AAnonymous UserThis guesthouse offers rooms where you can enjoy tea while gazing at the mountains. It's incredibly pleasant to stroll through the courtyard on a rainy morning and see the distant mountains shrouded in mist. The guesthouse is very close to Mount Song (Zhongyue) and Songyang Academy; just turn right and walk straight. Shaolin Temple is also close if there are no traffic restrictions. There's also a Ding Guohua Hu La Tang nearby that's great for breakfast. The location is quiet yet central, making it convenient for getting anywhere, especially for those traveling by car. The owner is a handsome, cheerful guy who is very easy to talk to; he'll prepare fruit, brew tea, and chat about life. During check-in, I met his mother, a very kind and talkative aunt. Staying in the room felt like being in a forest cabin – clean and tidy, with a nice hot shower. I'm looking forward to an even better tomorrow.

Service: The service is very good, the water heater failed on the second night, the boss specially opened a room for us to take a shower, the service is very good

GGuest UserAll in all we are quite satisfied with our short stay. We haven't used any of the hotel amenities like swimming pool or restaurant, so it's impossible to comment upon them. However, we'd like to say thank you to the stuff that is available any time. It turned out that one faucet didn't work properly and we only found it out at around 11 p.m. We called service number and the problem was solved within 10 minutes. One more pleasant thing is the pillow menu) The beds are generally very comfortable (unlike in many other Chinese hotels), but you still can choose an orthopedic pillow to your liking. That was very nice! Location is good (around 15 min to the mountain park entrance and to the bus station).
Unfortunately, we are not very happy with the view. (It was a mountain view room). Yes, we saw a pagoda and the mountains, but also the construction site right below our windows. Workes started their day at around 7 a.m., which was clearly heard in our room. In addition, there's some soft music constantly playing in the corridor. Definitely not for those who are sensitive to extra sounds.

The stay was very nice!
Very comfy bed with great duna and linen. The shower was awesome! And the room is beautiful. The breakfast room/reception is nice to relax at and there is also a living room when you enter the building were you can relax as well.
Try to get a room on a higher floor and you get some mountain views.
The owners are lovely and the husband is a somilier and gave us a glass of wine for free when we ordered dinner. You really need to try their food! It was really nice and so was the breakfast. We had dinner twice when we were there, try the sizzling beef and mushrooms.
The staff is really nice and helpful especially the owners brother that helped us a lot with everything! We will for sure stay here again when we visit Dengfeng. We did some really long hikes around Dengfeng and it is really worth it.

GGuest UserReputedly, it's the only five-star hotel in the area. The service and ambiance were both fantastic. We were given a complimentary room upgrade, and the balcony offered a superb view. Breakfast was also exceptional, featuring a live Guzheng performance. Our butler proactively connected with us on WeChat, offering excellent recommendations for dining and attractions. The 'Shuixi' (water banquet) restaurant they suggested was a unanimous hit with our group.

GGaia.CThe hotel is very clean and elegant, our room was spacious, well decorated and equipped. The bed was very big and comfortable. Healthy breakfast served in the room at preferred time.
The staff is friendly and polite, we even tried the spa service and it was very pleasant.
Close to all the main attractions, it’s a good deal for its price.

GGuest UserThe hotel is a short drive from the Shaolin Temple. There are many places to eat nearby. Parking is very convenient. The room was a little damp, but otherwise it was quite clean. There is also a small refrigerator for cold drinks.

Uun_guillouVery familial guesthouse as close as it can be from Shaolin Monastery. The owners cook good food and can drive you everywhere for a price. The wife is a guide, so she's very resourceful about what to see and do in the area. The husband's brother is a Shaolin monk so you can speak about kung-fu with him. We had a little misunderstanding at the beginning as I had booked a room with a mountain view and the one prepared had no window to the outside but I was able to change rooms. With their help I was able to hike everywher on the beautiful mountains around as I was less interested in kung-fu than the scenery.

GGuest UserVery friendly and helpful staff. One person spoke some English which made things a little easier for me. It's a quick taxi ride to Songshan. It's not really in a location to walk to places so I think it's best if you have your own car. The taxi driver and 'other' drivers do like to overcharge tourists. Getting off at the bus station and being harassed by drivers was unpleasant and gave Dengfeng a bad feeling. There is no train so unless you have a car, you'll also have this unpleasant experience. Dengfeng is quite nice just the welcome is unfortunate. The hotel staff were wonderful, and the room was spacious. I loved the little table by the window, very pleasant. The restaurant across from the parking lot has tasty food and very reasonable priced.

MM289432****It's quite close to Sanhuangzhai by taxi. There is a large parking lot in front of the hotel. The rooms are relatively new and the sound insulation is good. Since the sound insulation of the previous hotel was not very good, I switched to this hotel and had a good sleep. The ladies at the front desk are also very enthusiastic. A small problem was that there was no hot water in the shower that night. It was a little warmer than normal temperature. I don’t know what happened, but it was acceptable and it was not cold. I guess it was an isolated problem.
