It has a TV and air conditioning, and a spacious, full bathroom. All in all, a highly recommended option in Zarautz, where there aren't many choices and it's expensive."

"The hotel service is very good. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful (at the reception desk, in the dining room, and in room service). Everything was very good. The hotel was very clean. The room was also very clean and spacious, but the bed mattress was a bit soft. That's the only detail I think could be improved."

"After a nightmare night, take note. The rooms have a code on the electronic lock that is provided to you upon check-in. Inside you either close yourself or they try to enter you throughout the night. Drunk people can have a good time trying to make your night bad."

Somn Hipsuites Zarautz ★★★

"A quick one-night stay to rest a bit. This hotel is located on the ground floor and has only a few rooms. It has an automatic check-in system outside, allowing access when there's no staff at reception. The room is small and simple, with a shelf instead of a wardrobe. Being located on the ground floor, it has no windows, which might make some people feel claustrophobic. There's also a small cafe at the entrance, with a vending machine. We found it impossible to find parking nearby and had to use the parking lot in the square (quite expensive)."

Zerupe Hotel ★★

"We arrived in Zarautz, Spanish Basque from Saint Jean de Luz, French Basque via the Hendaia Euskotren station (1 hour 15-minutes). The Hotel Zerupe was an easy 5-minute walk from the train station and just a few minutes walk to the gorgeous beach. Perfect location. We were so happy we decided to visit this beautiful small city in the Basque coastal region on the Bay of Biscay. We reserved the Doble room for two nights. The room was on the small side and laid out efficiently; it was light and very clean; had hardwood floors; motorized window coverings; enough storage space for us; and complimentary coffee and filtered water. The large walk-in shower was very nice. Breakfast was fresh and very good, it was an added €12 per person per day; it included meatcheese, seasonal fruit, yogurt, fresh squeezed juice, breads and pastries. All the staff were friendly. Paolo especially was a delight to talk with. He prepared our morning breakfast. From Zarautz we took the coastal walk to Getaria (about 1 to 1 ½ hours, one-way) where we enjoyed a late lunch of Pintxos and a bottle of the delicious local white wine Txakoli at the restaurant Amonamaria overlooking the sea. The day we left, we spent the morning taking a short hike up to the Ermita de Santa Barbara through beautiful vineyards and with stunning views of the city, the beach and the Bay of Biscay. In the afternoon we took the Euskotren to Bilbao, about a 2-hour train trip."

Only a 30 min walk to get to the centre of town by the most direct route. Train station even closer which was great for getting into Donastia. "
