"Craft Inn Te is a beautifully restored building in a small town known for its craft traditions. We stayed in the Indigo suite, which is on two floors, with a set of triple futons upstairs (one can be moved downstairs if needed). The ground floor has a tatami room, a bathroom with a cedar tub, and a view of a small garden that is exceedingly pleasant and restful. Every item in the Inn has been carefully curated, from the wall hangings and hangers to the bottle openers, glasses, and tea cups. The owner has been involved in the restoration of the town and the information booklet that welcomes each guest is full of information about the building and the town, including where to eat and what to visit. The town is walkable, there is a simple Shinto shrine meters away, and lots of tiny shops and crafts to explore, with local guides that the Inn can direct you to. This is accommodation most suitable for adults who are self-sufficient and not expecting any kind of nightlife! But if homemade soba, teashops, and handmade fabrics are of interest, it is a very lovely place to be."

"The hotel is located a bit far from the hotel, making it more suitable for travelers with cars. The rooms are spacious and the environment is tranquil. Dinner is delicious, with options for Japanese or Western cuisine. Children's meals are also provided."

"We visited in the summer. The kids had fun in the pool. The area is surrounded by nature, so we enjoyed walking around even though we were soaked in sweat. At night, the sky was full of stars. The food was delicious. The hotel staff were kind. If I had one complaint, it would be that the pool was free for guests."

"The baths in the evening and late at night are nice. The small baths in business hotels are sad. Also, I'm happy that breakfast is free. I'll go again."

"It's a pretty old onsen resort, as expected, but nothing really didn't bother us. Would be great to have some newer towels as our floor mat towel was torn. I find the driving to the hotel is OK - it's winding but nothing too difficult."

"The front desk and breakfast staff were extremely nice and professional. For example, during my stay, one of the ladies remembered when we usually liked to have our teapot refilled."

"We stayed in an absolutely charming little ryokan for two nights (bamboo room). A sort of Japanese-style boutique hotel. Comfortable futons. No curtains for darkness, as is often the case. The room is spread over two floors, with breakfast on the ground floor and the sleeping and living areas on the first floor. The toilet and bathroom are on the ground floor. The welcome was extremely attentive and pleasant. Excellent breakfasts. Very detailed information on nearby restaurants. And a valuable recommendation for one of them: an Isakaya-style restaurant: the Sakata (a memorable shared experience). A precious address."

"It was helpful that the room had a separate bedroom and living room. Although it wasn't a hot spring, the water was very soft and felt good. I was really relaxed, so I'll definitely be coming back.✨"

"We had lunch and enjoyed the baths on the tour. We got off the bus and went up the stairs to the restaurant on the first floor. The building must have been bustling during the Bubble Era, and the restaurant served Showa-era Japanese banquet meals. One lady said she saw the photos in the tour pamphlet and thought it looked luxurious, so she signed up. While there were certainly many dishes, the rice in the pot was hard and the tempura was cold. This is typical of Showa-era Japanese banquet meals, but a bit too much for the Reiwa era. The bath was spacious, so we were able to stretch out, which was nice. There was an indoor bath, an open-air bath, an electric bath, and a sauna."

"It’s a really nice affordable place to stay. We enjoyed the meals and thought the onsen was excellent.  We had a Japanese style room and thought the futon bedding was too hard. Also, the featured Trip photo of the hotel/room lead me to believe that the room would be larger, with beds. The actual room was smaller and we slept on the tatami. The onsen is open t9 the public, so on busy days, it brings in many people staying at the nearby campground . Overall, we thought it was an excellent."
