Hotel Kea by Keahotels ★★★★
"A bit old, other than normal"
Hafnarstræti Hostel ★★
"Really reduced space, with just a common room to leave the luggage, and no receptionist. They didn't give me the codes to get in in advance, so I had to wait once I got there. It was also difficult to get in."
Akureyri - Berjaya Iceland Hotels ★★★
"Great location and walking distance into town. Breakfast offered a nice selection to choose from and can meet all diet preferences."
Hotel Akureyri ★★★
"Right in the city center, very convenient"
K16Apartments ★★★
"The hotel is newly renovated and very close to the airport. The hotel also provides airport drop-off service. However, the drop-off service is very rare and can only accommodate 4 people at most. The attitude of the front desk is very cold, which is much worse than that of the city hotel. If you leave at around 6 o'clock in the morning, the breakfast is only orange juice, yogurt and coffee, which is not appropriate for a hotel that mainly serves airport passengers. The heating in the room cannot be adjusted and it is very, very hot."
Lava Apartments & Rooms ★★★
"The room was superb! Check-in was very convenient. The surrounding area is great, with many unique restaurants. The traffic lights are heart-shaped, so sweet! Definitely worth staying here again! Oh! Yay! ✌"
FE Gisting ★★★
"The property is very well located, the room is nice and has a shower. The price is reasonable."
Skald Hotel Akureyri Curio Collection by Hilton ★★★★
"The room was clean, the location was very close to the town, and the service was excellent. It was a very pleasant stay."
Saeluhus Apartments & Houses ★★★
"It's very convenient for the whole family. There's a hot tub to relieve the fatigue of the day, and you can also buy groceries from the supermarket and cook your own meals."

Kidagil Guesthouse
"Nice guesthouse if you're in the area - it's a disused school with lots of space!"
Akureyri Backpackers
"Great place with a great atmosphere. Really enjoyed our time there. Good coffees and hot chocolates too. I’ve forgotten the managers name (Mog-something)- a fabulous Polish man and he was hilarious, hospitable and had the best energy. Highly recommend"
Bryggjan Boutique Hotel
"Wonderful small hotel near downtown Akureyri. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, very nice breakfast on the third floor overlooking the harbor and clean comfortable rooms with all the usual amenities."
Guesthouse Baegisa
"This is a charming little guest house located on a farm and run by a delightful woman who is extremely welcoming. It is in a remote location so she makes a delicious dinner for her guests. Breakfast was also excellent. I strongly recommend this guesthouse if traveling by."
Tryggvabraut
"It doesn't get any better than this."
Hoepfner and Tulinius Historical Houses
"Apartment 100 - is nothing like the photos. It is freezing. I slept in full on thermal skiwear last night. The kitchen is a fridge freezer, sink, cooker and a filing cabinet (full of crap) with nowhere to put anything. The seating area had a 2 seater and 2 chairs - like you would find in an office waiting area - really uncomfortable. There are display things all over the place - such as a dentist chair in the corner where the light switch is - ensuring that you bang your leg every time you put the light on. There are loads of coat hooks - never seen so many in one place - but no wardrobes or draws to put your clothes. We are living out of a suitcase. It is totally impractical."
Hrimland Guesthouse
"The hotel CP value is super high. When I first booked, I felt expensive, but I felt that the hotel room on the website was well-equipped and the location was good. I really stayed at Hrimland and knew that it was really a penny."
North Apartments Suites
"Good size apartment , towels , bedsheets, pillows, fully equipped kitchen , openable window, car parking , less crowded ."
Aurora Vacation Homes Fagravik
Akureyri Cottages
"Good facility"
Steinaskjól Apartments
"After staying in excellent facilities, we find this, in the pleasant city of Akureyri. We are not very tired of finding the building, not reported, but also because the message does not come with the property indications. Finally we enter. The first floor is a yard, the second floor is a building, and the second floor is a apartment without lift, and the four other places, except the kitchen, are seriously missed and insufficient. There is a cycling castle bed with a wool coat that makes the heart straight. My grandmother had it not even during the war. The double bed is without mattress covers and has no bedroom to cover it all. There is no lights at night and the incredible thing is that there are not even the electrical cameras near to load a phone. The bathroom is horrible. Small, screwed door, screwed douche, terrible shower tender (but can you put the tender in 2026?), dirty. And, even here, no phone take. In the apartment, which has a embarrassing flooring in fitted wooden linoleum, there are a couple of assaults but is never one who wants to put something in a box; there is no. Finally: if the house is for 4, why are there only two cups for breakfast? Only the location between the centre and the port is saved, with a nearby parking."
Hrimland Apartments
"Easy walk into town and looking over the harbor. Place was clean and tidy. The beds were great and the bathroom had a washer/dryer which we needed as this was towards the end of our trip."
Day Dream Kaupvangsstræti 19
"The apartment is great, but! The check-in instructions are either incomplete or haven't been updated in a while. The instructions say to find the door and two key drawers, but in reality, there are three. Find the drawer marked "Alma"—none are marked. The lock on the key drawer is old, just like the drawer itself, almost broken. In reality, we had to ring the doorbell and broke a fingernail while trying to open the apartment. The stove doesn't have a hood, so it's a bit awkward to cook like that, but those are minor details. The view is great, the space is large, the apartment is clean and well-equipped. The instructions indicate the Wi-Fi network and password, but there isn't one, and neither is there a password. We found it on a smart speaker by flipping it over. The stairs to the floor are steep. But that's also a technical issue. No matter how much we asked to extend our stay, they wouldn't extend it. It's a shame, because we even spent almost an hour trying to open the door outside with the help of neighbors. Fortunately, people in Iceland are wonderful and responsive. And phone support couldn't open the door either. My advice: try all the key boxes :))))"
Hrimland Cottages
"We rented a cottage with some friends to go ski touring in the area. At the end of our stay, I left some ski clothes in the wardrobe. The next day, when I realised, I contacted the company. Apparently, whilst cleaning the cottage, they’d thrown all my clothes in the bin. I went back to the cottage but couldn’t get my things back. After a few email exchanges, the company considered this perfectly normal and refused to pay any compensation. I had to buy a new set of ski equipment costing the equivalent of €300. This is a very disrespectful way to treat customers."
