"The hotel is in a beautiful position to enjoy the view of the sea and Cefalù; the reception needs a radical renovation because it is very dated, the room they assigned us was very small, but the thing we didn't understand was that, despite the extreme proximity to the sea (just go down about sixty steps and you end up on the seafront) , there is no easy descent to the beach without risking breaking a leg on the rocks. Pleasant note is the attached bar-pastry-rotisserie with many specialties to be enjoyed both indoors and outdoors. Finally, the restaurant: menu too repetitive and unimaginative, however, if you go there, contact Salvatore, he deserves 5 stars for kindness, friendliness and affability, who will try in every way to satisfy your needs"

"I booked this place because it was close to the train station, but it wasn't. It involved climbing a hill, and when I finally arrived, they said they'd gone to the wrong place. It had the same name, but mine was on a much higher hill. After climbing a lot of stairs, their navigation was inaccurate, and we had to walk a long way and ask for directions before finally finding it. The female staff were very indifferent. The room was like a large suite with many small rooms, like a small hotel. At night, we could clearly hear the neighbors coming home late and talking loudly in the hallway. At 6 AM, people were opening doors and moving around, making a lot of noise. This location requires a lot of stamina to climb; it's far from the city center. The second floor is another suite with a kitchen. The only highlight was the terrace with a sea view, but it was covered with a transparent plastic curtain in the morning, probably to prevent rain. However, it wasn't raining that morning, which greatly affected the sea view. Breakfast was just cake and sandwiches—very simple. The forks weren't even washed properly; there was food residue on them. I will never go back to this place again."

There was a lift to access the rooms, which was helpful with lots of baggage. I would absolutely return to Horizon Suites and highly recommend visiting."

"Idyllic setting above the town, v chilled vibe, all staff were very friendly, helpful and polite, we loved the pool area, which did good drinks and bar food at lunchtime, everything is clean and well maintained , bedroom had a lovely balcony - perfect for a glass of wine, and complementary products were a nice touch. Good coffee at breakfast and nice to eat under the olive trees, onsite restaurant was good and a great option if you don’t want to venture into town. We loved the tuk tuk into town and back great fun"

"After arriving at this property, we discovered the room was extremely hot and we turned the air conditioning on to cool it down. We left for town and upon returning, we were shocked and dismayed to discover that someone had come into our room and turned off the air conditioning. The room was unbearably hot, and the air conditioning unit could not cool down the room fast enough for us to get a good night of rest. We checked out the next morning, frustrated and exhausted. Furthermore, there were no facial tissues in the room, no toiletries in the shower, the furniture was uncomfortable, and there was no full-sized refrigerator/freezer as was misrepresented in the property amenities, and the internet was slow. The room was in a loft with very low-sloping ceilings which made it easy to bump your head. The floor was uneven when getting out of bed which made for a dangerous situation. Finally, the property description should say that the road getting to the property disappears into a very bumpy gravel road, and adds to the confusion on getting to the property."

"Skyview is run by a beautiful couple, Tatjana and her husband Vincenzo and her dad. It is family owned and they make you feel just like family. We were a family of 12, which included My son, who has a tree nut allergy and has severe autism. They went above and beyond to help him and me feel comfortable and accommodate us in any way possible. My son has a limited menu and Tatjana went out to buy him pancakes for breakfast, which is his favorite. I also came down with a cold and Tatjana's father brought my husband to the pharmacy to get me cold medications. I celebrated my birthday at the hotel and Tatjana ordered me a birthday cake. They call you by your first names and make you feel just like you are part of their own family. Nothing is off limits to help your stay be perfect. The breakfast is delicious, the pool side is amazing and the views of Cefalu from the top of the mountain is breathtaking. I would highly recommend this hotel and I would definitely return."

"Lovely hotel with a really relaxed atmosphere. Our room was 2nd floor overlooking the pool. Very comfortable and lovely view but the bathroom is not 5 star. Strange arrangement with the shower and toilet. Notwithstanding that the bathroom amenities were a lovely Sicilian brand. Location is 25min walk into town, not for those who struggle with walking but we enjoyed it. The hotel never felt busy and there’s lots of different places to relax and enjoy the weather with great facilities. Staff are super friendly too."

"From the moment we arrived in Le Calette we were treated like royalty and this is why we return every year. The location is stunning, sitting at the pool overlooking the harbour and Aeolian Islands. The rooms are very comfortable and spotessley clean, with many lovely extras thrown in. The staff in the hotel are so nice and professional. The food is absolutely outstanding, from the wonderful extensive hot and cold buffet, plus chef cooked dishes. Lunch, dinner and the bar are also exceptional... grazie mille ."

"We enjoyed a superb 5 night stay at the Insulae during our Sicily vacation. Wow!! What a beautiful place. SO relaxing! Just perfect in every way & exceeded our already high expectations. Just the downtime we were looking for. We booked a private pool room - stunning!! Room very comfortable. Outside terrace amazing for chilling. The resort grounds are immaculate with gorgeous seating areas to enjoy with a coffee or aperitif. Pool is fab. Very comfortable sun loungers & pool bar is a lovely plus!! The Insulae team are fantastic. Very professional, friendly & helpful. Complimentary bus into Cefalu is a nice touch. Excellent buffet breakfast selection you can enjoy alfresco. The resort has the outstanding Zayt restaurant on site (see my separate review). In a word Zayt is phenomenal!! Highly recommend Insulae & can’t wait to go back sometime. Thank you."

The room we had was spacious a balcony above the street but we slept well. Breakfast is plentiful and has anything and everything that you'd want. All in all, a pleasant stay."
