Ito Hotels with Breakfast

The hotel boasts a unique hot spring elevator, an old-fashioned yet well-maintained lift, and both outdoor and indoor hot springs. Our flight was delayed that afternoon, causing us to miss dinner. We contacted the hotel via email, and the manager kindly held dinner for us. Upon arrival, after a brief introduction to the hotel, we were served a warm Japanese meal. Traditional Japanese onsen hotels typically offer a 'one night, two meals' plan, with breakfast and dinner delivered to your room by a lovely elderly lady. The room we booked was quite spacious, featuring a separate tea-drinking area. The hotel is situated on higher ground, offering views of the tangerine trees in the backyard and the distant sea from our window. It's about a 15-minute walk from the JR station, which is a little far, but the town itself isn't very large. You can even hear the sound of the trains from the hotel.

If this is old school hospitality, I'm so glad to have experienced it. The room was spotless, even the bathroom, despite having yellowed a little from age (it was built ~20 years ago, according to newspaper clippings about the owners on the 2nd floor!). The hosts are very welcoming and their hospitality is excellent - for the first time I had face soap, makeup remover and an actual scrunchie provided for me in a guest house. Even the TV can be turned for you to watch from the bed or beside it at the table. There are private onsen facilities on site for free (just gotta pay the legal tax required). The interior looks like old fashioned British houses but with tons of dolphin themed decorations (that the owners like presumably :)) The house is a 20min walk from Futo Station, but the path is very walkable and it also means the place is very serene and peaceful at night. I'd love to go back there.

I had a fantastic experience at Forest Glaming! The staff, including Mr. Terada & the cool dude with long hair, were not only incredibly friendly but also made an effort to communicate with me in English and encouraged my attempts at speaking Japanese. Despite missing the shuttle bus, Mr. Terada kindly came to pick me up. The resort is a serene haven, offering tranquility and the cleanest toilets I've ever encountered. ✨Being tented near the shower and toilet facilities was an added bonus. 😮💨The food was outstanding, especially the aged domestic beef 🍖 BBQ. The only disappointment was not having the chance to share the wonderful dinner with the staff. I totally recommend Forest Glaming to anyone seeking a rejuvenating escape with exceptional service and facilities. The staff's warmth and willingness to engage in different languages truly enhanced my stay. Fantabulous!!! 😍🥰

Amazing ryokan! Located conveniently close to the railway station it blends into local woods with its many small villas and paths. The room was nice and had our own balcony looking out to the woods. There was no lack of amenities, futons were comfortable, AC worked just fine, and the wi-fi connection was probably the best we've encountered in Japan. We've tried 3 of 9 private baths and all of them were quite pleasant. However, the Kuromoji bath's door to the outdoor onsen didn't close all the way so it was chilly in the indoor bath, and the Hina bath had just 1 shower (we kind of expected at least 2). The food was excellent! We enjoyed all the courses of dinner and breakfast, but I must say the quantity of dinner dishes was just enough to be 80% full. If you are accustomed to Japanese portions, you might find this dinner too light. All in all, we enjoyed our stay in Hanafubuki ryokan and would love to come again!

Had an unforgettable day in Izu. The hotel is near Izu-Kogen Station. I arrived late at night, and after contacting the owner, he immediately came to pick me up at the station, which was incredibly touching! The next morning, he continued to drive guests to Mount Omuro. The owner even used a translation app to communicate and explain various things. What a lovely Japanese uncle!

Izu Kogen Country Hotel | Exceeded expectations in every way, highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I was extremely satisfied with my stay this time, full marks! 🍣 Dinner Buffet & Breakfast • The dinner featured a sashimi bar with incredibly fresh ingredients, refilled endlessly. The hot food and BBQ were also excellent. • Breakfast was equally diverse, offering both Japanese and Western options, all delicious. I was very satisfied with the meals on both days. ♨️ Public Bath • The hot spring bath area is very spacious, with both indoor and outdoor baths, making for a very relaxing soak. • A nice touch: The hair dryers are Refa! They have strong airflow and don't damage hair, which women will love. 🏨 Room • I stayed alone in a large suite-style room. It was spacious with a separate living area, and excellent natural light, far exceeding the average Japanese standard. 🛎 Service & Facilities • The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, and free coffee is available in the lobby. • There's a large swimming pool and an on-demand massage/SPA area. • They are also very pet-friendly, creating a warm atmosphere.

It must be mentioned that this B&B is very close to the Jogasaki Coast, and it is very convenient to travel. You can just walk there, and the scenery along the way is also very beautiful. When we went back, it rained heavily and the tram stopped running. The owner took the initiative to contact us to help us find a way, and finally sent us to our destination. Highly Recommended!! Key Point: The hotel includes a one-day admission ticket, allowing access to three attractions within one day: (Cactus Zoo, Izu Granpal Park, and the New York Lighting Museum Garden). We recommend checking in after visiting Mt. Omuro, enjoying a one-night stay with two meals at the onsen (hot spring), and then visiting the above attractions the next day! Perfect for families and couples! We recommend driving or walking to the hotel from Mt. Omuro/the zoo. Environment and Location: The hotel is located next to Mt. Omuro, about a 10-minute walk from the Mt. Omuro Ropeway; it also has a private entrance to the Cactus Zoo (accessible via a gate next to the hotel). The hotel features a terrace and platform with stunning surrounding views, perfect for taking photos, overlooking the sunrise, night views, and Mt. Omuro. Rooms and Facilities: Spacious rooms with a semi-Western, semi-Japanese design. Meals: The hotel offers a Japanese set breakfast and a kaiseki dinner.

Beautiful onsen — our favorite stay in Japan with my family! The traditional breakfast was delicious with a very large selection of dishes. The rooms are gorgeous, quiet, and spacious — and everything was exceptionally clean. The cleaning crew truly does an amazing job. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel warmly welcomed. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station, and having a washer and dryer available for guests was a big plus. Highly recommended — we would love to stay here again!

You can indeed see the sea. If you're driving, arrive early; the roads are difficult and hilly. Not recommended for those with extra-large suitcases, as there are long stairs leading up to the hotel. The hotel's interior is beautiful and cozy, perfect for a party. The owner is very friendly and can be reached on WeChat. The hotel offers quick service, ice cream, and other snacks. There's a comic strip on the second floor.
