"The 24-hour reception is appreciated; nowadays many hotels and hostels give you codes and check-in is limited to specific hours that don't allow for flexibility. There was a noise in the room; I wasn't sure if it was from the old refrigerator they installed or from outside. The cleaning staff could be less noisy and should know which rooms are being checked out that day so they don't have to clean them until noon."

"As for service, the hotel apartment was quite basic. Cleaning was only done once a week. The front desk was quite far from the room, at least an 800-meter walk. So, we paid 20 euros for a service person to bring our luggage to the room. Otherwise, we'd have to carry so much luggage that it would have been difficult. The high rating is for the location. It's a great location, close to the beach and convenient. We also had a takeaway stolen. The delivery person took a photo, and then it disappeared. It could have been stolen by the delivery person, or someone else. The washing machine was frequently used during peak hours. There was no dryer, which is inconvenient, especially for a longer stay. Cooking was quite convenient, and the air conditioning was adequate. Besides the lack of service, the room was a bit dirty, with hair on the sheets from the previous owner. We had to buy new blankets and sheets."

"If you rent a car and plan to travel around, there is no better place than this area. There is plenty of parking available, including a private, enclosed space with an automatic gate. Castelldefels is a quiet neighbourhood, just a five-minute walk from the sea and beach, perfect for a stroll. The apartment itself was well maintained, tidy, and clean, with a few nice amenities such as a microwave, kettle, and coffee machine. It also featured a spacious balcony with a pleasant view of the pool area at the back. The host was incredibly helpful and friendly, completing the check-in process in just five minutes. I definitely recommend this place and look forward to coming back!"

"I am in Castelldefels for three days following three days in Barcelona. I highly recommend this town! We are staying at the Marfina Apartaments and it is amazing. We have a sea facing one bedroom apartment with kitchen that is very comfortable. They provide beach lounge chairs and umbrellas, beach towels, bicycles, paddleboards, and kayaks. A delicious breakfast is served for 6.50E which includes juice, coffee, croissants, toast with home made tomato sauce served on a lovely patio. There is also a room for those that want to enjoy the beach on the check out day. Check out room provides shower, toilet, towels, hair dryer, shampoo and soap. Perfect! The apartment is right on the beach with a boardwalk running for miles in each direction for walking, running, biking. The town is filled with great restaurants all within 2-10 minutes walking from Marfina. Wonderful town for a beach getaway. We paid 45E for the taxi here from Hotel Gaudi. Castelldefels is quite close to airport for easy departure. Paula is the hotel manager and she excels with communication prior to stay and helpful information during the stay. She is highly organized, efficient, and very pleasant! I highly recommend this apartment!"

"It was a horrible experience. As soon as we walked in the smell hit us. We weren't sure what it was, but I would compare it to a strong chemicals mixed with mould. Then we saw it. Mould everywhere, walls dirty and with holes. Window blinds mechanism was covered in dirty, sticky! We've tried to take a shower, but there was no hot water, so we've told the receptionist who tried to switch the boiler on for about 10min. She managed, but we were not convinced it'll stay on. Toilet seat was moving. Kitchen was disgusting, fridge rusty. When we mentioned the mould to the receptionist, she said she will send the cleaning team in the morning. Like you can clean the mould of?!?!??.... that was also a reason they refused to refund us, despite the place not being suitable to stay in, especially for my pregnant friend. Thankfully we found much better accommodation the same night in the same price. Shame on you Velor Apartments! "
