"I booked a room with a terrace through Trip.com, but was assigned a different layout. However, the owner was very gracious and compensated me, so I'm very satisfied.
Although they didn't speak any English, they tried their best to help me using a translation app, which I really appreciated.
The location was convenient, right in the ancient town.
It was a shame that they didn't offer breakfast."

Perfect
AAstrxdThe environment was very comfortable and relaxing. Beautiful view whwre you can see some of the sea of clouds. They give you disposable coverings for you to put on top of the fresh pillow bedding and mattress for extra hygiene which is a nice touch I haven't seen before. Bathroom is very clean, though there are only two toilets and two showers and two sinks, so do note that for busy season, but it wasn't an issue at all during my stay. They provided breakfast too, fresh milk the boss heated for me when I got up, and red sugar glutinous rice cakes wrapped in banana leaves (babas), and it was fun to get ready for the day with new friends on the balcony overlooking the village. I think the environment is very good for meeting new friends and other solo travelers- I arrived at the hostel randomly at the same time as three other girls, and we explored Manghong togetjer on the boss's recommendations for itinerary and sightseeing. And the next day the boss dropped us off at a tea roasting experience, and just as we were heading to Nuogan another girl from the hostel finished her tea roasting session, so we all went to Nuogan togetjer to play. The boss even helped load my luggage onto the shuttle bus so that it could pick me up at a sightseeing spot further down the mountain!
GGOGHGOWhat truly stands out about this hotel is its exceptional service – it's genuinely meticulous and heartfelt. While it's not a brand new hotel, the amenities are thoughtfully provided, catering to almost every guest's needs. The complimentary laundry service, where your clothes are washed, dried, and delivered to your room, surpasses what 90% of hotels offer. They were incredibly attentive, even setting aside a sun-protection mask I'd left in the restaurant, and promptly checked about a shawl I'd forgotten after checking out. The most impressive moment was when I found a forgotten pillowcase on the table after first entering my room; upon reporting it, they immediately dispatched staff to re-clean, handling it very promptly. All the hotel staff are warm and welcoming, always greeting you and diligently answering every question. The hotel is also conveniently located near attractions and restaurants. The lobby has a pleasant tea area where you can also purchase Pu'er tea. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Pu'er!
GGuest UserThe location had great views over the valley, including the early morning sea of cloud. The property has a rooftop lookout that our group could get together to enjoy the view.
It helped that our taxi could drive through the narrow road of Mengben village and deposit us and our luggage on the doorstep of the homestay. This is unlike Wengji & Nuogang villages, where cars are not allowed to enter the village but deposit visitors at the village carpark.
The hospitality of the owner/hostess was remarkable.
She had a Pu'er tea table and made us endless cups of different tea all grown in her farm, explaining their differences and virtues. She did not charge us a cent for the whole experience. Neither did she try to hard sell the tea leaves although we did buy a small amount off her because we enjoyed the tea. She is a good cook and whipped up breakfast and lunch for us.
GGuest UserThis is the first time we came to Pu’Er and we feel very lucky to have booked this accommodation. We As soon as we entered the property we were welcomed and invites to tea by our wonderful hosts. Even though we cannot speak much Chinese, our hosts showed imense patience and understanding. They offered us advice for travelling, shared different types of tea with us and we received a lot of smiles 😀
The room was beautiful with a lot of wooden elements, large balcony and the spacious bed had the perfect hardness to have a proper good night sleep. It was also very clean, no mosquitos and no bad smells 🙌🏼
The location is also great. It is a quiet and clean area, with a beautiful coffee place by the lake and restaurant near by. Also a small convenience store.
We hope to come again here im the future. Thank you again to our lovely hosts 🙏🏼
GGuest UserThis is a newly opened hotel.
**Facilities:** New, though some items are of lower quality, like the kettle. They have automatic toilets.
**Hygiene:** Clean.
**Environment:** Spacious and grand.
**Service:** Enthusiastic.
The breakfast is plentiful and offers great value for money. They offer three meals a day, and even though I didn't have time to try them all, I could sense the owner's generosity and pioneering spirit. I sincerely hope their management improves, and their business thrives.
GGuest UserIt's very convenient to get around. It's only about a 10-minute walk to Beigui Cafe to watch the sunrise. The rooftop platform has a great view with a panoramic vista of the beautiful scenery. The owner makes rice noodles every day with broth that she has cooked the day before as the base, which is very delicious.
GGuest UserI had an amazing experience. The location is good and the room was very confortable.
The owners are the nicest persons. They cannot speak English but made me feel at home, helped me plan my stay in Pu'er and even arranged a transfer to Jingmai mountain. I highly recommand this place and would definitely stay there if I ever come back to Pu'er.

Very Good
AAnonymous UserThe first established hotel as you enter the mountains, with plenty of parking spaces right across the street, which is very convenient. It's a bit far from the attractions, so you'll need a car. They offer butler-style service; they'll contact you the day before to provide the address, travel tips, and other information. The hotel has a good variety of activities planned, including roasted milk tea, stir-fried melon seeds, and bonfires in the evening. The hotel's dinner was just okay, with plenty of room for improvement. Breakfast on the rooftop had a great ambiance and taste. The rooms aren't luxurious but are perfectly adequate. The air conditioning was a bit old and didn't heat very well. I didn't have time to experience the travel photography session. It was really expensive during Chinese New Year, haha.
GGuest UserThe YU MI apar**ent was clean and as beautiful as on the pictures. We stayed 2 nights and managed to use most of the apar**ent amenities such as a washing machine, TV (English speaking movies included), WIFI (fast and reliable), kettle and hair dryer.
The bathroom was spacious and equipped with a western toilet.
The stuff was very kind and helpful, they went the extra mile to assure our satisfaction, whether by storing our luggage or borrowing to us a knife for cutting fruits.
The area has plenty of good restaurants right in front of the building (inside/around the shopping mall). At night a street market pops up with tasty food. And for those enjoying coffee or tea, the shopping mall offers plenty of shops selling local tea and coffee.
We highly recommend to stay at Yu Mi.
SShiwudeng々I had two unpleasant experiences:
1. After a day out, I returned to find my room door ajar. I asked the front desk what happened, and they checked with housekeeping. Housekeeping replied that they had seen it like that since the morning. And then what? Even if I hadn't closed the door properly myself, you're just going to leave it open all day? Not contact me to confirm? Not close the door?
2. On the morning of my checkout day, while I was still asleep, I received a debit notification around 7 AM. Are you that eager to collect money?
