Moffat Beach Motel Caloundra
"We only stayed one night, but overall we were satisfied. The landlady was incredibly kind and very helpful. She told us to just ask if we needed anything. Our room was clean and tidy, and various appliances, such as a kettle, were provided. Each unit had its own parking space. The Wi-Fi signal was reasonably good and the speed was adequate. What bothered us were the thin walls, which made everything very noisy, and the street noise was clearly audible in the room! Furthermore, the beds were simply too soft; a restful sleep was impossible!"
Rumba Beach Resort
"Overall not bad"
Nightcap at Golden Beach Tavern
"Really nice and relaxing definitely would stay again."
North Shore Oceanside Kawana
"The location and surrounding environment are very good, very quiet, and the university campus is just a few steps away. There is a microwave in the room but no induction cooker or coffee machine, so you can't cook. . . ."
Oaks Sunshine Coast Oasis Resort
"Gave me a room right next to ground floor elevator, terrible experience"
Pelican Waters Resort
"The platform clearly showed that cancellation was allowed if the hotel agreed, but after I called him, it became impossible to cancel."
Motel Sunshine Coast
"Clean room, bathroom and kitchen clean and tidy, even a section for general/shared use of products. Staff is very friendly."
Ramada Resort by Wyndham Golden Beach
"There is a hydromassage pool in the room, which is comfortable and convenient. The hotel is on the beach with a beautiful view."
BreakFree Grand Pacific Caloundra
"Booked in April, 2 weeks after booking renovations started, was not advised of renovations until 3 days prior to stay, was advised work was only Monday to Friday, they started work at 6am Saturday morning. No access to pool or BBQ facilities, no offer of compensation or anything."

La Promenade
"My friend and I had booked our apartment a few months ago for our May holiday. We chose the top floor so we could enjoy the roof, the spa and the view. This meant paying extra but we did not mind as this was our two-year girl’s get-together. The staff were lovely, the apartment clean and pleasant. The view of Bribie and the strait was beautiful. However, the next morning a terrible racket started overhead without any warning. When we complained, we were told that the workmen were fixing a leak in the roof and the noise would continue til late afternoon. This happened for the three full days we were there. We were driven out of our apartment by the noise before 9.00 am and it did not cease until after 3.30 pm. We could not have an afternoon nap or spa or relax on the balcony. By our last day my friend started packing up intending to leave early. In the end she agreed to stay but we left more exhausted and stressed than when we arrived. Also, the staff were having to put up with abuse from other occupants who were also upset by the noise. My friend made numerous phone calls and emails to complain to management but there was a decided lack of response until she received an email weeks later explaining about the leak in the roof and future renovations to apartments and offering 15% off our next stay. I really don’t think we will be taking them up on the offer if this noise is what we can expect"
Centrepoint Apartments Caloundra
"We booked unit 70 which was 3 bedroom but there was only 3 of us but the lounges looked comfortable which my husband needs so that's why we booked it. As always love the views but the unit definitely needs to be upgraded and it was very drab, not much decor, I know we pay for the location and views but would be nice to have a more modern unit. Also pool says it's heated and salt water, definitely didnt feel like it was.But sure we will be back."
Merrima Court Holidays
"We are staying across the road at a fabulous apartment with a lovely ocean view. Unfortunately merrima apartments yesterday installed a glaring screen on the side of their building right in front of us. It is impossible to enjoy the ocean view with the glare of their advertisements in the corner of my eye"
Cerulean Apartments
"We stayed in Unit 12 great views, close to all shops. All in walking distance. The unit had all we needed for our 7 night stay. Close (across the road) to the beach for a quiet beach experience or a safe dip as the weather warms up. Lifeguards on duty over the weekends. "
ULTIQA Shearwater Resort
"Unfortunately this is not a very good “hotel” We paid $350 per night for 8 nights. The staff are unhelpful and condescending. You have you check yourself in and upload your own documents on your phone (ID and credit card). The rooms are not very clean. Lots of mould and stains and general dust and dirt. The room IS NOT serviced. So no cleaning no matter how long you stay. If you ask for another bath towel you are made to feel bad. I had to ask for dishwashing liquid. I was told they can give me 2 sachets and after that I have to buy my own. No one ever bought me any. When I rang again the lady said just come and get them next time you leave the hotel. There is only 1 person on reception and they do the house keeping too. So when we arrived he had been called to a room. We had to wait downstairs til he had finished his job till we could check in. If you ring the front office 9 times out of 10 no one answers because no one it at the deck. Offices hours are 10am to 4pm. If you have any problem outside of these hours, too bad. The pool is very dirty. Lots of bugs and toilet paper floating in it. Beach towels are $10 each to use. Our room was located next to a rubbish Bing shoot and recycling bin. We complained for 8 days straight that we were getting continuously woken by the noice from the bins. There responce was “we cannot control when people throw their rubbish awake” I was shocked at their responce. On the last day we were offered to move rooms (after 7 days of complaints. We can move if WE pay a $150 cleaning fee! Oh and I forgot to mention there are glass tiles in the lounge area the lead to the next rooms balcony. So we can see them on their balcony and the can look into our lounge room! Same goes for the other side. We could look into their lounge room and the could look into our balcony."

Tranquil Shores
"Stayed at Tranquil Shores for 4 nites, really enjoyed our stay, the location is great, walking distance to beach, shops, restaurants & bars. Our accommodation was clean, spacious and enjoyed sitting on the front verandah enjoying the sunsets. The management was very helpful showing us the top places to visit in the area including Australia zoo and the emundi markets. Rhys is very helpful and really went out of his way to make our stay a special one. Highly recommend Tranquil Shores, will definately be back soon."

Belaire Place Motel Apartments
Moorings Beach Resort
Rolling Surf Resort Sunshine Coast
"The location and ease of use were good for the price. I plan to use it again if I travel after this."
The Norfolks on Moffat Beach
"Airbnb at hotel prices. Apartment complex mixed with permanent residents. A/C in the bedrooms only. No insect screens on any of the doors or windows. Internet was constantly dropping out until it didn’t work at all. Called reception & was instructed to call the internet service provider myself and log a job, earliest appointment day before I checking out. View was obstructed with large & noisy earthmoving equipment whom were completely reconstructing the rock wall ocean front directly in front of the hotel/airbnb. Dated building with corrosion evident everywhere. Cheap furnishings and appliances, fridge door would not shut properly and a dishwasher was was faulty. Would not consider again."
