Service: It is a treasure homestay. There were not many people when I checked in, so I chose a twin room. The staff in the folk custom have a strong sense of service, are very enthusiastic, and are willing to respond to requests. They also take the initiative to introduce local characteristics and nearby tourist attractions. Coming here is like coming to a very familiar friend's home. It is warm and welcoming everywhere and will not make you feel stressed. Environment: The environment is really nothing to say. There are three courtyards, and each courtyard has different micro-landscapes. The layout of each place is very attentive. You can see the water flowing in the ancient town when you go out of the door! You can also relax for a moment while sitting and drinking tea while watching the scenery. The most amazing thing is the food: I originally wanted to dine in the ancient town, and then I learned that I could also dine there. I was in the mood to try it. I didn't expect it to be amazing. It was delicious, just like being at home. Our family of three had a full belly every meal. Sesame oil duck, pig intestines and blood, milk soup noodles, dried radish, and Bobo chicken really made me linger. My husband and I, who don't eat spicy food, can't stop eating. Hygiene: The hygiene in the room is OK, clean and tidy. This is the first time I stay in a homestay and don't know what other homestays look like. This one is good. There were mosquitoes in the house at that time, and the staff brought mosquito coils and mosquito repellent. Thumbs up! Afternoon tea at your heart: I tried white tea, black tea, and canned milk tea. As the saying goes, only when your heart is calm can you taste the flavor. So everyone can experience it slowly according to their mood at that time.

Staying in the Yuan Qiao Deluxe Family Private Hot Spring Suite at the Tiangong Heyuan Hotel in Dayi was an absolutely fantastic experience! The room comes with one large bed and a sofa bed, offering plenty of space for families. The entire room features smart voice control (just say ”Hello Xiaowei”) to adjust lights and curtains, and the smart toilet is incredibly convenient. The bathroom boasts a modern, minimalist grey design with large tiled walls and floors, complemented by black fixtures, and the shower includes a niche, giving it a premium feel. The private hot spring tub in the room was the most delightful surprise, with its silky smooth thermal water. Guests can also enjoy the rooftop hot spring and steam room. The bedding is soft, breakfast is plentiful, and complimentary fruit and a minibar are provided. Full marks – highly recommend!

We stayed at Qixi Guest House in Dayi, Sichuan with our two kids and chose the River View Loft Room — and it was such a lovely experience. The room was very clean and comfortable. Our kids absolutely loved it because they had their own space in the loft area. There were plush toys and books prepared for them, which made it even more special. The loft area also had a warmer, so it stayed cozy and comfortable. The owner is very kind, and the place is managed by two elderly ladies who are incredibly sweet — they reminded us of our own grandmothers. They were so warm, caring, and genuinely helpful. They even helped us book taxis because it can be quite difficult to get a Didi in this area. There are no halal restaurants nearby, so it’s best to bring ready-to-eat food from home. However, they knew we are Muslim and thoughtfully prepared halal-friendly breakfast for us — noodles, fried eggs, vegetables, buns, candy, nuts, and boxed milk. We truly appreciated their effort. Downstairs, there is a shared kitchen area that guests can use. It’s well-equipped with utensils, a microwave, hot water dispenser (similar to Coway), and basic kitchen facilities — very convenient for families. The only downside is that there is no lift. The building has three levels. We stayed on Level 2 (just one flight of stairs up from the ground floor), so it was manageable, but carrying heavy luggage could be challenging. When we checked out, the owner even gave us a small gift bag with a keychain and fridge magnet — such a sweet gesture. From the guesthouse, it takes only about 20 minutes by Didi to reach Xiling Snow Mountain. Just make sure to book your ride 20–30 minutes earlier because it can be hard to get a car in this area. There are small shops nearby if you need drinks or basic items, but by around 9:40 pm, most places close and the area becomes very quiet. The river view from our room was absolutely beautiful. The guesthouse is located at the foothill area with charming ancient China village vibes — peaceful and scenic. The hospitality was truly heartfelt. We also noticed many Malay guests have stayed here before, so they are familiar with preparing Muslim-friendly meals. Overall, we had a very warm and memorable stay. Highly recommended for families visiting Xiling Snow Mountain.

so far 3 night at chengdu. this is the most favourite accommodation of mine. The host super kind, helpful, generous. The room so spacious for 4 of us (2 kids /2 adult) the best things is the bed got heater & wool blanket to make sure we warm because weather here is super cold. Also i love the comfy sofa provided and I can relax and doing my work using the laptop. The host also gave us borrow extra heater and so generous provide us an oranges. The best part is I can put my luggage at reception while I go up to Xiling Mountain. You can ask the host to help booking bus ticket back to Chengdu city. Open the window and just secure the window net so you can enjoy the windy cold weather. Feel so blessed enjoying the God nature here. Overall I highly recommended this accommodation. So relax and peaceful.. the only sound I can hear is my kids snoring 😜🤣

Stumbled upon a super hassle-free hotel! The entire place was spotless and fresh, the bedding was soft, and the room had great natural light. The blackout curtains were amazing. What really stood out were the thoughtful little details: the front desk had Huoxiang Zhengqi water (a traditional Chinese medicine for heatstroke) and band-aids ready, so no need to panic if something unexpected happened while out and about. The facilities were complete, the bathroom was clean, and overall it was quiet and comfortable. I felt safe and at ease staying here – definitely my top choice for accommodation when traveling!

