"The most noteworthy feature of this hotel is the incredibly spacious rooms. After researching all the available options in Bintulu, I can confidently say that Goldenbay Hotel offers the best value for money. I would certainly choose to stay here again on my next visit to the area. The amenities were another high point of the trip. It was a lucky coincidence that a comb was provided, as I had forgotten to pack one. Furthermore, I was impressed by the quality of the hair and body shampoos. It is rare for me to enjoy hotel-provided toiletries, but these left me feeling truly clean and lathered up well. To top it off, the rooftop offers a gorgeous view, especially during sunset. However, there were a few drawbacks during my stay. I booked two rooms; while my room was fine, the second room had significant lighting issues. Although the reception sent a technician to help, they only managed to fix one light. Even after the repair, that room remained much dimmer than mine. Additionally, the bidet in my own bathroom was leaking. It felt a bit ironic to see multiple signs encouraging guests to save water and use the bidet instead of paper when the fixture itself wasn't working properly. Lastly, the breakfast was a bit of a letdown. The selection was quite limited, and the taste was only average. If I return to this hotel in the future, I would likely book a room-only rate and find breakfast elsewhere."

"Being the traveler, I think I made the correct decision to choose Promenade Hotel which provided the professional hospitality and service to me. Besides that, the hotel is located in the city centre, so it’s so convenient for me to find restaurants nearby. Strongly recommended."

"The facilities and cleanliness were great, which I appreciated. However, there are a few things I'd like to point out. The drain cover in the restroom was open, and I had to close it myself. I tried the complimentary breakfast for two people per night. It was really disappointing. The cereal seemed old, and the spaghetti looked like it was made without any effort. In my opinion, it would be better to either remove the breakfast option entirely or increase the room rate and improve the quality of the breakfast. I felt that the breakfast could really detract from the hotel's image, despite the clean and well-maintained rooms. Thank you for a comfortable stay!"

"I have stayed at this hotel many times whenever I travel to Bintulu. It is a great choice for travelers as it is located in the heart of Bintulu town and within walking distance to a mall, making it convenient to find food and enjoy leisure activities such as movies and shopping. The hotel also provides swimming pool and gym facilities, which are a plus for guests. However, this around there was an unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom in my staying room. Aside from this issue, the hotel remains one of the best accommodation options for travelers visiting Bintulu."

"Room a little small for King size bed, but still ok and acceptable. Have small fridge, iron and iron board, tv (weird placement), plenty of electric sockets. What superb about this hotel is breakfast; purchase altogether with room and it'll be worth it."

"First of all, I booked room with window but was given no window. Secondly, shower drains was very very slow in drainage. After the so call repair, it's still same condition. Nevertheless I feedback to customer service to take note. All these we can tolerate. To late night when cigarette smell was smelt in our room and loud noise heard, reported to counter staff, she warned the customer but to no avail. We reported thrice. They seem to be drunk!!! Heard they left the room and we managed to take a wink. Came back around 3am and made loud noise again. We requested to change room but the girl tried to contact boss via WA and call, no response. We insisted on and then was agreed to change. We get to know that those peoples were some kind of relationship to the boss so that's why they were allowed to stay in this hotel with this kind of wrong activities. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed. Unless the management do something or it'll not be successful."

"The inn was adequately nice and clean. Provided all basic necessities including shampoo, wash gels, clean towels, toilet paper and hairdryer. Wifi available in rooms. Tv however only had basic channels with poor signal. But otherwise it was an enjoyable stay."

It's suitable for business trips, transit, or a short getaway in Bintulu. 🛏️ The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable for resting. Even though I was staying alone, the room space was sufficient and quiet, truly perfect for relaxing after a day of activities. Basic facilities like the air conditioning and bathroom worked well. 👩💼 The staff were friendly and helpful, and both check-in and check-out procedures were smooth without any issues. 💡 Minor drawbacks: This hotel is basic and leans more towards budget accommodation, so there are no luxury facilities. It's suitable for rest and sleep, not for extensive hotel activities."
