"The constant assistance and exceptional, professional staff was over the top and beyond. It was First Class in an old victorian style hotel. Having access to The Congress Hall was lovely.  The pool time there was exceptional ...got it all in before the tornado! We loved the convenience to everything, and the shuttle service was a nice touch, when needed. One thing I would recommend is the tree to be trimmed down a bit, so when driving up to The Virginia Hotel you can see the sign, with no problem. Well done. We highly recommend The Virginia Hotel!"

"Very nice staff and employees. Service was good, just not exceptional. The facility was old, but that was to be expected. Bathrooms could use a bit more space for toiletries and hair supplies. The bathroom was not accommodating for two individuals to ready themselves at the same time. We didn’t eat there much, however what we did have was very good."

"Very nice, very clean updated room. We were in room 301- so no view or balcony- but you could step outside and walk around and look at the water (which is across the street)-BUT people do walk by the front of your room, in front of the sliding glass doors, so if you don't want that, book room with a view- they have balconies and you cannot walk in front of them.Check in was a breeze and Diane was very efficient and informative. We only stayed 1 night, but chose not to go to the pool because we came on a Sunday, thinking it would be quiet and chill. The bar is right next to the heated pool and there was a band, so it was not quiet- nothing wrong with it- just not what we were looking for. Beach was gorgeous. They have a jitney that takes you to town and towels available that you can also take to the beach. Keurig, microwave and mini-fridge in each room as well as a safe and robes. Well-lit at night and felt safe walking to my room solo. AC worked wonderfully - I should have brought an extra blanket. Water pressure was a little weak but doable. Only negatives- beds were pretty soft and the pillows were terrible- bring your own."
