It truly is a case of 'you get what you pay for'; this hotel is excellent in every aspect. When checking in, the male staff member was very patient, and the female staff next to him even offered us tea. The front desk had complimentary water, fruit, and snacks (thoughtfully provided with napkins), all available for guests to take.
Upon entering the room, I gathered some dirty clothes. I called the front desk, and someone promptly came to collect them, asking about my washing preferences and whether I wanted them delivered back to the room or left at the front desk. I assumed they would be returned that same evening, as I was checking out early the next morning. I called the front desk again, and to my surprise, they quickly had a delivery robot bring them back to the room. The clothes were still warm when I received them!
The room also provided a bathtub liner, bubble bath products, and disposable face towels, which was a very thoughtful touch. All the drinks in the mini-fridge were complimentary.
Due to my itinerary, I didn't get to enjoy lunch, but breakfast was incredibly rich, even offering double-skin milk pudding and Guilinggao (tortoise jelly). The late-night supper, starting at 7:30 PM, was especially a thoughtful addition.
There was a particularly wonderful young woman at the front desk; I regret not noting her name on her nametag. She was small and slender, but she helped carry my luggage, both at check-in and check-out, even lifting it into the car. She was truly amazing. You could also find frangipani flowers that had fallen from the trees next to the lobby.
This one-night stay was incredibly worthwhile, and the experience was fantastic. Every staff member I encountered was courteous and attentive. If I ever have the chance to visit Yunnan again, I will definitely choose Deting Hotel.

Guest UserThe location had great views over the valley, including the early morning sea of cloud. The property has a rooftop lookout that our group could get together to enjoy the view.
It helped that our taxi could drive through the narrow road of Mengben village and deposit us and our luggage on the doorstep of the homestay. This is unlike Wengji & Nuogang villages, where cars are not allowed to enter the village but deposit visitors at the village carpark.
The hospitality of the owner/hostess was remarkable.
She had a Pu'er tea table and made us endless cups of different tea all grown in her farm, explaining their differences and virtues. She did not charge us a cent for the whole experience. Neither did she try to hard sell the tea leaves although we did buy a small amount off her because we enjoyed the tea. She is a good cook and whipped up breakfast and lunch for us.

This is the first time we came to Pu’Er and we feel very lucky to have booked this accommodation. We As soon as we entered the property we were welcomed and invites to tea by our wonderful hosts. Even though we cannot speak much Chinese, our hosts showed imense patience and understanding. They offered us advice for travelling, shared different types of tea with us and we received a lot of smiles 😀
The room was beautiful with a lot of wooden elements, large balcony and the spacious bed had the perfect hardness to have a proper good night sleep. It was also very clean, no mosquitos and no bad smells 🙌🏼
The location is also great. It is a quiet and clean area, with a beautiful coffee place by the lake and restaurant near by. Also a small convenience store.
We hope to come again here im the future. Thank you again to our lovely hosts 🙏🏼

Guest UserThis is a newly opened hotel.
**Facilities:** New, though some items are of lower quality, like the kettle. They have automatic toilets.
**Hygiene:** Clean.
**Environment:** Spacious and grand.
**Service:** Enthusiastic.
The breakfast is plentiful and offers great value for money. They offer three meals a day, and even though I didn't have time to try them all, I could sense the owner's generosity and pioneering spirit. I sincerely hope their management improves, and their business thrives.

AstrxdThe environment was very comfortable and relaxing. Beautiful view whwre you can see some of the sea of clouds. They give you disposable coverings for you to put on top of the fresh pillow bedding and mattress for extra hygiene which is a nice touch I haven't seen before. Bathroom is very clean, though there are only two toilets and two showers and two sinks, so do note that for busy season, but it wasn't an issue at all during my stay. They provided breakfast too, fresh milk the boss heated for me when I got up, and red sugar glutinous rice cakes wrapped in banana leaves (babas), and it was fun to get ready for the day with new friends on the balcony overlooking the village. I think the environment is very good for meeting new friends and other solo travelers- I arrived at the hostel randomly at the same time as three other girls, and we explored Manghong togetjer on the boss's recommendations for itinerary and sightseeing. And the next day the boss dropped us off at a tea roasting experience, and just as we were heading to Nuogan another girl from the hostel finished her tea roasting session, so we all went to Nuogan togetjer to play. The boss even helped load my luggage onto the shuttle bus so that it could pick me up at a sightseeing spot further down the mountain!

