Extremely satisfied! I booked my stay on ***** New Year's Eve quite early. Originally, the owner wasn't planning on operating and wanted to close for the holiday, but they still accepted our booking and hosted us. We arrived around 8 or 9 PM that evening, and the owner was waiting for us and even presented us with a blessed Hada (******* ceremonial scarf). Before arriving, I called ahead to ask if dinner was available. The owner's chef was on holiday, so they arranged for the restaurant next door to wait for us, where we had a delicious clear yak meat hot pot. The hotel room's overall decor is in the ******* style, which my parents loved, and the price during the Chinese New Year period was very reasonable. Breakfast was prepared by the owner and his wife. They even asked about our planned departure time so they could get up and wait for us. The dumplings 🥟 were delicious, and the owner's wife thoughtfully gave a small red envelope 🧧 to the child. This self-driving trip to Dagu Glacier in Western Sichuan was made even better by our stay at Heishui Jiruo Mountain Villa – the most worry-free and comfortable accommodation of the entire trip! The villa boasts an excellent location, only about 1 kilometer from the Dagu Glacier scenic area. The owner even provides free shuttle service, saving you from early morning rushes, which is incredibly convenient for glacier visitors. Located next to the Qicai Jiazu ******* Village, the environment is quiet and beautiful, with a strong ******* style. The courtyard is clean and tidy, the air is fresh, and you can see the starry sky and mountain views at dawn and dusk – a truly immersive experience. Parking is super convenient, with a free, spacious parking lot and charging stations, making electric vehicle travel hassle-free. The rooms are spacious, clean, and odor-free. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and the mattress is just the right firmness – a good night's sleep relieves the fatigue of the drive. The bathroom has a separate shower and toilet, plenty of hot water, and complete toiletries. The cleaning is meticulous, with every corner spotless. The rooms have good natural light, great views, and good soundproofing, making them exceptionally quiet at night, ensuring a high quality of rest. The accommodation combines the unique charm of the Jiarong ******* culture with the comforts of modern accommodations, making for a safe and pleasant stay. The owners and their family are warm and welcoming, providing exceptionally attentive service. Check-in is efficient, they proactively help with luggage, and patiently explain travel tips for Dagu Glacier, altitude sickness precautions, and even help you buy discounted park tickets. Any problems are resolved promptly, making you feel like family. The dining experience is a pleasant surprise! The yak hot pot and Tibetan-style earthenware hot pot are generously portioned, incredibly delicious, and made with fresh ingredients, offering authentic local flavors. The butter tea and homemade yogurt are also fantastic. The breakfast is plentiful and tasty, with excellent ******* flatbread, porridge, and pickled vegetables – a satisfying and hearty meal. It's conveniently located near attractions like Naizigou and Qicaijiazu, making travel easy. Overall, the location is excellent, the service is warm, the rooms are clean, the food is delicious, and parking is convenient, making it incredibly cost-effective. It's perfect for family trips, groups of friends, or photography tours. Staying here at Dagu Glacier is definitely a great choice, and I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Heishui. I highly recommend it to everyone visiting Western Sichuan!

Upon checking in, I realized Gar Manor is located on a hilltop across the national highway from Yangrong Village, giving it a secluded feel. It comprises three hotels: Gar Manor, Huazhu She, and Starry City, all sharing a common check-in lobby and breakfast restaurant. Starry City is at the highest elevation with the best views, but the drive up involves very steep winding roads. The worst part was the daily ascent back to the room after meals, a 5-7 minute uphill climb on steps at an altitude of 3000 meters. I stayed in early November, by which time the colorful forests had lost their vibrant hues, and stratocumulus fog is rare in autumn, so the scenery was average and not particularly stunning. The hotel's facilities are quite good for a ******* area, but the management is too casual, not formal or serious enough, and the hygiene needs improvement. Breakfast had too few options and surprisingly no fruit, which doesn't justify the hotel's price. Finally, the road to the hotel from the national highway involves about 5 kilometers of mountain road with many sharp and steep turns. Although the road surface is well-paved, new drivers should be cautious, and driving at night is quite thrilling and not recommended. Lastly, the quality and variety of the hotel's dining options need to be improved. The high prices are understandable given the high and remote location, but the food's lack of flavor doesn't live up to the cost or the image of a high-end hotel.

We arrived late around 9pm, had missed the traditional camp fire dance which started 7pm. Didn’t know the area come with restaurant and cafe area. It was an amazing place to put a night here. Friendly host, amazing building, sophisticated facilities. Ahh we got a free upgrade room that come with nice view and Ai assist - 小度。 🤭

Traveling solo to Dagu Glacier, the front desk staff was incredibly welcoming and even invited me to try some yak jerky. The room was exceptionally clean, and after I booked, they had already turned on the air conditioning and floor heating, making it super cozy. I drive an electric car, and there's a charging station less than 20 meters from the entrance, which is incredibly convenient for long-distance electric vehicle trips.

It's a beautiful Tibetan-style house, a popular spot for photos in the area, with many tourists and photographers coming to take pictures in front of it. The owner (housekeeper) is called Sister Ta, and she's a very kind person. Their building is called Banggebu.

The inn is okay and the transportation is convenient. It is on the national highway near the entrance of Dagu Glacier Scenic Area and only a few kilometers away from the county seat. The bathroom room is clean, it would be best if the floor could be cleaned again. It's quieter at night. There are also charging stations at the door.

P1 and P2 are views from our third-floor rooms. We booked two rooms this time, and my honest review is below the one for the king-size bed. I won't go into too much detail; it was simply beyond my expectations. By the way, let's help our host, Sang Ji, explain the comments section about the unattended self-check-in issue. This is because the B&B recently changed hands and hasn't had a new owner since Sang Ji took over last month. So don't worry, he'll still be there. This hidden gem hotel in Heishui deserves a five-star review! The environment is elegant and clean, the decor is high-quality, the room layout is well-designed, and the bed is very comfortable. The staff are professional and patient, providing attentive service throughout. The breakfast is varied and delicious. Overall, it's an excellent experience and a top choice for travel. The hotel is decent, and there's a restaurant downstairs. However, it's about 1-2 km outside the city, so you'll need to take a taxi to reach convenience stores and restaurants. A taxi from the hotel to the city's taxi stand costs 15 yuan, which isn't too expensive. It's 30 yuan from the hotel to Dagu and 30 yuan from the hotel to Hesui Bus Station (though you can bargain it down to 20 yuan). Overall, the hotel is fine, just a bit far from places to eat. Make sure to get a taxi driver who knows the hotel; the prices mentioned above are standard.
