"One of the best B&Bs we’ve ever stayed in! The room was clean, large, and comfortable, the breakfast was outstanding (thank you, Lloyd!), beautiful courtyard, and great location on the Square. Loved being able to walk everywhere! Would definitely recommend and look forward to staying there again!"

"We stayed 3 nights and attended 2-day cooking school. The cooking school was enjoyable and we learned a few things, although it was over-priced in our opinion. The room was clean and nice. The grounds appeared to be in the process of some improvement, although some areas were overgrown. The biggest change (new owners 2 years ago) was the breakfast food and service. Breakfast historically has been gourmet, now is very basic at best. The service was hurried, ran out of self-serve coffee one of the mornings."

"We have stayed at all types of accommodations over the years and appreciate the differences in each. We enjoyed our stay but do have some mixed feelings about Creekhaven. First, the positive: the staff was friendly, especially the lady on our last day. The room (Creek House) was spacious and comfortable. I loved the bed, though a bit soft for my husband. The area is peaceful and quiet while still being very close to town, though I would not say walkable in the summer heat. The breakfasts were delicious and we loved that they brought them to our room! We even requested some of the recipes they were so tasty. We enjoyed eating on the porch each morning though there is no creek view due to the steep creek bank. The cons: the grounds need work. There are unsightly extension cords running to all sorts of things. The outdoor furniture is tired and needs a refresh; some of it is rotten. While the garden is lovely, there are many plants in the black plastic pots from the nursery, which detracts from the beauty. Our room while tidy, needed a deep cleaning. The ottoman was dingy and dirty, as were the baseboards. The closet doors fell off the runner at the slightest touch. The patio was swept once during our 3 day stay. The water feature in front did not work and apparently hasn't for quite some time. The exterior needs pressure washing. We saw a shuttle on site every day, but were never told anything about it. When I asked the front desk, she didn't know either but offered to find out. I asked again the next day but she still didn't know. It would have been convenient to use due to the heat and parking challenges in town. In summary, this Inn has tons of potential but is missing the mark in some areas. We appreciate rustic, but some of the things are beyond that. The staff and food are not the issue. While it seems the cons outweighed the positives, that isn't really the case. We would likely stay here again but wanted to offer our viewpoint on how to improve."

Blair House Inn ★★★
"The first time I stayed at the Blair House I fell in love with it. I wrote a review calling it a slice of heaven. My 2nd time the owners had changed. There seem to be a little chaos with management and lots of changes. I thought new owners it happens. We come to the Blair House about twice a year because of the peace and quiet. We loved watching the deer walk by as we would eat breakfast. That no longer is the case the rerouted the deer and now it is just gravel and a giant concrete statue. We always stay at the El Serafin cottage. We so enjoyed watching the deer feed and lay beside the cabin as we sat on the deck. Again, no deer they rerouted. If you are lucky you can see them as you are driving in. We were never impressed with the food. It is average at best and the same menu for the past 3 years. It was the view and Luna the ca that kept us coming back. They have remodeled the pool area and it is nice. The prices have increased approx $150-$250 more per night however, the rooms have not been upgraded. You can't even open the blinds. They have been broke for 3 years. I don't know if I will ever return to The Blair House. We had a 2nd trip booked for October and I cancelled it while I was there a few weeks ago. This is why.... I received a call Sunday before my trip on May 1st telling me that they made a mistake on the booking that I mad a year in advance and the new rate is now $633 but will honor the price since I said I had a confirmation email and ait is too late to cancel. She agreed and said that because I couldn't cancel without getting charged. FYI they had no other customers that night and would have lost our money as well. She did tell me that even though they made the mistake on both my reservations the one for May and the one for Oct. They were not going to honor the price I was quoted and ignore my confirmation. She said my price was quoted at $399 and they were raising the price to $633 per night. The previous owners valued return guest and had a free night stay after 5 visits. I qualified for the free night and last year when I reached my 5 stay. They said they would honor my free night and even gave me another bookmark to continue in the future. I was also told they decide not to honor future stays for a free night. Although I imprinted with The Blair house and I am so sad at the thought of not returning. I just don't if I will ever return. There are so many beautiful places in that area and I am sure with better customer service. I wanted to speak to management but they were not ever there. I am in Sales and we honor what is quoted to our customers and also know that Customer service is very important. The Blair House used to have a 5 star rating and now you are seeing fewer and fewer reviews."
