GGuest UserThe hotel is good overall, the parking is convenient, the room is large, the service is very good, the front desk brother sent breakfast for free, the room TV has a problem immediately called someone to deal with, and upgraded the room, the room is large, the bathroom is dry and wet, the air conditioning is sufficient, and the rainy day feels warm instantly. A few kilometers away from the city center, driving over is very cost-effective.

GgxyypThe hotel service was excellent, promptly addressing any issues or requests. I particularly loved the pillow; whether it was my exhaustion or just a super comfy pillow, I fell asleep instantly! At checkout, I even asked the front desk staff if I could buy one to take home, but I had another stop on my trip so I didn't end up getting it. During my stay, I also asked for extra bottles of water multiple times, and they generously provided them quickly – thumbs up!
Late Night Congee: It was very thoughtful that they offered late-night congee. I had a big dinner already, so I didn't go, but it was a very nice touch.

The location is superb, very close to the place where I work, there are many restaurants and convenience stores around, travel and life are very convenient. GGuest UserLet’s talk about the good aspects first: 1. The environment is good, it is close to the mountains. When we went there, it had just passed after a heavy rain, and the mist lingering in the mountains was very beautiful. 2. The hotel hardware is good, the room decoration and layout, and the accommodation comfort are quite good.
Things that I think are bad: 1. Maybe this hotel is mainly for business reception, so there are many people coming for meetings. The hotel may be ”too busy” for people like me who are purely tourist accommodations. Friends who travel by car may get some discounts on the price/performance ratio. (Except Sheniu, mainly because I don’t like noisy people around the accommodation)
2. Eating is the biggest problem for me. The hotel reminder sheet clearly stated that 3 restaurants are open until after 8 pm, and desserts are even after 10 pm. However, when I called the hotel front desk at 7:40, I was told that the restaurant closed at 8 pm. When I rushed down to find something to eat, I found that the restaurant was dark and it had obviously closed early, which was disappointing. (The hotel provides meal delivery service and charges 15% of the order fee)
For a 5-star hotel, the hardware is okay, but the software is really unsatisfactory.
I hope this review can provide a reference for friends who want to travel and stay.

JJunjun625I was dreaming of a refreshing dip in the water park after a hot spring bath on the train, but I guess I was too naive! 😂 The water park was closed! It only opens from June to the end of September! I could only soak in the hot tub in my room ♨️. The toilet was so big it ripped the disposable toilet seat cover. 😂 You can call the front desk for a second disinfection of the tub, but honestly, it probably doesn't even need it; it's definitely cleaner than a public swimming pool. Soaking in it was super comfy as the temperature dropped. 🥰 Although the hotel is a bit remote, getting a taxi was quite convenient. Overall, it was pretty good, except for them messing with my pajamas! 😡 I even hung up the 'do not disturb' sign, thinking that would be enough. But when I came back, the bed was made, and my pajamas were just tossed aside. As a germaphobe, I was fuming! 😵💫🔪🔫 Even if the sheets weren't perfectly clean, they were definitely cleaner than the sofa next to it, which probably has a million germs! 😡 I put my hand cream on the nightstand, which I hadn't even wiped with alcohol! 😡 Was I just missing one small detail?! I guess I was too naive. 😡 Breakfast was decent, with hot dishes changing daily. What kind of watermelon was that? The non-seasonal fruit was so incredibly red! 🤨 How old was that broccoli? 🫢😜 The Chinese restaurant was actually pretty good; the fried rice was 58 and a huge plate, enough for two people. There's a Qianyuan Temple near the hotel, which is the only Taoist temple for women in Jiangsu, a must-visit for ladies! 😘 Getting a taxi to Maoshan Mountain is also easy. There's a calico cat nursing kittens at the entrance, so pitiful. 🥹 I'll definitely come back when the water park and indoor pool open, but they better not mess with my pajamas again!!! 🔪🔪🔪

GGuest UserI will only talk about the most practical things: the room is very big, the bed is very big, three people can sleep below, and two people can sleep above. The private bath is also very convenient, the free KTV is also very good, the room is very big, and the songs are very new. In addition to breakfast, there are only two adults, and it costs 108 yuan for those over 1.4 meters tall. If you have big and small children, please remind yourself to bring some things to pack. The breakfast is very rich. There are fireworks and light shows in the scenic area opposite at night.

GGlenysMGreenTree Inn, Jurong (Jiangsu Province) is an oldie but a goody! I stayed there for 5 nights in late August/early September (2025). At first glance I was a bit dubious, but it turned out to be a really great place to stay. I felt very safe there and in the neighbourhood (day and night) and would stay there again.
Excellent customer service ..… the Reception and cleaning staff were all really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
The first room I was allocated smelt of cigarette smoke (no thank you!), but I was immediately moved into a nicer smelling room, which was absolutely spotless, quite large, and had a nice new smart tv, air con, an opening window with a flyscreen and security bars (essential for a ground floor room), nice solid furniture, pure white linen (impressively imprinted with “GreenTree Inn”) and a clean, comfy doona and pillows. A standard hard’ish Chinese bed, but I find them quite comfy.
The old carpet runner along the length of the long ground floor hallway (where my room was) is a relic from way back when, but it was clean and well maintained, as was the rest of the hotel that I could see.
The shower head needed fixing, but that’s an annoyingly common problem in pretty much every budget ＞ mid range hotel I’ve ever stayed in, in China.
The hotel is only about 20 metres from Jurong Chongming Subway Station. Local bus stop almost at the front door (& across the road). The entrance to the old cobbled road (no cars allowed) & all its little shops is across the road at the lights, and a large pharmacy at the entrance (near the “archway”). Electric scooters galore to hire (via the AliPay or WeChat apps) outside the subway. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance once you get past the trades shops (plumbing supplies etc).
My only gripe about GreenTree Inn Jurong (& this is a gripe I have for many hotels etc throughout China) is that smoking is allowed on the premises. I think it’s the worst it’s been since 2002 when I first started travelling to China. It’s awful walking into foyers and lifts that reek of cigarette smoke, and copping wafts of the smoke along hallways from smokers in their rooms (& ashtrays at lift entrances), and horrible arriving tired after a long flight and long trek from airports etc, only to discover you then have to request a room change to escape the smoke, and start all over again. No matter how accommodating the staff are, I could easily do without that hassle and the horrible smell.
In my opinion, hotels etc in China need to up their game where that’s concerned, and follow the lead of the many countries which have banned cigarette smoking in all public buildings (including hotels), all public indoor and outdoor spaces, anywhere near children and shopping centres, on and near public transport etc etc etc.
