"A bit noisy, right under the Flight Path for runway 05. The staff were welcoming, advised of not parking in a numbered bay straight away, so went and moved our car immediately. Our room was on the 1st floor, so I wondered if the aircraft noise would be a problem? it wasnt. Much reduced noise inside compared to what it was outside. Our room had AirCon which worked perfectly. There was a little bit of water on the bathroom floor, but I suspect it was caused by the previous occupant taking a shower without properly pulling the curtain round. The evening meal in the restaurant (which was part of a deal including breakfast) was a disappointment. Glacially slow service; nothing very exciting to eat; waited 40 minutes for a dessert to turn up. The breakfast, however, was a revelation! Best cooked breakfast I have ever had. Eggs, Bacon, mushrooms, sausages, etc... all cooked to perfection. Other items like croissants, pain au chocolat, juice and coffee, all excellent. Flights stopped after about 11-ish and restarted about 05.45! But sleep was still possible. Would return to this hotel if only for the breakfast, but will look elsewhere for the evening meal."
