"Upon our arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by Federica, immediately very kind and helpful, not having booked one of the 4 parking spaces in front of the hotel in advance, she immediately took care, together with the owner Massimo, to reserve a place for us from the following morning. The room, with a balcony, overlooks the valley, giving you a wonderful view. The hotel is a little dated, but well-ordered and clean, all the staff, do their best to ensure that your stay is comfortable and pampered. Yes, we felt at home and there is no doubt that in the event of a return to the area, it will be our point of reference. The little things are those that together with the rest, remain in your mind: the first morning my wife asked if there was a kiwi... from the following morning they brought two to the table. Customer care is their priority. There is no doubt! "The property is terribly neglected. The room has peeling walls, a faint smell of mold, and dusty furnishings. A half-curtain hanging from the window and the bedspread looked like they hadn't seen soap in a while. The bathroom is in terrible condition, with stains on the walls and rusty pipes. Everything looks old, poorly maintained, and dusty. The pool is beautiful, with almost dilapidated umbrellas, mismatched loungers, and stained pillows. The staff—very friendly—is minimal. I don't think anyone is on site at night, when the entrance gate is closed. We reported a few issues, and the excuse given was that the property is old and in the countryside; there's nothing more they can do. The breakfast was passable. The stay was depressing. I'll leave just one photo; I'm embarrassed to post the ones of the bathroom."

"Although this hotel is nowhere near a 4* it does have amazing views. The deluxe room was very small and dark and the bathroom was disappointing with an extremely small shower. We were also below the breakfast room and were woken every morning by the scraping of chairs on the floor. Breakfast was adequate but no option for hot food. We booked this hotel based on the fact it had parking which is a plus point along with the views. Parking must be pre booked as they only have 4 spaces"

"This is beautiful property in a stunning location. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with lovely views of the Tuscan countryside. The bed was very comfortable with a nice firm mattress, shower was great and nice big towels. The pool area also took advantage of the amazing views. Staff were friendly and breakfast offered an excellent selection. We were only staying one night and hoped to eat at the restaurant, but unfortunately we were staying on a Sunday and the restaurant is closed on Sundays. Since there is nowhere else in walking distance this was really disappointing. The lady who booked us in and told us was very apologetic, but that said, we may have considered booking elsewhere had we known. Since the hotel was so lovely I have not reduced the overall rating, but I would respectfully suggest that it be made clear to guests who book for a Sunday and they are advised about the restaurant closure, in view of the remoteness of the hotel."

"We celebrated my daughter and son-in-law's wedding with a reception at Villa Baldelli in early September and it was a magical experience. The stunning house and gardens with views up to our beloved Cortona could not have provided a better setting for an outdoor reception. Francesca and Leonardo were so helpful in the planning stages and they and the rest of the staff could not have been more welcoming to family and wedding guests alike, both during our stay and on the wedding day itself. Nothing was too much trouble and the professionalism of all involved was exemplary. Yet we were made to feet like we were at home. We will be forever grateful to Villa Baldelli for one of the happiest, most memorable and beautiful experiences of our lives."

"The environment is truly wonderful, and the staff are very welcoming. The hotel is located in Cortona, over an hour's drive from several famous historic towns, and nearly two hours from Florence. This is a minor drawback, so driving is recommended. If you're not pressed for time, relaxing by the pool for a day is also a great option. Don't worry about the heat outside; in late July, it's cool enough in the shade or indoors. The hotel also performs regular insecticide treatments, so there's no need to worry about insect bites. This Italian summer was truly unforgettable."
