Obihiro Hotels with Breakfast

Newer hotel. Friendly service at front desk. Enjoyed the complimentary bar with mixed nuts, raisins n a spread of flavors for mixing with carbonated water or alcohol. It’s a pity it closes at 9pm. Parking is at building next to it. Fees are charged to the room with in and out privileges through front desk validation. My only issue is with the narrow access to the twin bed next to the window. We had a room with twin beds. Onsen is small as expected but modern decor. Felt safe that women onsen requires a special passcode to enter.

I stayed on the 4th floor, and I wonder if there is a problem with the ventilation system, but there is a persistent fishy smell in the room, typical of grilled seafood. Even after opening the window to ventilate and spraying fabric freshener, the smell persists—is this room the problem? It definitely seems like an issue that there is a smell even though it is a smoking room. It doesn't seem to be coming from the bathroom, nor is it coming in from the outside; was that room the problem...? The large public bath on the 3rd floor is very convenient to use because towels are provided. It is nice that you can get a can of beer if you don't clean your room.

I stayed for three days starting April 28, 2026. It is in a very good location in Obihiro. It is close to Obihiro Station and not far from the city center. Despite this, you can stay at a very reasonable price. Additionally, Comfort Hotel provides free breakfast to all guests. I didn't have high expectations, but they offer a more substantial breakfast than I thought. I think the service is excellent for this price. However, as it is a business hotel, the room sizes are very small. Also, there are no designated smoking areas inside or outside. If you want to smoke, you have to go to the smoking area at Obihiro Station. Since it is a business hotel, I wish they would create a separate smoking area, even if it is in a secluded location. This could be an advantage for non-smokers, though. Although it is a paid service, it is equipped with a convenient above-ground parking lot, making it convenient to use by car.

I stayed overnight in Obihiro on my way back from a trip to Shihoro. There's a moor hot spring, and I warmed up in it twice. The breakfast buffet had a great view and was delicious! I'm glad I stayed here. The hotel arranged for my suitcase to be sent by courier, and I took the morning bus back to New Chitose Airport. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel.

The surrounding hotels were very expensive and I was wondering what to do, but then I found one at the last minute for a reasonable price so I made a reservation. The interior is typical of a Toyoko Inn, but the building is new and clean. The rice balls at breakfast were freshly made and very delicious.

The bath is a moor hot spring, and although the tub isn't very large, it left my skin feeling smooth and silky, which was great. I had the impression that there weren't many amenities. The breakfast didn't seem to be very filling. It was a bit difficult to find a parking space, and the next morning, when I left the hotel and headed to the parking lot, the road in front of the hotel entrance had poor drainage, so I couldn't avoid the rainwater and my shoes got soaked, which was quite a challenge.

Hotel Nupka is a lovely hotel situated right in the center of town. The rooms are spacious compared to others in Japan, and they are very clean and comfortable. One notable feature is that it is a bike-friendly hotel; there are hangers available for you to store your bike. I will definitely come back next time if I'm on a bike trip!

It was just from the station, but it was quiet because it was just one street. The second floor is a shared space from the afternoon and you can have coffee. The staff 々 was kind and short but comfortable.

It was very clean and comfortable. It's a bit of a walk from the station, so it might be a bit difficult to get to if you have large luggage. The amenities were adequate, and although the facilities were a bit old, I had no complaints. Breakfast was free and very delicious.
