"Location-wise, it's literally right next door to the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre, which makes it super easy for families with kids as you don't need to rush in the morning. The cabin is clean and nicely tucked away. You do get nice visitors every now and then, which is a nice little surprise. I also highly recommend the restaurant that is situated about 2mins walk from the cabin area. Apart from the quality cuisine, the view from the lounge is without a doubt the best you can find in the area."
"We didn't notice that we needed to check in before 6pm. When we arrived at the hotel after the Cradle Mountain hike, it was just over ten minutes. At first, we thought we had found the wrong entrance to the reception (it was a regular hotel, not a B&B, so we didn't expect that we couldn't check in so early. The sun didn't set until 8pm). There were two staff members sitting at the reception counter (glass door, visible from the outside), and no matter how we knocked or gestured, they just shook their hands. There was a small iron box on the door that needed to be opened with the password given in the email, and there was a key inside. But there were several big words in my email: Unable to display the content of the email! There was no way, we called the hotel, but they didn't answer and transferred the call to voice, so we had to leave a message. Just when we were about to contact Ctrip, the people inside finally came out, opened the iron box, and gave us the key. How arrogant!!!"
"Hotel a bit overpriced. Did not like the reception, which failed to book restaurant for us and it took 15 minutes to sort everything out (in the half-empty restaurant). The house is ok, bit cold, but the fireplace helped. Saw several wallabies at the territory. There is couple of tracks, starting from the hotel. Good thing is that before 8.15am (before buses start) you can use your car to get to the lake. The breakfast was ok.
No wifi in room, which is minus. Only Telstra coverage in the room, no Otpus, so was stuck without coverage. Free wifi available at the reception only"
"Very good service, arrived late, missed the time to check in. But Rachel was very considerate to put the key and map in the envelope, the cabin was very clean and warm, and there were small animals at the door to visit. A possum leaned on the railing to welcome us and took a picture of our window to say hello. The next morning, two possums came to Wallabies looking for something to eat with us, but unfortunately the weather did not see the starry sky and the Milky Way."
"Hotel staff was really friendly and helpful. they were efficient in clearing up mess made by previous guest. Room was spacious and has good wifi connection. Spa is basically a bathtub jacuzzi in your washroom. definitely recommend"
