Great
BBianli777The room was clean and the service was good. The building is only four or five stories high and is arranged in a square shape. There is an outdoor swimming pool in the middle patio. It is a bit noisy and not very useful for business trips. The transportation is relatively convenient, but there are no shopping places nearby. The attached picture shows the surrounding scenery.

MMiss J Ashley4/5 – A Peaceful, Homely Boutique Stay in Accra with Gorgeous Green Vibes I stayed at Hetch Tech House from 17–19 November and absolutely loved the relaxing, boutique, home-style atmosphere. It’s not a hotel—it's a charming B&B–hostel hybrid—and that uniqueness is exactly what makes it special. Location I used taxis or drove everywhere, so the location was perfect for my needs and never a barrier to getting around Accra. The team also sends excellent directions and full contact details before your stay, so arriving is stress-free. Arrival & Welcome I was greeted warmly by the staff, given two bottles of water, and welcomed straight into the serene vibe of the property. They have night security, who are friendly and reassuring without being intrusive. Rooms & Comfort My double room with shared bathroom was spotless, comfortable, and cool thanks to both air conditioning and an overhead fan (which I actually preferred most of the time). The bed was extremely comfortable, and I even held a couple of work meetings from my room without interruption. The shared kitchenette just outside my room was handy, especially for travellers who like to prep a quick snack as long as you tidy up after yourself. The House, Gardens & Atmosphere This place has soul. The gardens are lush, peaceful, and full of greenery, and the rooftop offers a quiet place to sit, relax, or reflect. It genuinely feels like you’re staying in someone’s home—in the best possible way—and the staff strike the ideal balance between friendliness and giving you space. They also have a sweet resident dog named Jolly, who adds a lovely, homely touch. There’s a woman nearby who runs a small fruit stall selling everything from pineapples and papayas to coconuts and tiger nuts—perfect for a fresh, local snack. Food There’s an on-site kitchen that serves meals such as whole wheat pizzas, whole wheat burgers, homemade pasta, pan-fried chicken thighs, and whole fresh fish. Meals can be ordered daily up to 8:30pm. I didn’t eat lunch or dinner here because Accra has an incredible food scene and I was out most evenings exploring the city’s restaurants. But if I’d been feeling lazy, I would happily have eaten at the property. Breakfast, however, I did have—and enjoyed. It’s simple and wholesome: fresh fruit (some from their garden), homemade bits, bread, yogurt, spreads, and your choice of tea or filter coffee. A lovely self-service start to the day. Service, Communication & Safety The communication is excellent. They message clear, friendly instructions via WhatsApp, offer recommendations on where to go and what to do, and provide all the essential details you need to feel fully prepared for your stay. You can request laundry service, and visitor policy is straightforward—you simply share ID details for any guests, and then you’re free to sit with them in the gardens or common areas. Who This Place Is For If you’re expecting: a reception desk hotel-style service a resort-like atmosphere …this is not that. But if you love: boutique, homey stays a traveller-friendly, community feel peaceful gardens a flexible, self-service environment attentive but relaxed staff …this place feels like a perfect fit. Final Thoughts This was a lovely end to my trip to Accra. It felt peaceful, comfortable, green, safe, and genuinely welcoming. For the price, service, atmosphere, and overall comfort, I would definitely stay here again. A very solid 4 out of 5.

NNazarethbuxBeautiful environment and especially great vibe at the pool and restaurant area. In the evenings they play some music and it’s a lovely place to relax and enjoy if you don’t feel like going out. You can have a drink and they even have shisha if you like. The waitress Catherine at breakfast time was absolutely lovely! Warm and helpful and friendly, we really missed her when she wasn’t around on the weekend. The one thing I didn’t like about our stay was that some of the front desk staff seemed to have a bit of an attitude towards us because we had extended multiple times and chose to do so through trip as it’s cheaper than the USD rates that the hotel charges directly. They said that what we paid through trip was too little however, we didn’t make those rates so I found that a bit rude. The whole hotel operates on USD rates so for value added services like laundry or transportation it can be very overpriced.

GGilBrightI got to the accommodation and they told me they had to register me into room completely different from the Signature but close by the property and that the next day, they’d check me into my original room. Looking at how tired I was, I agreed. At this new place, it took almost 2hours to get the room ready. I still kept my cool. Next day came and they came up with another excuse as to why they couldn’t check me into my original booking. Terrible service it was. Poor communication

GGuest UserThe price is very expensive compared to the services and level of the hotel. The hotel is very small and there are no outdoor spaces for walking or a garden. There is no bidet in the bathroom next to the seat.

MMiss J Ashley3/5 – A Time Capsule Stay in the Heart of Osu I stayed at Paintsiwa Wangara Apartments from Wednesday 12 November to Monday 17 November, right in the lively Osu area of Accra—close to great food spots, Republic Bar, street markets, and everything you’d want if you’re exploring the city for the first time. The location alone earns major points. The Vibe: Early-2000s Nostalgia Trip The apartments feel like they were built in the early 2000s… and then politely left exactly as they were. If you’ve ever wondered what hotel living felt like in the late 90s/early 2000s, wonder no longer—this place is a living museum. But honestly? I didn’t mind it. It has charm, just not the modern kind. Privacy Level: Maximum I didn’t see a single other guest my entire stay. Not one. So if you want absolute peace, quiet, and zero human interaction, this is your sanctuary. The staff and security are genuinely lovely—but they also leave you completely alone unless you ask for something, which I personally appreciated. The Apartment Itself Spacious with a kitchen, dining area, living space, and balcony. Very DIY. Think: “you can relax here, but also… good luck.” The facilities are dated, visibly worn, and at times “under construction,” particularly in the corridors. The kitchen feels more suited for long-term stays, and the bathroom definitely remembers the early 2000s fondly. The TV is modern, the A/C works, and once the water pressure fixed itself after Night 1, showers were fine. A Note on Safety… of the Appliances The electric stovetop had some questionable wiring—I got a little tingly current running through me when I touched it. Not in a romantic way. More in an “oh, that’s electricity” way. Breakfast: A Highlight Breakfast was a delight—delivered to my door every morning between 8:00 and 8:45am. Good portions, a mix of European-style options, fruit, and drinks. I genuinely felt special receiving it every morning. (Just note: no breakfast on weekends, but the price is reasonable enough that it’s not a dealbreaker.) Wi-Fi & Reception Wi-Fi was initially a challenge from my room in the annex, but once I asked the staff for the correct password, it worked fine. Reception is chilled and helpful—day or night. Housekeeping only happens if you request it. Otherwise, you’re left in peace. Security Strict about logging visitors, which I appreciate. It feels like a safe place, and the guards are friendly and professional. The Overall Experience Is it perfect? No. Does it need investment? Yes. Does the wiring need prayer? Also yes. Should the owner consider a renovation? Absolutely. But despite all that, I liked staying here. It gave me: privacy, space, peace - I cant say quiet because you can hear the planes going overhead from the airport. but i got used to them. sufficient security, lovely staff, and an excellent location. I loved my time in Accra, and this apartment gave me a calm home base between adventures. Just don’t expect luxury or modern hotel standards—this is a 3-star apartment complex that does exactly what a 3-star place should do. If you’re self-sufficient, easygoing, and looking for space and quiet, this is a solid choice. If you want polished finishes, daily housekeeping, and flawless facilities—you’ll need to look elsewhere.
