Hotiday Apartment Cefalù

"The apartment is brand new and modern. The only problem is that the address on the reservation DOESN'T EXIST. You have to go to a nearby hotel to check in, and they take you to the apartment, which is 500 meters away. They should send directions to the reception. We had a terrible time trying to find a solution, which only came up when we called their main office in Milan. Otherwise, it's fantastic."

Skyview Cefalù

"Stay here even if just for the view! Staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool is very relaxing and nice and quiet… and has a bar. You will need a car to get up and down the steep hill to the hotel (takes about 5 mins from the town), There is plenty of parking available. If you don’t have a car - the hotel has a very efficient taxi partner they work with who we used in the evenings!"

"Overall, the location is very good, right on the beach. The toilet is very big and there is a balcony. However, there are activities in the playground at the back until very late at night, and they basically don’t stop until the early morning. How about dining here in the hotel? Do you want to go 1 Kilometers of unexpected places!"

Horizon Suites

"The hotel has a great location right by the sea, making it very convenient to get to both the city center and the beach. Best of all, there's free parking. The hotel also has a popular, privately owned restaurant serving traditional local cuisine."

Le Calette Bay

"Gorgeous hotel, the location is breathtaking overlooking a beautiful dramatic bay. The hotel is boutique style with lots of individual touches, doesn't feel corporate and very much a family if luxurious concern. The rooms have outside seating, crisp high grade cotton bedding and divine Ortigia products. Drinks service by pool has not been the best today but at breakfast it was excellent. The breakfast itself is full of choice with real premium and quality food. The tables are tablecloths and waiter service for drinks and egg orders. The reception was very welcoming with lovely arrival drinks, car and cases whisked away. The location is easy walk to bustling but dramatic Cefalu. Our room, 201, backs onto the railway line but it so quiet I didn't even realise for two days! All in all this is a 5 star experience."

Cefalù Sea Palace

"We stayed at Cefalu for 11 nights in June, half board basis. The room was lovely & comfortable, sea view & lovely view of Cefalu old town. Third floor, room 324. We enjoyed breakfast and evening meal, especially the view from the restaurant. Breakfast catered for most, with coffee made for you by a Barista which was very nice. Would have been nice to have fresh orange as there only seemed to be juices that were not fresh. Cereals & fruit, along with various other products were available. Evening meal was 4 course and we really enjoyed the food. The pool area was very nice, you can also use the private beach if you prefer sunbathing on a beach. Only criticism for us was that the drinks are very expensive and this deterred us from buying drinks at the hotel. I think if the prices were reduced more people would stay for a drink rather than going into Cefalu. We were under the impression you could not take your own drinks into the hotel which we thought was a bit petty as we do enjoy a drink on the balcony. Totally understand not taking food, however it should be made more clear as we found out after that you can take drinks to your room from outside. Overall though we really enjoyed the holiday and would go back"

"We enjoyed a superb 5 night stay at the Insulae during our Sicily vacation. Wow!! What a beautiful place. SO relaxing! Just perfect in every way & exceeded our already high expectations. Just the downtime we were looking for. We booked a private pool room - stunning!! Room very comfortable. Outside terrace amazing for chilling. The resort grounds are immaculate with gorgeous seating areas to enjoy with a coffee or aperitif. Pool is fab. Very comfortable sun loungers & pool bar is a lovely plus!! The Insulae team are fantastic. Very professional, friendly & helpful. Complimentary bus into Cefalu is a nice touch. Excellent buffet breakfast selection you can enjoy alfresco. The resort has the outstanding Zayt restaurant on site (see my separate review). In a word Zayt is phenomenal!! Highly recommend Insulae & can’t wait to go back sometime. Thank you."

"The hotel is in a great location. It's only a few minutes drive from the center, and the hotel's exclusive beach is also very beautiful! The facilities are average, and the breakfast is poor."

Brezza Marina Guesthouse

"Beautiful place in front of the sea with a postcard view.... Breakfast 5 days always the same without asking our tastes.... Poor cleaning 5 days same sheets twice change of towels beautiful veranda but kept dirty and unkempt non-drinkable water from the taps where they also washed the dishes from breakfast without a dishwasher.... In the evening it was all dark to go back to the room we had to turn on the phone's torch...."
