"Stayed at this location a couple of times before. Quite reasonable and for the price I paid good value. I would agree with some other reviewers that there is a bit of a musty aroma to some of the corridors. But I had a good sized room, decent bathroom and very handy location right by the A303. Food facilities very limited ( no restaurant here ) so bring your own provisions ! Otherwise use the Services on site Greggs Burger King etc but they all shut at 7 p.m. on a Sunday so watch out. But car parking is now the problem so watch out ! Changes here since I last stayed. Travelodge have a car parking area in front of their building in the corner of the Podimore Services area. About 12 spaces. Camera controlled and free for guests staying in the Travelodge. In the Travelodge reception make sure you log in to the reception counter computer to give your car free parking. Otherwise a big fine. I stayed on a quiet Sunday night but even so there was just one space left so I was lucky. The main part of the Podimore Services ( fuel station food outlets and parking area ) is owned and controlled by Motor Fuel Group ( MFG ) and the whole site is camera controlled so there is no escape. You get 2 hours free parking and after that you must pay £20 per 24 hours or get a £100 fine in the post. This is an isolated location and there is just nowhere else to park other than the main Services site. So in other words if you find the dozen Travelodge car parking places full you are going to have to park in the main Services at £20 for each 24 hours. Suddenly your Travelodge stay is not so cheap ! You have been warned ! On the subject of the main Services car park the area just at the end of the Travelodge building abuts the MFG car park site which is often flooded. Its been like this for ages and there is obviously a drainage problem. So there is dirty stagnant water sitting there. I advise dont let your little ones play about in that water, stagnant water can have some nasty bugs in it."

"Appalling breakfast service. They don’t do a buffet like most premier inn’s and have just one chef cooking. It seems rather than cook multiple items at once he was cooking 1 breakfast at a time therefore I was waiting over 50 minutes until I got mine and when it came bits were burnt. Not nice at all. No real choice for continental as they seemed to have run out of everything. Loads of people were walking out. Interestingly my colleagues had warned me the previous day that this hotel was known for either no breakfast or a VERY long wait. Overall the room was ok, I booked an early check-in and when I arrived they weren’t sure it was ready so I had to wait in reception while they checked. I have stayed in a lot of premier inns and this is by far the worst."

"The Keep was exceptional and the staff was very friendly. The buffet served was awesome with bacon, sausages, beans and cereal. The eggs was ordered and freshly made.. WiFi was excellent and everything was just right.."

"This was a nice guest room above a lively bar/restaurant. Ensuite bathroom, comfy bed, smart TV (need your own account if you want to watch Netflix, iPlayer, etc), and WiFi. Town centre and Yeovil Park are within walking distance (luckily the roadworks had pedestrian access). If you're exploring the wider Somerset, a car is required. No breakfast provided sadly (I went to Morrisons for cooked breakfast and Lidl for continental, both ~5 minutes away), but they have good lunch/evening food which they can take up to your room."

"met up with a mate for a couple of drinks after work and some games of pool for christmas, but WONT be going back there again!! we had 2 pints each and asked the barman twice about the taste and quality of all four pints. we had san miguel and carlsberg but both tasted flat and couldn’t even drink all the last one… as soon as i got hone i’ve felt line my stomach has an alien trying to get out!!! word of advice would be change your barrels more often and clean the cellar pipes out more frequently wont be returning"

"Welcoming, friendly staff that make a real fuss of you, and your dogs! Home cooked meals that certainly fill you up and a lovely view of the lake! Very quiet too considering the road nearby. Would recommend to anyone passing the with children and/or dogs."
