"Except the location, everything else is terrible. * No signage of the property, no front desk, no proper billing * Dirty beach view room * No amenity except a small fridge and barely functional AC * Broken and dirty washroom without basic toiletries and without towels * Dirty curtains of the room as well as washroom * Main door of the room doesn't close properly unless you do a wrestling with it. Gaps in room and wahsroom walls which makes the room noisy and makes AC irrelevant * Don't go by the property photo. Outside is painted well, but inside its terrible * Charged exorbitantly to near 4-5 star price, which is not even worth for FREE * Perfect place to screw up you dream vacation on beachfront"

"Great location just a few minute walk to the beach front. Cute little bungalow style accommodation which was basic but clean, great shower and excellent aircon with a fan. So we were comfortable at night time and slept well. For the price we paid I thought it was great and would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was included and although basic hits the spot. The staff looked after us really well and were so helpful and friendly. A great experience!"

Tropical Bay

"On arrival we were greeted warmly and shown to our private courtyard and cottage which last in the middle of a lane way. We went in at around 6pm however despite the previous occupants leaving at 3am nothing had been done. The pictures we were sent were nothing like what we stayed in. The white linen didn’t exist, tv was not there, cooking appliance and basic kitchen stuff not there and we had to fight to get everything. The manager/ owner was apologetic however didn’t think pictures were important. The air con kept switching off and the fellow who looked at it said the voltage was a problem. I was trying to work from there but couldn’t as it was too hot. So went to whatever cafe had wifi. We didn’t let them clean the place as there was no safe in the room and so we kept them out. It was very troublesome trying to get things and finally in the last 4 days an engineer changed a compressor in the air con unit and it worked, well for some time. The problem I had with this place was the fact that it did not reflect the pictures shown and so we didn’t get things that should have been standard such as towels on arrival and bed sheet that fit the bed. Although the mattress was comfy lack of pillow case protectors left pillows mouldy and the kitchen cupboard were unoperational so you didn’t use them. We were here a month so in all it was ok but lots of downsides. Walking down the law through a so called migrant camp was not troublesome but you need to know these things."

Rockit Cafe & Stay Palolem

"Stayed here in February for 3 weeks, place is lovely and clean, all the staff are friendly and helpful. They not only do breakfast but food all day, should really eat here the food is better than some of the restaurants. Only 3 minute walk to the beach. There is a fridge. Tea and coffee making facilities. Air con and water supplied evey day free of charge. Safe in the room. The manager, Clem is the most helpful person, we lost all 6 of our cases, his chased it up for us, 2 days later 5 of the cases turned up but he didn't give up until the 6th case was found. We couldn't have managed this without his help. We had other issues, NOTHING to do with the hotel but Clem was there to help us. Definitely recommend staying here and will definitely stay again. Would like to thank Clem and everyone of his staff for their smiles, friendliness and the job they do so well 😊"

"We had booked for 6 adults but hotel gave 2 rooms with 2 adult bed capacity. After a lot of discussion hotel staffer mentioned didn't pay enough money to hotel for 5 adult stay. We felt cheated but no other way we adjusted in 2, 3 bed. We had company of cockroachs in toilet which we didn't expect."

Loved loved loved our stay there never been anywhere else in the world where there has been such an amazing staff. The room was spotless and huge. Wish we had stayed longer but hopefully one day we will be back. "
