Amazing
MMietaiyouWe stayed for two nights at this hotel in northern Okinawa, near the Churaumi Aquarium. Even though it's far from the city and there's no shopping mall, it was a really pleasant vacation.
The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the aquarium, so you can sleep in and head over there. There's also a Lawson convenience store nearby for any essentials. Just cross the road from the hotel and you're on a beautiful beach with fine white sand, perfect for kids.
The rooms are very spacious, offering plenty of room to move around, and they face the ocean, so you can watch the sunset.
The hotel has a public bath. When we booked, the two rooms had different prices. One included two bath tickets, while the other required a purchase of 1700 JPY per person. Luckily, we had two 1000 JPY vouchers to offset the cost.
The mini-bar in the room is free, with two cans of beer and two cans of fruit wine soda. Each person can also get a free beer or tea at the lobby every day, so you can fully enjoy Okinawan beer. The breakfast at the restaurant is also quite good, with plenty of Okinawan specialties.
My only regret is the hotel restaurant's capacity. When we checked in around 3 PM, we tried to book dinner for that evening, but all three hotel restaurants were already full. The earliest availability was after 8 PM, and they couldn't reach Chinese mobile numbers, so we had to wait for a message in our room. If we hadn't found another restaurant outside the hotel that could seat us, my child would have been hungry for several hours. Being in a hotel already far from the city, I felt quite helpless at that moment.
AAnonymous UserFirst impression of the lobby is grand yet intimate. They escort you to a table and bring a welcome drink while checking you in. The rooms are large with a wonderful view. The rooms look just like the photos. Breakfasts are great, they make Eggs Benedict every morning. One day there was mango juice. Green smoothie every day. You can also get soba noodles cooked. You can even exchange breakfast for lunch at the hotel next door, and use their larger pools there. The room description mentioned a sea view, but on the third floor, a triangular roof slightly obstructs it, though the view is still incredible.
YYan ReevesWe had spent 4 nights at the hotel during the Golden Week which might have influenced the perception of service, but not dramatically.
Among the advantages of the hotel are: nice spacious rooms (ours had a stunning sea view); generally good location with beautiful nature and access to the beaches where you could actually swim (not a given on the island) - at least until the tide goes too low; reasonably good food across the restaurants with rather friendly prices; stylish bar with quality drinks.
Among the disadvantages are: very non-Japanese service (generally not very helpful, with low penetration of English among the staff) and lack of attention to detail that could make the resort actually very nice - again, not very typical case for Japan.
A few pieces of advice to the management:
1. Bring the option of in-room breakfast. If a guest is sick and can’t go down, it’s impossible to order in-room breakfast on the day, while rooms service opens at 11:30. Same frustration goes to the coffee stall downstairs that doesn’t serve coffee during earlier breakfast hours
2. Consider equipping rooms with coffee machines and contemporary electronics - low costs to take, yet massive disadvantage for the 5* status for not having them
3. Pay more attention to room service: we spent 48h without shampoo and shower gel. Our glasses were washed occasionally. New bottles of drinking water arrived only once.
4. Fix the beach! The amenities there look like a poor community beach area, especially those shameful umbrellas. You have reasonable amenities at the pool - why not spreading them to the beach areas to make them feel more like a resort rather than public beaches that no one gave any care?
5. Gym and SPA amenities could use a bit of refreshment. I won’t mention SPA service itself which might be a result of poor luck with the specific technician
6. Empty mini bar equals lost revenue. You could easily cover the modifications above through adding more options for people to enjoy drinks at their balconies.
What makes staying in Japan truly special - genuine care and attention to every detail - was completely missing over our stay at this Hyatt. In fact, we consistently had that feeling “this could actually be really nice” and then something would go terribly wrong with the awkward service. The hotel that looks like 5* on pictures leaves a 3* aftertaste at max. I am only writing this because I felt it didn’t have to - those are easy aspects to fix.
DdondonkiWonderful place, service is excellent, people were friendly, view from room of the beach was amazing... We had breakfast everyday and also the kaiseki dinner which were excellent... I'll definitely return. Thanks for making the stay so enjoyable!
JJingziwuliuqiThe hotel grounds are huge and very beautiful. I booked a twin room, but the empty space wasn't very large. I had to push the two beds together to make enough room to open my suitcase. However, the room facilities were very comprehensive: a large balcony with two chairs and a table. The bathroom was spacious, with both a bathtub and a shower. The hotel shop sells diapers, so if you're traveling with a baby, you don't need to go out to buy them. I particularly want to praise the sea area; the water was shallow in the afternoon, and I swam around within the safe zone, encountering six different types of fish, which was fantastic. The hotel has many steps, but also plenty of ramps and elevators, making it suitable for strollers. Beach loungers are paid for by the full day or afternoon; there's no option for just the morning. The laundry room was a letdown, though. While there were many washing machines and dryers, they were quite old, and about a quarter of them were out of order.

CChilunThe hotel is located on Kouri Island, with a very nice view of Kouri Bridge.
The room is large and equipped with cooking utensils. It can accommodate many people.
The cleaning time was very random and did not follow the schedule, and the hotel staff came into the room to clean without prior notice. I was a bit dissatisfied.
Since I had notified the hotel through Trip.com before departure that I would arrive very late, but when I arrived, I found that the front desk was closed, and there was no prior notice from Trip.com or the hotel about the key collection arrangements, which made my group very panic. Fortunately, I found Trip.com customer service to find the password. Thank you to the customer service and compensation for helping me handle it that day.

Very Good
GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was welcoming, professional, and always ready to help. The room was clean, comfortable, and very quiet, which made the stay especially relaxing. The location was also very convenient, close to restaurants, shops, and public transportation. I truly appreciated the excellent service and attention to detail throughout my stay. I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and would be happy to stay here again in the future.
HHsinTangThe hotel's swimming pool has indoor and outdoor sections, as well as a waterslide for babies. The indoor pool has a bed against the wall, making it safe and comfortable for young children to sleep. Importantly, there are also educational and fun activities nearby. I highly recommend bringing children to participate in these activities. Parking is available, but sometimes a shuttle service is required to get the car. I really loved the lobby's décor. Also, being able to continue playing in the pool after check-out is fantastic.
AALENA_The room was clean and spacious. Though it was a bit chill inside as we stayed during a cold period with the temprature outside ~14-16°. The interior looks a bit old but everything is in very good condition.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Contrary to what was in hotel description, there is no heating of the swimming pool.
There are not many things around, so it was really quite.
Breakfasts were delicious with some variety of things, we enjoyed pancakes. There wasn't much fruit just grapefruit and lichi.
What was not very convenient is that there are no quilt covers, but an extra sheet and blanket separately.
GGuest UserThe facility itself is a bit old, but the sheets and bedding were clean and nice. The ocean view from the room and the quiet surroundings make it a great place to relax. The large public bath is a plus for families. I did find the high step into the unit bathroom in the room a bit dangerous.
