This is a 4-star hotel, very close to Kyoto Station, and they offer a free shuttle bus to and from the station. The shuttle picks up on the left side when you exit the *Karasuma Central Exit* (条口) of Kyoto Station. There isn't much to explore around the hotel itself, and very few restaurants. If you plan on taking the train or eating out, it's best to head to Kyoto Station. Kyoto Station is large and beautiful, a tourist attraction in itself, and even has a big Isetan department store!

The breakfast restaurant on the 14th floor is a revolving restaurant with panoramic views of Kyoto. However, the Western set breakfast is quite mediocre. The breakfast restaurant on the first floor offers both Japanese and Western options, but the value for money isn't great. In terms of transportation, besides taking the train from Kyoto Station, you can also catch a bus nearby. It's a bit far from the livelier areas of Sanjo and Shijo, making it suitable for guests who prefer a quiet stay and want to be close to Kyoto Station.

I had a great stay at RIHGA Gran Kyoto Hotel. The location is extremely convenient — it’s just a short walk from Kyoto Station, which you can easily reach directly from Kansai International Airport via the Haruka Express. This made traveling with luggage very hassle-free.
There are two convenience stores located near the hotel, which is perfect for quick snacks, drinks, or last-minute necessities. There’s also a shopping mall right next to the hotel, making it easy to shop, dine, or relax without having to travel far.
For those driving, there are three parking lots nearby, which is very convenient and stress-free. Overall, the hotel offers excellent accessibility, great surrounding facilities, and a comfortable stay. Highly recommended!

The hotel is quite new, and check-in was smooth. The two beds were pushed together. There's free coffee on the first floor. The only downside is that it's located in a small alley, which can be a bit challenging with large luggage. It's about a 6-minute walk from Shijo Station, Exit A (with an escalator).

The room was small! But the lobby was incredibly grand, like a relic from the昭和 era, truly aristocratic! The check-in staff provided classic Japanese service – warm and polite!

It's a bit of a walk from the subway station, but if you're taking the bus, it's super convenient because the bus stop is right in front of the hotel!

My favorite feature was the radio by the bed in the room. The night I checked in, I tuned into a random station that was playing old Japanese songs, and every single one was so good. Listening to those Japanese songs while showering and packing made me feel like I'd traveled back to the昭和 period.

One of the best hotel experiences I've had in Japan, especially for Tokyo. The staff were incredibly enthusiastic and welcoming, which is a rare find in such a big city. The lobby offers complimentary coffee, tea, and snacks available all day. The room was quite spacious, and the twin beds were large. The location is excellent, with easy access to airport transportation. While it's an older hotel, it's well-maintained. The only minor issue was a slight odor from the toilet. I'd definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Tokyo.

This hotel is perfect for family gatherings. The Chinese restaurant on the first floor is friendly and delicious. The shuttle to Takadanobaba makes shopping and lodging convenient. I plan to stay here again.

The new hotel has a convenient location, just a 1-minute walk from the subway station and next to Shinsegae. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and very clean. The staff are very nice and helpful. The bath is large and comfortable, and there are sauna facilities. The best surprise was the free vacuum sealer, which was convenient for packing large quantities of souvenirs. I will definitely stay at the same hotel next time I visit Osaka! 😊😊

The hotel is super close to the subway station, right at the exit. The room was generally clean, and both comfort and quietness were good. It's a bit of a walk from the JR station, about 15 minutes. Breakfast was quite expensive, so I didn't eat at the hotel; there's a Matsuya across the street which was a good alternative.