The room was very clean and spacious, and the owner was super nice and offered thoughtful service. The air was great, not too hot, and we could even swim in the river, which the kids absolutely loved!!! In the morning, we stumbled upon a market and bought some local produce to take home, which was a pleasant surprise!! This place is perfect for a summer getaway, family trips, and for entertaining the little ones. Highly recommend!!

This is budget accommodation in walking distance 800m from the entrance of Xiling snow mountain. We arrived by bus at 10:30 and contacted hotel to pick our luggages at the entrance. Staffs were very kind and energetic. We came down and walked back to the hotel. It is cheaper to stay here and has many options for dinner. But heating system was not working so very cold at night as we stayed over Christmas. Simple breakfasts can be ordered. For non Chinese speakers like us, try to get WeChat of the hotel in advance.

We saty at the guest occupancy double room 1. The room is amazing. Very nice. But what is great about this hotel is the two reception both of them same surname Zhang 张先生和张女士. In this ending season soon, they were both very helpful and friendly. They maintained a high level of commitment to us to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. Despite the season for skiing is ending, they provided much needed information for us to continue to enjoy our stay. Keeping us updated of snow weather we we eventually get to see snow and go skiing. They even help us to arrange for our transport for checkout especially with off season difficulties in trying to get down the mountain why scandina resort hotel is located.

Overall, the room was decent, but the cleaning wasn't thorough. Under the bed was quite dirty, with lots of dust and papers. For a price of over 1200 yuan, including tickets for two adults and the cable car up to the ski resort, plus the bus fee, it felt like a good deal. The tickets alone would be 240*2=480, and we also received a 100 yuan dinner voucher. So, 1250 - 580 = 670, meaning the room itself was around 670 yuan a night, which is pretty reasonable for the period around Chinese New Year. The bottled water in the room was a super big bottle, and the hotel dinner was delicious. It was very cost-effective with the voucher – the boiled fish and cauliflower were absolutely amazing, I highly recommend them! The room was advertised as having underfloor heating, but the floor wasn't actually warm. However, it wasn't cold in the room, so it was fine. Xiling Snow Mountain is perfect for kids to play in the snow, build snowmen, and ski. It snowed on Feb 7th and 8th, and we arrived on the afternoon of Feb 10th. Our younger child played for a good half-day just building snowmen at the hotel entrance. The older child went skiing at the resort, hired an instructor for 2 hours, and skied for 4 hours. Renting gear and all cost about 1000 yuan. The instructor suggested booking a 2-hour single board lesson for 600 yuan upfront. If you book an hour and then extend for another, it's 340+340=680 yuan. Adult skiing costs 168 for two hours, and children's skiing is 128 for two hours, with an extension fee of 30 yuan for half an hour. Once accumulated to 6 hours, it becomes a full-day pass. Our child wanted to learn snowboarding, so we hired a single board instructor. We only booked for an hour initially, thinking an extension would be calculated as part of the 600 yuan total, but it wasn't; it was 340+340=680. Since we rarely visit, it's fine as long as the child had fun. I feel it's much better than going to Harbin in Northeast China. It was too cold there when I visited, and the kids couldn't really enjoy playing in the snow because only their eyes could be exposed, and they needed two pairs of gloves to stay warm. But Xiling Snow Mountain was great! The 0-degree temperature wasn't too cold, and the kids had a blast. No wonder it's called the warmest snow mountain! Before going, I was hesitant, wondering if it would be as underwhelming as some online reviews suggested, but I genuinely found it very worthwhile. The free snow play area is quite large, feeling even bigger than the paid Panda Paradise. I also recommend going up to Sun and Moon Peak (Riyueping). Children under 13 are free, and adults are 96 yuan each. You might even see squirrels 🐿️ up there. We went up in the afternoon, so it might have been too cold by evening for the squirrels to be out. Those who went in the morning saw them. We were playing in the snow at the entrance, and a guest told us Riyueping was worth taking the kids up to, so we rushed there before leaving in the afternoon. I recommend going around 9 AM when the sun is just out and warm, and you'll have a better chance of seeing squirrels 🐿️.
