Best Hotels in Zilina, Slovakia

We were looking forward to this trip as we got it as the wedding/birthday present from our very good friends. We extended the original stay for 2 more nights. Overall, the stay was pleasant, a very nice room, comfy, spacious. No issues with booking the wellness and the number of people at the same time there was limited so it was positive. The food was really good, delicious, we tried almost every day something different. What was not so pleasant was the staff in several situations. Everyone might have a bad day but it should not be reflected towards customers. It happened to us that the waitress was not very kind and not smiling when talking to us and taking the order. Then, not all food was brought as we ordered and simple ”sorry” was missing. On this level, we would expect better. Way to go. Thank you for the stay anyway.

I stayed at Hotel Turiec in Martin, Slovakia in January 2023 for four nights. My first impression was the pleasant reception and the smart bar and restaurant area. My second impression was the very pleasant and efficient reception staff. My third impression was the spacious and spotlessly clean bedroom. Thereafter my stay was very pleasant and this was aided by the reception staff who are keen to help with local guidance and to deal with guests' requests. The hotel is in an excellent location being just a few minutes' walk from the town centre. In particular I would like to praise Tatiana (Front Office Manager) who is incredibly helpful and seems genuinely interested in guests' needs. To say her English is perfect is not an exaggeration. If a hotel can be judged on a member of staff, then Hotel Turiec is fully worth a five star rating. The cost of rooms is very fair, especially bearing in mind the quality of accommodation and staff. The breakfast, included in my booking, was good, including the obliging staff. Overall this is an excellent and well-run hotel, representing very good value for money.
