Great
MMonta ChadaWe had a wonderful stay. All the staff provided excellent service with a true service-minded attitude. The location is great—peaceful and relaxing, perfect for a holiday getaway.
We highly recommend this hotel as a great choice for your vacation. Special thanks to Khun Kan, Khun Mind, the breakfast room team, and all the front desk staff for their warm hospitality.
GGuest UserThe hotel boasts a very modern decor, and the beach is absolutely stunning. The room layout is simple, stylish, and comfortable. The complimentary snacks were also delicious. There's even a Jacuzzi and a small pool, which looked incredibly inviting. My only minor complaint was that the breakfast wasn't very diverse. I wish there were more options, especially since the breakfast didn't change much over my two-day stay. When traveling in Thailand, I'd love to try more local dishes. On the positive side, all the hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming.
EEntitiThe service efficiency was not great; we waited in the lobby for ages without even a welcome drink.
The hotel is quite small, and the beach is tiny. Everything is within walking distance. If you've stayed at InterContinental Phu Quoc or Regent, you might be disappointed—it's not in the same league.
Families with kids might find it boring, as there's only one kids' club.
The room facilities were quite satisfactory, though using fake Byredo products was a bit annoying.
The spa center, in partnership with Penhaligon's (assuming 'Penouri' is a typo), was excellent. A really good experience.
The gym facilities were also decent.
Breakfast was exceptional—semi-buffet with à la carte options. The stir-fried minced pork with basil (Pad Krapow) was particularly recommended and made fresh to order.
However, the hotel's restaurant prices are exorbitant, three times higher than outside, which is a bit outrageous.
GGuest UserOverall, the room, ambiance, and service were excellent. However, my visit unfortunately coincided with an After You campaign. Personally, I felt the tranquility was lost. The beach area, with its beach chairs, was filled with a mix of hotel guests and cafe visitors, which really diminished the privacy for those staying at the hotel. It's a bit of a shame.
GGuest UserThis hotel is really great. The reality exceeded our expectations. The value for money is superb. The staff are polite and attentive, always ready to explain everything and help out.
The rooms are clean, and the grounds are well-maintained. They constantly treat for insects.
Breakfasts are good, with fresh fruit always available. The only downside is the location. There's nothing nearby. It's a 30-minute walk along the beach to the nearest cafes. Walking by road isn't an option. However, this is easily solved with a taxi, which is cheap there, using apps like Bolt or Grab.
FFeixingbaolei28I don't understand why, despite having stayed here before (two years ago), they put me in a first-floor room with no pool view. Since I was with my child, we had mosquitoes and geckos coming in. The facilities at Renaissance Pattaya are old now. The private beach is quite nice though. It's too far from Terminal 21, which isn't very convenient. They have a shuttle at 12 PM and 4 PM, but no return service, which doesn't really meet the standards of a five-star hotel.
MMikky AnanThe staffs are friendly and helpful. The room is spacious and fully equipped. Feel like staying at home. The bed is very comfy with big bath tub. Only one thing that should be improve is the wardrobe, it is too small and cannot hang long dress.
The location in Google map took us to the back entrance which now is closed. Recommend that you'd rather pin the location at the front gate entrance.
Love to visit again soon.
GGuest UserThis hotel might well have been a nice place when it was built last century but now it is in a desperate need of renovation, refurbishment or at least a good clean.
The location is interesting, quite close to the beach and a small lively area with restaurants and massage shops, but unfortunately is located in a dark side street with lots of ferial soi dogs, and it seems that a few of these soi dogs actual live in the hotel. So if you don't like dogs better to give this place a miss.
The general atmosphere is of a nursing home for poor foreigners, i am 63 years old at the time of writing this review and I personally felt like a teenager compared to the other hotel guests.
The room had quite a nasty smell when I first entered, but fortunately dissipated after leaving the balcony door open for a few days. Bedroom furniture was probably from when the hotel was built, it is really showing it's age and compared with other hotels in the same area and price range is really not good enough.
One evening around midnight, 2 men burst into my room. I honestly thought I was going to get robbed, but it turned out to be one of the hotel owners and a drunk German guest. The following day I enquired at the reception what happened, it seemed that the drunk German had told the hotel owner that my room was his. How can you open someone's room without first checking that details of the room's occupant first. I found this to be quite shocking, nothing like this has ever happened to me before.
Next up, this hotel has an outrageous policy about blood stains on the bed clothes, I have been fined 1000 Baht / 30 USD for a thumb print sized blood stain. And 1700 Baht for a small stain on the bed clothes and a very small one on the pillow case. If I had permanently damaged the bed clothes I would be happy to cover the replacement costs, but these costs to remove small blood stains on old bed sheets is disgraceful. I hate to think what would happen if a lady has a problem during her menstual period.
This hotel also has a ridiculous amount of rules and penalties with sign posted all over the hotel.
They say this is a resort, but I feel this is far from the truth. It just a hotel with a pool and a restaurant and a bar. No more services. Not a resort, just the last resort
The only reason I would stay at this hotel again is if all the hotels in a 100 km radius are full and then I would be very wary of coming here again.
PParveen kr guptaGood property, but just away from Pattya main town, spacious room and bathroom, nice pool, breakfast in ocean bistro is best we had in our this Thailand trip, the staff Mr Ken is very helpful, h e help us in lot of ways, overall good experience
GGuest UserSeamless check in and out process. The room is comfortable enough for 2 nights. The staff is very helpful. The room is big but the bed I found a little hard. The washroom is huge.
