SSeat 2AThis is an intimate 5-room establishment situated amidst the alleys of the Old Town, hence cars cannot drop passengers at the doorstep. Easy enough to catch a shuttle bus for EUR 8 from the airport to the bus station at the port, from which a Makarun staff will meet you and assist you with your luggage to the hotel, a 10-minute walk away.
Breakfast is a la carte, as is to be expected for such a small establishment, comprising 3 courses - pastry/toast, eggs of your choice with cold cuts, and a dessert, complemented by tea coffee and/or juice. Food was more than adequate in terms of quantity and quality.
My room was comfortable enough, though 2 issues were noticeable:
* Instead of a flat cotton bed sheet, there was a fitted sheet made of what seemed like jersey, and looked more like a mattress protector.This was pilled and coarse, in contrast to the far smoother cotton quilt cover. When I brought this to the attention of the staff they explained that this is standard for the hotel. Whilst it did not affect the quality of my sleep, the coarseness of the sheet wasn't entirely pleasant
* In the bathroom, the shower was mounted at waist height, hence one either had to hold the shower in one hand, or, if there was a need to use both hands to wash, then one would have to crouch under the shower while it was in its holder. Not particularly convenient.
Overall a comfortable stay in a convenient location, enhanced by the friendly and solicitous Ivan and Mario.

XXXXThe host is very friendly and welcoming, will introduce delicious restaurants nearby and tour groups around, even if I live in the highest three-story room, I will help me with my luggage. The accommodation is very, very close to the attractions, really located in the city center, basically can be said to be those attractions downstairs. However, it will be a bit noisy, but as long as the window is closed, the problem is not big. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee are provided. You can use the kettle in the room to brew directly. There is also a refrigerator for drinks to be placed inside. The bathroom is also very spacious, with towels, hand sanitizer, hair dryer and more available. The accommodation also offers breakfast. It is a two-minute restaurant nearby. Three meals are available for breakfast. Orange juice and coffee are also available. In summary, in addition to going up to the third floor, it can basically be said to be perfect.

FFrancisI really enjoy staying here. The location is perfect for me. As a big beach person, the hotel is close to Bacvice Beach, it’s like a 8-minute walk. And it’s like 13-minute walk to Diocletian's Palace and the pier for my boat trip. The owner also recommended some good restaurants for us to explore and asked us constantly if we need suggestions to do in Split. They are really helpful!! The room is also really clean and I love the fact that many towels are provided in the room. Also, when I had told the owner we would check out at 10am the day before check out, my friend suddenly had a diarrhea and puked in the morning, the owner was so nice that allowed us to check out at 11am instead!

DDebbyWe stayed there for only 1 night but we regretted it, we should have stayed longer! Very lovely staff and room! The breakfast was just amazing and location is inside old town, very convenient! Room was historical and the old walls, old ceiling were marking the room more stunning and comfortable. Staff members were so nice and friendly, they did their job to give us as many recommendations as they could.
We strongly recommend this hotel!

LLC678Good location in the palace area, but it could be very confused because the hotel has different annex which is couple minutes walk apart. And it could be difficult to find the location of the annex, for the one I stay in named Villa Donbric couldn’t be find in Google map. Besides, since we have couple of large luggages, we look for hotel with elevator but the annex I stayed didn’t facilitated one. (I am not sure the other annex has one or not) The room is smaller than I expected, it’s a bit messy when we open up two luggage together. Other than that, it’s a cozy place to stay with helpful staff. The breakfast is served and good, with different options of eggs. I suggest extra attention is better when booking the hotel about the location and concern with luggages. Or I will suggest booking their optional pick up service.

AAirborn63The hotel is conveniently located on the 3rd floor of an old central building right in the middle of Split. About 30 minutes from airport but do note taxi can only drop you of nearby. Cost with Uber about €30 there is also bus.
The rooms are clean, large and the service waste great. Lovely bed. The room has kettle and fridge which is helpful. Short walk from the harbour and sights which was nice in evening before sleep. Bed comfortable. Overall high standard feeling.
Breakfast and meals can be had in surrounding area, do not lot of places wanted cash only which I found annoying and the costs of food and drink were much higher than expected. That is nothing to do with the hotel but worth mentioning as increased have been steep after introducing the Euro two years ago.

GGuest UserIt is a good option for you if you drive since the hotel is located 15 minutes from Split old town. It is a fair distance to drive to the centre. The hotel is new and clean with a modern interior design of the room which makes it pleasant to stay. The well design of the hotel room makes it feel spacious and comfortable.
Breakfast is relatively simple with not much choice but that does not bother us since Split has many great restaurants out there waiting for us.
Overall, I am satisfied with this stay and would recommend this hotel since it is clean and beautiful.

GGuest UserConcierge service and housekeeping were excellent. The manager was exemplary in every way and she made sure guests were always well attended. The breakfasts were a bit behind compared to other departments with some elements such as homemade smoothies and excellent yogurt and kefir absolutely terrific. The hot dishes were not as perfect but were serviceable.

AAudreyOwWe were on our honeymoon & the staff at Skaline decorated the room with ribbons and sweet messages! Really cute! All the staff were super friendly and sweet too. We found the bed too soft & our backs were aching & the staff helped to flip the mattress. We had a few early mornings & could not make it to breakfast and they gave us pre packed sandwiches fruits and a drink the night before! Room was clean, staff were great, a truly enjoyable stay!