The luckiest decision on my trip to Wengji Ancient Village in Jingmai Mountain was choosing Guesthouse No. 69. This guesthouse, run by Brother Ni, didn't rely on flashy advertising, but its thoughtful details made every guest feel a warmth that exceeded expectations, becoming the most precious memory of the entire trip. The guesthouse's location is prime, situated in the heart of the ancient village, surrounded by cafes and specialty restaurants. The popular Beigui Coffee Shop is diagonally opposite, so whether you're looking for a cup of coffee in the morning or a delicious meal in the evening, you don't have to go far. Even more surprisingly, the room had its own small balcony, comfortable and cozy, so I decided to extend my stay.
The room facilities were new, spacious and bright, the bedding was soft and comfortable against the skin, and the pillows were especially good. Combined with the tranquility of the ancient village at night, it ensured a good night's sleep. A smart toilet and user-friendly shower facilities were all provided, and toiletries and other daily necessities were exceptionally complete, dispelling all my concerns about accommodation in the ancient village, making my stay comfortable.
The owner's enthusiasm and his wife's thoughtfulness were also the most touching aspects of this trip. They were like long-lost friends, sharing travel tips for the ancient village, inviting us to sample their homemade Pu'er tea, and chatting warmly and sincerely. The guesthouse breakfast was a delightful surprise: flavorful rice noodles with plenty of ingredients, sweet corn, eggs from local free-range chickens, and refreshing grapes 🍇😋😋😋.
The guesthouse also offers ethnic costume rental services, with exclusive discounts for guests. Wearing Bulang ethnic clothing and taking photos on the ancient village's cobblestone streets and beside old banyan trees instantly immerses you in the local atmosphere. The owner even took a break from his busy schedule to show us the sunrise and sea of clouds; the tranquility and healing away from the hustle and bustle were unforgettable.
There's no commercial alienation here, only the warmth and comfort of home. Next time I visit Jingmai Mountain, I'll definitely return to this ”warm little home” hidden in the ancient village.

Guest UserIt's very convenient to get around. It's only about a 10-minute walk to Beigui Cafe to watch the sunrise. The rooftop platform has a great view with a panoramic vista of the beautiful scenery. The owner makes rice noodles every day with broth that she has cooked the day before as the base, which is very delicious.

I have been traveling to China for over 40 years and have visited Yunnan five times since 1985. But this time it was an overwhelming experience, mainly thanks to the Dejuan Inn (Tea Horse Ancient City Branch) and the couple (that includes the sister/sister-in-law) who run this charming hotel
The location in the old town is perfect, and the rooms are large and beautifully furnished and the shower works perfectly. Dozens of boutiques, shops, and restaurants can be found in the surrounding area.
Be sure to reserve breakfast, which is not available at the hotel but nearby in a quaint noodle restaurant.
The hotel managers can help with any questions or requests and find a solution for everything. You can't experience Pu'er more authentically than this!
The Deyuan Inn made my 5th visit to Yunnan so amazing. If there is such a thing as a home away from home, it's the Deyuan Inn!

The first established hotel as you enter the mountains, with plenty of parking spaces right across the street, which is very convenient. It's a bit far from the attractions, so you'll need a car. They offer butler-style service; they'll contact you the day before to provide the address, travel tips, and other information. The hotel has a good variety of activities planned, including roasted milk tea, stir-fried melon seeds, and bonfires in the evening. The hotel's dinner was just okay, with plenty of room for improvement. Breakfast on the rooftop had a great ambiance and taste. The rooms aren't luxurious but are perfectly adequate. The air conditioning was a bit old and didn't heat very well. I didn't have time to experience the travel photography session. It was really expensive during Chinese New Year, haha.

The YU MI apar**ent was clean and as beautiful as on the pictures. We stayed 2 nights and managed to use most of the apar**ent amenities such as a washing machine, TV (English speaking movies included), WIFI (fast and reliable), kettle and hair dryer.
The bathroom was spacious and equipped with a western toilet.
The stuff was very kind and helpful, they went the extra mile to assure our satisfaction, whether by storing our luggage or borrowing to us a knife for cutting fruits.
The area has plenty of good restaurants right in front of the building (inside/around the shopping mall). At night a street market pops up with tasty food. And for those enjoying coffee or tea, the shopping mall offers plenty of shops selling local tea and coffee.
We highly recommend to stay at Yu Mi.
