This is a 4-star hotel, very close to Kyoto Station, and they offer a free shuttle bus to and from the station. The shuttle picks up on the left side when you exit the *Karasuma Central Exit* (条口) of Kyoto Station. There isn't much to explore around the hotel itself, and very few restaurants. If you plan on taking the train or eating out, it's best to head to Kyoto Station. Kyoto Station is large and beautiful, a tourist attraction in itself, and even has a big Isetan department store!

The breakfast restaurant on the 14th floor is a revolving restaurant with panoramic views of Kyoto. However, the Western set breakfast is quite mediocre. The breakfast restaurant on the first floor offers both Japanese and Western options, but the value for money isn't great. In terms of transportation, besides taking the train from Kyoto Station, you can also catch a bus nearby. It's a bit far from the livelier areas of Sanjo and Shijo, making it suitable for guests who prefer a quiet stay and want to be close to Kyoto Station.

I had a great stay at RIHGA Gran Kyoto Hotel. The location is extremely convenient — it’s just a short walk from Kyoto Station, which you can easily reach directly from Kansai International Airport via the Haruka Express. This made traveling with luggage very hassle-free.
There are two convenience stores located near the hotel, which is perfect for quick snacks, drinks, or last-minute necessities. There’s also a shopping mall right next to the hotel, making it easy to shop, dine, or relax without having to travel far.
For those driving, there are three parking lots nearby, which is very convenient and stress-free. Overall, the hotel offers excellent accessibility, great surrounding facilities, and a comfortable stay. Highly recommended!

The king room was spacious for Japan. The breakfast and ambiance in the hotel lobby were great, and many foreign travelers chose to stay here too. It's quite close to Kawaramachi, so you can easily go shopping at department stores like Daimaru.

The room was small! But the lobby was incredibly grand, like a relic from the昭和 era, truly aristocratic! The check-in staff provided classic Japanese service – warm and polite!

It's a bit of a walk from the subway station, but if you're taking the bus, it's super convenient because the bus stop is right in front of the hotel!

My favorite feature was the radio by the bed in the room. The night I checked in, I tuned into a random station that was playing old Japanese songs, and every single one was so good. Listening to those Japanese songs while showering and packing made me feel like I'd traveled back to the昭和 period.

The concierge gave me a bit of trouble during check-in regarding the bed size, but I assume that's not a common issue for most guests. The matter was handled by Trip.com customer service and the hotel manager, and everything was resolved smoothly—everyone was happy in the end. The hotel is visibly old, but it's clean and well-maintained. It's suitable for guests who drive, as it offers a relatively large car park.

The location is absolutely fantastic, right next to Shiba Park and incredibly close to Tokyo Tower – just a short walk away. The room, though small, was clean, comfortable, and very convenient for transport. The service was genuinely reliable, honest, and thoughtful. Especially impressive was how the hotel staff carefully kept and fully returned the three New Year's red envelopes I had left under the pillow. Even though it was only a few thousand RMB, it was a New Year's gift for my daughter and represented the ritual of the holiday, so losing it would have been incredibly upsetting. This level of reliability, honesty, and attentiveness is rarer and more valuable than any beautiful view. When I go to Tokyo again, this hotel will definitely be my first choice for peace of mind!

Our family of four stayed at this new hotel, and right from the moment we checked in at the front desk, we were met with incredibly friendly service. The staff even offered the kids a gashapon capsule toy and provided a map with information on nearby attractions and transportation. The complimentary amenities near the front desk were varied and very practical.

The room was spacious, and since the hotel is newly opened, all the facilities were brand new. My family members raved about their experience at the public bath! Highly recommended!

There are plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, drugstores, and even a large toy store nearby – it’s fantastic. Plus, it’s super close to the subway station. If we ever visit Osaka again, we'll definitely stay at this hotel!

I've stayed here twice now and both experiences were great. This time, they even had self-check-in, which was super convenient and quick. The location is also fantastic; there's a direct bus to the Dome, making it really easy to catch a show.
