"We booked our stay well in advance. We needed a "base" place for just one night. We had an early ferry to the Aeolian Islands. When booking, they told us that check-in was from 2:00 PM. We replied that we would be making a stop at the beach and that we would do it around 4:00 PM. At around 3:45 PM, we received a message telling us that the accommodation was not ready because they had delayed departures. We were already on our way and they advised us to use the bar service and the two swimming pools for my 3 daughters. The accommodation was being cleaned and they would deliver it to us in 10 minutes. We accepted, confident in their promise. A whopping 2 and a half hours passed from then on. I won't tell you how exhausting it can become, more than the wait itself, doing it with 3 little girls. Tired of waiting and wanting to freshen up after a day at the beach, I offered to clean the house myself so they could let us in. After another 10 minutes, the girl finally took us to the accommodation where we helped the cleaning ladies with buckets and buckets to get out of the place. Obviously, the place was super clean and still wet. Let's say that for having used it for 11 hours in total, it was definitely expensive."

"First, the staff are fabulous here. Very helpful and responsive. It is also a lovely base to visit Tropea from. The outdoor space was also very lovely but bring mosquito spray. They’re out and about with the greenery here. Secondly, I felt like this was false advertising at its finest. The waves were way too dangerous for our 4 and 6 year old to play in so we couldn't relax at the beach (maybe this was abnormal for this time of year? Quite possibly the case as none of the other reviews said as much). Our hotel room was a ‘3 room’ - in North America that means three bedrooms but that’s not how Europe sells their rooms. Three rooms means a kitchen and two TINY bedrooms (the bathroom doesn’t count for some reason? Inconsistency at its finest). My mother in law, son and daughter were in tiny single beds in one room and my husband and I were in a queen in the next room (separated by a paper thin wall). Add to this that there was only one AC unit for the whole suite and it was barely able to keep up. We didn’t think it was working when we arrived. The kitchen was maybe 80sqft? No oven and they no longer supply BBQ’s after someone nearly set a room on fire with one. Breakfast was mediocre. Cakes, donuts, Nutella, sugar, sugar, sugar. They had some hard boiled eggs, powdered eggs and sliced up hot dogs. I didn’t try the bacon as it wasn’t very appealing. There was a very disappointing selection of fruit. I think this poor review stems from higher expectations based on a lot of great reviews for this place. It is a beautiful spot but we’ve simply realized this isn’t the kind of place we would ever come back to. We left two nights early and spent the money to go to a beautiful airbnb in Soverato. Worth leaving the money behind unfortunately."

"The structure is wonderful with an amazing view of the Aeolian islands: spacious rooms furnished with extreme taste and everything you need in a modern style. The exceptional courtesy products, we purchased them and also took them home. Order and cleanliness both in the rooms and in the external spaces are a constant. The resort is not huge: definitely suitable for relaxation and couples or families (but not numerous because at the moment they only have a quadruple room). Superlative welcome and great attention to both young and old customers from all the staff, special mention to Ilenia who fell in love with our daughter ;-). Customers can use the reserved beach: it can be accessed either via a short downhill walk of a few minutes or with the shuttle service which is extremely efficient. The restaurant (the only option at the moment for the hotel for breakfast, lunches and dinners) is directly overlooking the sea under a covered structure but open on the sides: wonderful!!! the proposals are tasty and carefully prepared, for lunch you can also have the pizzeria service: this is also very very good. The menu, although delicious, is not very varied if you stay for several days. Unfortunately, if you are not lucky with the weather, the beach and restaurant are a fragile point: we had several days during our stay of stormy weather and wind and this made the beach and sometimes even the restaurant impassable. We took advantage of it to discover the beauties of the place but it is certainly a note worth mentioning. I must underline, however, that they are constantly working to make the stay as comfortable as possible and the project is to build a swimming pool in the upper area and another restaurant precisely to resolve these current fragilities. For all these reasons I still give 5 dots and not 4 because despite the objective limitations, we had a wonderful holiday. We recommend it and the idea is also to return."

Excellent restaurant and extremely attentive staff in the restaurant. The rooms are rather basic. It was just before the season started, hence perhaps the negative feeling in the beginning."
