"Our stay at the Niriis Hotel was most enjoyable and the room clean and tidy. The cost is reasonable and location very handy to the local bus that takes you to Chania old town, and also the departure point for the tourist fun train. Fabulous sandy beaches are only a few minutes walk away. Owner George and the reception staff are helpful and go the extra mile if you need assistance or have any questions, on what to see and do. Tours can also be booked at the hotel. Would recommend staying here."

"Our second year at Camping Chania in Agios Apostolis, just to the west of the city. We have our own campervan, but we usually rent one of the cabins with an attached toilet/shower and that is what we did again this year. These are lovely clean and spacious cabins and we would thoroughly recommend them as well as the ordinary pitches for campers and mobile homes, Nikos, Pedros, Costas and (young) Nikos are all extremely helpful, as is Tania, the lovely lady who runs the shop. In addition to all this, the site cafe is a real find. The head chef Stella, produces fresh food of real quality every night at prices which are incredibly reasonable. The House white is excellent and the service provided by her lovely son Angelos is a pleasure. All-in-all a very smart operation on all fronts. Andy and Liz, Liverpool, UK"

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and truly enjoyed every moment of our vacation. We chose a room with a private pool, and it was definitely worth it. The room was newly renovated, modern, spacious, beautifully designed, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was outstanding, and every member of the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always smiling. We stayed for a week, and the all-inclusive program offered a great variety of food, drinks, and entertainment, making our stay enjoyable throughout. There was always something to choose from, and the quality of the food was excellent. One of our favorite parts was the live cooking. The freshly made crêpes were delicious, while the gyros and pizzas prepared in front of us were fantastic. And of course, we couldn’t resist the soft-serve ice cream! A big thank you to the entire team for their excellent hospitality and outstanding service. They made our stay truly special. We would definitely choose this hotel again in the future and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable all-inclusive holiday."

"A very friendly welcome. The flat is in perfect condition, well equipped and very well maintained during the stay. Very pleasant balcony with sea view. The air conditioning was perfect, which was much appreciated in very hot weather. Quiet, soundproof flat in the middle of a very quiet residential area. The sea is a 5-minute walk away with a very pleasant beach. All the shops in the main street are a 10-minute walk away (food, chemist, vet, doctor, car hire, etc.). The owner was very helpful in recommending an excellent restaurant right on the beach, and was always available to help us."

Breakfast was ok just to get a bite and start your day. I will be coming back hopefully there because it ticks my boxes for a comfortable stay."

"We really loved this hotel! The staff was so helpful and kind, and the facilities were more than satisfying! We booked the queen room- and it was perfect! Big and spacious with a practical fridge, good aircondition and a strong wifi. The location was also perfect. Located near the beach and supermarkets, and the bus to Chania old town stops right outside of the hotel! We strongly recommend this hotel if your looking for a clean and silent hotel with a helpful staff!"

"Great time spent in June 2025. The hosts are great. Thank you very much, Maria and your husband and Giorgios for the warm welcome and for ensuring our stay is relaxing and very enjoyable. Location around 15 min walk from Lidl, Synka and about 10 min from the closest sea, you are close to 3 beaches - Yannis, Iguana and Sunset beach from Agioi Apostoli, 15 min by bus to Chania center. The apartment has all you need for your vacation to be without any worries, clean room, well equipped kitchen (also a sandwich maker inside :) ), towels changed twice in a week and linen once but it was ok for us, garbage taken daily. Breakfast and access to a pool at the sister-hotel. Thank you very much again!"

"Not recommended. The location is odd, perched atop a strange little hill. Driving is extremely difficult, and parking is nearly impossible. You can only get around by car. It's located in a residential area. You can see the lighthouse in the distance, but it's the middle of nowhere where you can't see the sunrise or sunset. Staff can only be contacted via WhatsApp. It's not that it's bad, but useful information is hard to get promptly. Furthermore, booking through Ctrip made it difficult for B&B to contact me; they didn't have my correct email address, etc. If you really need a place to stay, it's better to book directly through Airbnb."

