Bianca made our stay even better! She offered advice on our itinerary, umbrellas before we left for our excursion seeing that it might rain, all without being asked! What a gem! The other staff in restaurants also kept checking in on us to see if we need anything more. Very impressive service from everyone. Hotel is clean, rooms are huge and overlooks the beautiful island of Capri. It is just that it is a long drive in to reach it. Few amenities around.

The hotel provides round-trip transportation to downtown, which is inconvenient if you're going on your own. If you're concerned about privacy, I wouldn't recommend booking the annex building, as you'll be next door to other villagers and could hear their conversations. The main building is a much better experience. Everything else is fine.

Excellence has pure state ... service, breakfast, quality of the places all. I recommend a very peaceful place without children

Our stay at this hotel in Sorrento was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking scenery — panoramic views of the sea, the coastline, and sunsets that looked like they came straight out of a painting. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, with elegant decor and excellent facilities. The swimming pool was one of our favorite spots — peaceful, clean, and surrounded by stunning views that made every swim feel like a dream. But what truly made our stay special was the service, especially from our wonderful hotel staff, Giuseppe. He was warm, professional, and incredibly thoughtful. He took care of all our transportation needs, making getting around completely stress-free. Every morning, he made us the most delicious cappuccino — honestly, the best we’ve ever had — and served it with such care that it became a daily highlight. He also helped us arrange a seamless day trip to Capri, taking care of every detail and ensuring we had an unforgettable experience. Thanks to Giuseppe and the entire team, our time in Sorrento was truly magical. We can’t wait to come back!

The hotel is located away from city centre and bus is the only connecting public transport. Bus schedule in Sorrento is kinda confusing. Therefore, it is more recommended for those who drive to choose this hotel. Yet, staffs were super friendly and helpful. With the hand offered by staff, we were able to catch the last bus from Napoli to Rome. Huge thanks for that!! Apart from that, the room was spacious and cozy. Except from the remoted location, we highly recommend visitors to choose Melrose Relais.

A village-style hotel on top of a mountain. Traveling to and from the hotel to the city is inconvenient, there is no Uber or taxi service, and reservations made through the hotel are expensive. The restaurant in the hotel is absolutely delicious, especially the pizza and pasta. The pool is large and deep, the atmosphere is great, and the kids were delighted.

Good view from the window (there is a lemon orchard right in front of the rooms). The breakfast was good and Maria was helping us with everything we needed. Nice location just 19 minutes by car to Sorrento.
