The Social Hotel

The Social Hotel

📍 304 Victoria Street, Darlinghurst
★★★ 8.2 (12 reviews)

"We came for new year and it was really quite cheap compared to other hostels at the time which were easily £50+ night and this was less. The staff are an absolute 10/10 and that was the highlight of our stay. Though, the hostel room itself was really quite dirty, the kitchen was full of dirty washing, and the bathroom was pretty bad as well. The hostel was really noisy at night too. However if you are a budget backpacker visiting Sydney and don’t mind the place being a bit dirty aslong as you get a decent bed - it’s perfect."

Kirketon Hotel Sydney

Kirketon Hotel Sydney

📍 229/231 Darlinghurst Rd, Darlinghurst
★★★★ 8.1 (130 reviews)

"Extremely dated interior and the mirrors are so weird. Nice staff but this should not qualify as 4 stars. The walls are very thin and you hear knocking sounds throughout the night. One night we had constant banging sound from the fridge and that was really disturbing."

Darlo Bar Darlinghurst

Darlo Bar Darlinghurst

📍 306 Liverpool St, Darlinghurst
★★★ 8.6 (60 reviews)

"Great location and room was super spacious. Noise stopped around 11pm and had a great sleep! Everything was very clean too."

City Budget Hotel

City Budget Hotel

📍 108a Oxford Street, Darlinghurst
★★★ 8.2 (24 reviews)

"Great location on Oxford Street with all the major sights and nightlife within easy walking distance. A stroll down to the Sydney opera house area is easily done inside 30 minutes and takes in the beautiful botanical gardens en route. Has to be a Five star recommendation on value alone however rooms are clean, well appointed and have a comfortable bed. A bit of noise from the busy streets below but doesn't keep you awake or disturb that much. Check in staff very friendly and helpful. Stairs can be a bit of a hike but this 66 year old had no problems. Would absolutely book again and wouldn't even shop around as already the best deal in town."

Medusa Hotel Sydney

Medusa Hotel Sydney

📍 267 Darlinghurst Rd, Darlinghurst
★★★★ 9.2 (106 reviews)

"It's compact and well-located, with high room utilization and good value for money. There are two issues: first, it lacks a trash can; second, the digital lock isn't secure, making me feel like someone might break in at any moment."

The Strand Hotel

The Strand Hotel

📍 99 William Street, Darlinghurst

"The room was spacious and clean! Central Location so easy to get around the city! We were a bit disappointed with the spa facilities though. Hot tub needed more water and a bit warmer!"

Kirketon Hotel Sydney ★★★★
"I only ever stay at the Kirketon when I need a hotel in Darlinghurst. Great location close to all transport. As it’s in Darlinghurst there’s plenty of food options to choose from. Rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet. I always ask for a bathtub in the bathroom as not all bathrooms have one. Staff are always very friendly and ready to help with anything."

"Whilst apartment is very spacious, it lacks ambience, definitely needs some softness placed in unit. From a women point of view it had a cold feeling to it, needs a womens touch to add some warmth to the apartment. First and foremost please give guests some tea, coffee, sugars and milk. Coukdnt believe these items aren't available. A mirror in bedroom for a women to check her clothing. Extra pillows Some pictures on walls in lounge and bedroom If we wanted to stay a week, there is nowhere to hang your clothes. Not sure if you are renovating, but bathroom need a a tidy up, especially the shower tiling. For us oldies a grab rail in shower are would have helped. Perhaps you have a disabled unit with hobless shower, maybe I should have asked when I booked. There are no maps of Sydney, no books, brochures etc you have a nice Hotel it just lacks "softness" Sue Wassell"

Medusa Hotel Sydney ★★★★
"This is a hotel that feels like both a hotel and a guesthouse. The decor is warm and cozy, with a girly vibe, but there's no elevator and the hallways are narrow, which isn't ideal for someone like me who prefers spacious and convenient accommodations. The location is quite convenient; it's within walking distance of the opera house. Fruit is delivered in the morning and evening. It's a unique hotel."
