"This is a Perfect palazzo in a perfect ancient hill town! A flawlessly restored and renovated palazzo with jaw dropping rooms and bathrooms, panoramic views, comfy lounges with the family’s own wine from their vineyard, gardens meandering up and down the hillside and the friendliest most gracious hostess and staff. On my trip to Venice and Milan our stay in Bergamo was the best part. If you want to dream you are a renaissance prince or princess then come to Bergamo and stay here The beds are divine. The breakfast is delicious. The decor is antiques (but not scary antiques) and the murals hand painted on the lounge walls are entrancing. Yes there is an elevator! On a very quiet quaint stone side street with almost no street noise. And the town is filled with great little restaurants and shops. And these little restaurants serve incredible Italian wine. Treat yourself to a stay of a lifetime! Very easy to get to Bergamo by train - on your way from Venice to Milan or vice versa. Enjoy!"

The guidebook, which is also sent, contains lots of useful tips; for example, we learned that the airport can be reached by bus. The breakfasts are excellent, and complimentary candies are always available in the lounge. Drinking water is also always available. The room is full of pleasant, comfortable, and practical touches. "Located on the outskirts of the city, the windows overlook repair work on the railroad tracks. If you are traveling by car, the navigators do not lead you exactly where you need to go. Is it really impossible to solve this problem at the hotel administration level, instead of sending a map that is impossible to understand? The breakfasts are not bad, but for 20 euros, I expected more variety. There was only one pair of slippers for two people in our room. After we complained about this, the staff did nothing, so I assume this is hotel policy. The floor in the room was dirty. "
