Hirugami Grand Hotel Tenshin
"Good view, large room, friendly and professional staff. Free-parking. Wake up call for breakfast (without asking). Gorgeous meals!"
Oyado Sansui
"We had a wonderful time and loved everything about the ryokan. But getting there was really, really difficult. We wanted to take the bus from Nagoya, but all the day-long bus tickets sold out that morning. So we had to take a taxi. A taxi from Nagoya to the ryokan costs 50,000 yen. That's very expensive. It's a shame there was no information anywhere about having to buy bus tickets in advance."
Kichiya
"We visited Kichiya on a couple trip and the staffs are welcomed us like a family☺️ The foods was so nice and will come back there ☀️"
Yuttarino-Sato Inaka
"Excellent stay if you would like to visit the Heavens Sonohara and Sakura hunting during Spring. Japanese-styled breakfast. Indoor, outdoor onsen and sauna is provided."
Otogitei Kofu
"Small Ryokan with Japanese authentic touch and friendly hospitality. We stayed here as we wanted to join the shuttle bus to Night Village tour. Unfortunately, it was difficult to contact the hotel to get included. I guessed you have to book directly to the hotel. However, once we arrived we quickly asked for the tour, sadly the shuttle was fully booked already. However, they arranged us the taxi roundtrip transfer with (according to meters) was about total 8,000 yen cost, plus gondola ticket to the hills. Though the hotel is looked traditional, but they use "Refa" hair dryer and shower at the onsen which i feeled impressed. The food both dinner and breakfast were good. We enjoyed the onsen and walking around Hirugami Onsen a lot."
KUROTAKE-Luxury Retreat, Hirugami
"An antique hot spring hotel, the room is large enough clean, hot spring pool is very comfortable, but the hotel has no facilities, and breakfast is general, nearby convenience stores and supermarkets are not, we did not eat dinner in the hotel, breakfast is relatively simple semi-buffet form, just want to be in the room"
Sekitaitei Ishida
"My husband and I were on our way to Shirahone Onsen but the roads were closed due to Typhoon Mawar, so we had to find a place to stay along the way. We arrived after 5 hours of frustrating and difficult driving, unannounced. The staff were a bit surprised to see us since this is not the kind of place that has unannounced guests arrive during a typhoon, but were very welcoming and accommodating. We stayed in room 106, which was extremely spacious (large living room, separate bedroom, many small art/decor displays, dressing room, toilet room, bathroom, and separate cypress bath area, two gardens). It was a palatial traditional tatami room, very well-maintained, clean, with lovely decor and plenty of amenities. The hotel itself is huge and very beautifully decorated, with a Noh stage. The night of the typhoon, amazingly, there was a traditional Japanese drum show. The breakfast was served in a separate tatami room in the restaurant, and was very extensive. The hotel staff were wonderful. All in all, it is a great place to stay if you are looking for a traditional Japanese experience (which we were!), and was an amazing place to spend the night of the typhoon."

"very good service by the front desk. thought that onsen was very authentic. The indoor bath is typical of a japanese bathhouse. Outdoor bath is great - can see stars. like Achi - a beautiful small town."
Keigetsu Nicchoan
"I'm looking forward to coming back! The inn is very accommodating and relaxing. The Onsen water feels nice and they have private Onsen rooms available for booking if you're shy like me. The food was very filling and tasty. Our room had a tea setup, a massage chair, a mini fridge and even little details, like a bottle opener, that I really appreciated. The view from my room was of the town and a mountainside. It was lovely in the morning to watch the clouds on the mountainside disperse as the sun heated things up. Regarding the staff, they were very kind and hospitable. My group got lost and missed our bus when heading to Hirugami and the hotel helped us get there safely by coordinating a pick up. Our hostess spoke basic English and we were able to communicate with the other staff with a translator app on our phones."
