 2. In beachfront rooms the beds are not fixed to tables behind them (as you see on foto). So be carefull, it moves =) 3. Ask about foot shower location in front of the hotel. It's a bit hidden."

"As the first person to write a review, I'll say right away: I absolutely recommend staying here! This hotel is wonderful in every way, from the service to the secluded atmosphere. The breakfasts are excellent – even with just one main menu, there's still a good selection. I was surprised by how well-stocked the room was: I'm not talking about the mini-bar and drinking water, but the bathroom, which has absolutely everything you need, including perfumed toiletries. The conditioner, shampoo, body lotion, and scrub are all fantastic quality. The room is incredibly spacious, and the shower is wonderful. It matches the photos and description 100%. I want to thank the staff for their hospitality, the manager and owner for their smiles and morning chats, and the chef for the excellent cuisine and for helping with a special personal request. It's very close to the coastline, with restaurants, beach clubs, and shops nearby. It was my first time in Sri Lanka, and I have to say, in some ways, I liked this hotel even more than the island itself. Rating: 10/10. I will definitely be back!"

"I had a brilliant two weeks at Kima as a solo traveller. The core surfing and social elements work really well: — The surfing instruction is very professional and set up to fit what you need as an individual. There’s a gradual scale of six different ability levels and classes are small. The surf guides give everyone individual attention, often by asking what each person wants to work on at the beginning of the session. Although they are called guides they can essentially be instructors if you want the support. The guides are really invested in helping you improve and getting to know you. Out of the water, the video analysis sessions are great for individual feedback. Robbie's technical analysis led to a couple of lightbulb moments for me and his encouragement keeps it fun. — The social element is easy to get involved with even if you come alone. The dinner every weekday for the whole camp helps a lot with that, with evening activities typically following directly afterwards. People do go out to parties if that is your thing, although there’s no pressure to do so and there was always something more relaxed at the camp during the evenings. Added to that there are enough extra activities to fill the days even if you don’t surf. If you want downtime, the building is clean and comfortable so it’s a relaxing place to be. There was also a really welcoming atmosphere as the staff and the guests I met were all so friendly. I felt sad to leave!"
