"I made reservations at this hotel several months before a big rowing event in March 2026. I was already traveling to Oak Ridge when I was contacted by email-not even a call-to tell me that my reservation was canceled. I had to scramble to find a last minute hotel in town. I had a second reservation at the hotel for another rowing event next week in April. I called the hotel last week and spoke with the manager, Amanda. I explained what had happened to me last month and she guaranteed me that they would not be canceling my room. I even asked if I could pay for it at that point. She told me not to worry and that my reservation would be guaranteed.Today I called just to check and ask again if I could pre-pay and I was informed that my reservation had already been canceled. It turns out according to the staff that they have a problem where they over book on all of the dates and then have to call and cancel people last minute. I find this practice completely unacceptable and would discourage everyone from going to this hotel which is in the practice of making fraudulent reservations."
