"I stayed 4 nights. It is basically a backpackers converted to motel . There was a communal kitchen and shared bathroom. The rooms were small but had all the things needed. T.v and Wifi although wifi didn't work.....but is seemed to be the case throughout Cooktown. The garden was leafy providing lots of shade with cozy seating books throughout. Rules were simple security pretty good. Its a sweet place if you're mood needing luxurious facilities. Wirth the cheaper rate paid"

Cooktown Holiday Park

"Accomodation was a cabin. We found the cabin clean and comfortable. The only problem was the stove took a long time to heat and when using both hot plates could not work them separately. Price was reasonable and the park owner was able to give guidance on what attractions were best to see."

Mungumby Lodge - Cooktown

"Fantastic experience, ideal if you love to live in nature. Isabella is very nice and very competent, the cabins are essential but very clean and clean, equipped with WiFi for the right and necessary use, useless to abuse, better enjoy every noise of the forest. There is a small and pleasant pool and a barbecue area. Breakfast (including) is more than satisfactory. With a slightly challenging walk of about 1 km you can reach a beautiful hidden cascade and you can bath in the natural bathroom at the foot of the cascade itself. The quiet and relaxed atmosphere of this place is fully regenerated by every stress or anxiety of everyday life. It is one of the best places I have ever seen, and if I can, I will certainly return to it. I strongly advise you, in a perfect tour of Queensland you absolutely need to go through the Mungumby."

"This an elegant Retreat, managed by Tony and Sue. Rooms are nice and clean. Toilet is not in the room, but next door of the room. The garden is very pretty and tropical with a nice pool located with in. Breakfast is excellent with a barrister coffee."
