Summerplace Game Reserve

"We booked Summerplace Game Reserve for a birthday weekend celebration and from the get go we were spoiled with luxury accommodation, delicious food (I must commend the food, as being vegetarian it is generally very difficult to find good vegetarian food at game reserves), spectacular service and beautiful sceneries. To top it off, when Summerplace found out it was my birthday they upgraded our accommodation. I will definitely be back, but next time with my furbabies - yes they are pet friendly!"

Phumelelo Lodge

"Exquisite location with such friendly staff that stand at the ready to help and cater to every whim. Booking a regular room is recommended as the larger room has a door which borders the main guest area. As such, it is extremely noisy. This room also looks out on the main patio with no inner curtains with the result that there’s no privacy. A regular room offers the same level of comfort, but with added privacy on the deck area and its further away from the main guest area which offers peace and quiet. All rooms look out onto a beautiful valley with proverbial four poster beds shaped as elephant tusks. The only negative were the old, lumpy pillows, which need urgent replacement. The chef cooks traditional African meals which were delicious, but for this type of venue, needs perhaps a bit more finesse in terms of having better options for a continental breakfast and enquiring with guests as to how they would prefer their meat cooked beforehand. A word of warning to coffee lovers, there’s only instant coffee, so better go and enjoy the hospitality armed with your own!"
