"We stayed as a couple in their 50s and their son and his wife. Dinner was served in the dining area, and the hot dishes were kept warm. The portions were generous, the flavor was great, and the all-you-can-drink alcohol was a delight for heavy drinkers.
The breakfast buffet was also satisfying, with the option to grill dried fish at the table. The location is right in front of the ocean, and the view from our room was great. There was also an open-air hot spring bath, so we were able to relax while looking out at the sea. Overall, we were satisfied for the price. If I had to mention one drawback, it would be that there was no air conditioning in the corridors we used to move around, which was quite hot in this heatwave. Even after washing off the sweat in the bath, we were drenched in sweat by the time we got back to our room.
(The air conditioning in the rooms was comfortable.)"

"The environment is nice, clean, and hygienic. There's no turndown service. It's right by the sea, so you can go for a walk in the evening. There are quite a few people fishing on the pier. There were a few insects near the hot spring in the room, probably because there's a mountain behind the hotel, but I managed to catch a few bigger ones! 💪 The sunset was beautiful, and lying in bed at night, I could even see the moon from my childhood! The photos are straight from the camera, unedited. The parking lot isn't at the hotel, which is inconvenient, and there's a lot of traffic when crossing the road. 😂"

Amazing
JJake ECAbsolutely gem of a ryokan and our favourite place to stay. Admittedly we did have the western beds (very cozy). Having a room along the river and across the suspension bridge was magical and exciting. Everything was perfect. The staff were so welcoming and made us feel incredibly at home from the moment we arrived.
The highlight for us was our private riverside onsen right in our room—soaking there with the sound of the river rushing by was pure magic. The beautiful ”Kikuya Pond” (KKJ pond) and the overall historic, serene layout of the property added so much charm to the experience.
The Kaiseki dining was utterly delicious, beautifully presented, and a true culinary highlight of our trip. As Westerners, we felt incredibly valued, respected, and well-taken care of by the staff. That being said, hospitality goes both ways! We highly recommend that fellow Western travellers take the time to learn basic Japanese phrases and standard ryokan etiquette before visiting. It’s a two-way street, and showing that respect makes an already world-class experience even more meaningful.
Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. We cannot recommend Yukairo Kikuya highly enough and cannot wait to return.
GGuest UserLocated beside the stream, it is a nice Japanese hot spring courtyard holiday experience! The private hot spring experience is good, and the meals in the morning and evening also give a sense of ritual. It's just that the tatami in the bedroom area does not have floor heating in winter, which makes it a little uncomfortable. Maybe it would be more comfortable to go out in spring and escape the heat in summer.
LLIHUAHotel location is good, very close to Xiushan Temple, Bamboo Forest Trail. There are 7 floors, which are considered high in local hotels.
There is a forest behind the hotel and the air is nice.
The old lady at the front desk was very kind and friendly in English.
Dining is a VIP room in each section, you can enjoy the food quietly.
Open air, go out on the fifth floor. The scale is not very large, connected to the mountains. An appointment is required. The time for soaking is 45 minutes. The time is up before people feel truly relaxed.
Breakfast time is earlier and I want to go back and rest after eating. The tatami beds have been put away. Check-out time is 10:30 in the morning, guests can't leave, and then clean up. Not very humane.
진진영님이If you stay alone in Shuzenji Onsen Village, it would be a great hostel...
I couldn't make a reservation for a ryokan because I made a reservation in a hurry, but fortunately I think I found a decent accommodation. The room was very small and felt like an attic, and there was a lounge and kitchen restaurant, so I had a comfortable rest. If you visit the hot spring village alone, it is highly recommended 👍 because it is a feeling of renovation into an old Japanese-style second-floor house, so it feels strange, and you can rent a yukata. The bath is a bit old, so try the Shuzenji public hot spring bath to experience the hot spring bath ㅋ
GGuest UserThe room is small, Japanese style, but very clean, the best is breakfast and dinner, banquet cuisine, each is very delicate, attentive, very delicious, more than expected. The soup is a private soup, the garden soup, very good 👍
GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at Laforet Shuzenji Sanshisuimei. Overall, the experience was excellent and very relaxing.
I booked the Mt. Fuji Side Hot Spring Open-air Bath room, and it was absolutely worth it. The room was very spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed. Having a private onsen bath in the room made the stay feel extra special. Soaking in the open-air bath while enjoying the peaceful mountain surroundings was truly unforgettable.
The location is tucked away in the mountains, which makes it perfect for those who value privacy, tranquility, and a quiet escape from the city. However, it may not be ideal for travelers looking for a highly convenient or easily accessible location. I drove there and would strongly recommend doing so. Complimentary parking is available, which made the trip very convenient.
One small note for future guests: toothbrushes are not provided in the room and need to be purchased at check-in, so it’s good to prepare in advance.
The only minor issue during my stay was that the temperature control for the private onsen bath in my room was not functioning perfectly. It would be great if this could be improved. That said, it did not take away from the overall enjoyment of the stay.
Overall, it was a fantastic and rejuvenating experience. I would definitely consider returning for another peaceful getaway.
MMic890This hotel is located in uphill. It is difficult to walk up to the hotel, better to plan your itinerary with free shuttle schedule. The free shuttle bus schedule stored in the hotel website but the file I couldn’t able to download. You can call the hotel for details. The hotel facilitates are good but every single spot are not walking distance. It is suggested to buy some snacks/food before going up to the hotel. If you play golf, they have a view of Mt Fuji.
The staff here are polite and willing to answer your questions.
GGuest UserI had a good time with my dog. It was quiet and the scenery was good, and there was an open-air bath in each room, so I was able to enter at any time. Most of the staff are foreigners, but they were good at Japanese and there was no problem.
