"I agree with the gentleman who wrote a four-star review. The manager, Tim, is an excellent gentleman who is openminded, kind, and strict. Any violent displays of temper, any suggestion of criminality -- he will evict immediately. He hires without any racial or cultural bias and the cleaning and maintenance team are excellent. It provides excellent value for the money and would be a good choice for grad students or undergraduates seeking a safe place to stay between hunts for apartments or group houses. Some of the clientele are disrespectful and a few are unsavoury, but this is not an "upscale" hotel -- it just provides good value for the money for those who need a place to stay and are new to town or between jobs. I didn´t have a problem with the hall carpets being well worn; there was no stink in the hall; the dated coil stove top is perfectly functional, the fridge functioned well, and the wonderful Amana air conditioning provides excellent climate control. I note the housekeeping staff check the air filters weekly and there are pest control visits monthly (no bedbugs or other vermin) Parking is ample. It is just right for those visiting relatives in care homes in the area, extended stays for business, or between flatshares. Small criticisms: the corporate policy of not providing toilet paper is unfortunate as are the prices for the laundry. The vending machines invite those foolish enough to squander money on overpriced -- way overpriced -- snacks and beverages -- waste. Just remember this is not a luxury or upscale place, just good, clean, and practical."