"Really?!" she exclaimed, her smile radiant. "I actually think so, too," I added. And then, on the way home and long after, every time I thought back on our vacation, I tried to understand why we answered that way. Yes, we love to travel - new experiences and new places! From primitive cottages and mountain huts to luxurious full-service hotels with panoramic sea views. Some places were boring, some were exciting, but rarely have we had a vacation which was not - in some way - memorable and joyful. So, what made this one so special? Originally, we chose this hotel because it was close to a beautiful and fascinating coastline, in a peaceful area with wonderful beaches, while still being within walking distance of the old, enchanting city of Chania, with houses and restaurants right at the waterfront and an old Venetian lighthouse overlooking the historical harbour. The hotel was reasonably priced and came with a breakfast option. It turned out to be small, cosy, simple and practical, with spacious rooms. We even had a porch view straight out to the pool. But what made it special were the people there. I have rarely met a staff more personable, friendly and helpful. Within a day, they felt more like family than staff to us. And there was something in the atmosphere of the place, so liberating, leaving you with a sense of freedom and relaxation. What was it that made it like that? I breathed deeply, letting the memories drift through my mind. And like a whisper, a word appeared in my mind: "sincerity." That is why I think we will - for the first time ever - choose to go back to a place we have already been for our next vacation. Not for the luxury of the stay, but for the beauty of Crete and the treasure of the golden hearts."

"Our group had two rooms booked: one semi-basement and one with a sea view. The sea view room offered beautiful scenery, and we spent a lot of time on the balcony enjoying it. The interior was clean and modern, with a recently renovated shower and well-lit kitchen area. The semi-basement room had a terrace partially below pool level, which was expected. However, the kitchen lacked lighting above the counters, and privacy was limited as other guests tended to look through the windows — so we kept the curtains closed most of the time. After showering, the bathroom floor often ended up wet, but otherwise, the room was clean aside from minor imperfections. It’s worth noting that the sea view room cost twice as much as the semi-basement one, reflecting the difference in comfort and view."

Only complaint would be the food which could have some improvements. Enjoyed the beach which was 10 minute walk away and went on trip to Chania old town, 5 hour boat trip and trip to Elafonisi beach which would all recommend"

"We had a Nice and relaxing stay at Stellina Village Hotel for Two weeks in the middle of July. The first week was great. Our apartment was quite new, comfortable and nice, and we also had a private pool that we enjoyed in the evenings. The food was very good with a big variety of dishes and we really enjoyed the pool area and all the areas of the hotel, except from the playroom that we were looking forward to enjoying with our 2,5 year old daughter. The playroom was very hot and had a lot of mosquitos so it was almost impossible to stay there at daytime. And it closed at 17 o clock so in the evening it was not accessible. The hotel is in general very nice and comfortable. The rooms are great and so is the sweet ladies who clean them. It is a great hotel for families who want to relax and enjoy some quiet time close to Chania. We took the bus several times to the city center and it worked great. You can buy tickets at the reception desk. The second week was not that good though. There was an electricity shut down on our 5th day at the resort and the air condition in the restaurant was damaged. I had read about shut downs from earlier reviews but I expected that this would be fixed by now since it was not a general problem in the area, but just in the hotel. The air conditioning didn’t work at the restaurant for the rest of the stay (9 days) witch made it almost impossible to eat the three meals we had payed for in the all inclusive package that we bought. We were not allowed to take food to the room, so we started skipping meals since it was unbearable to be in the restaurant especially for lunch. This ended in extra costs for us since we instead bought food in the a la carte restaurant. The hotel compensated us with a small amount (around 2% of what we payed for the last 9 days), but this did not in our eyes compensate for the amount of meals we skipped or for the damage made on the whole experience! I would like to award the employees in the buffet restaurant for the fantastic service they gave us which is the main reason that we still give the hotel such good rating! Stelios, Iro, Anna, Adonis, Maria, Mixalis and the rest of their team were working under hard conditions in up to 37 degrees, but we’re still so caring, sweet, funny, service minded and kind! We have no words to express how good an impression they made on us! We will really miss the whole team a lot and thank them for making this a very nice stay even though the conditions where not good! I really hope the hotel management take this problem seriously so that no more guests have to eat under these conditions! If this hadn’t happened we would have given the hotel our best recommendations since the first week when everything worked greatly was fantastic!"

The are so many options to take any activity or tour from this hotel, in good prices. Excellent room cleanliness, beautiful view from our room and very comfortable bed. The pool was so lovely and the breakfast and lunch was delicious! The location was perfect - convenient to travel to Chania old town (10 minutes by bus) yet peaceful enough to relax. There were also lots of shops and restaurants within a 5 minutes walk. When we needed recommendations or a quick request, the staff went above and beyond to help. In particular, Kiki, Karyna, Alexis and Thania made our trip truly special. We can’t recommend this hotel highly enough and will absolutely return. A true five-star gem! Kerry and Bobby"
