Mercure Darlington Kings Hotel ★★★★
"Excellent location in town centre with lots of shops and bars nearby Good breakfast and friendly staff"
Rockliffe Hall Hotel Golf & Spa ★★★★★
"Good Hfkdnfj"
Blackwell Grange Hotel ★★★★
"Attended a birthday celebration. Staff went above and beyond. In addition, it is a lovely venue in beautiful location and surroundings. 30 minute walk into a lively town or a 5 minute car trip. Would highly recommend it for a romantic getaway or meet up with family/friends. Staff were amazing."
Walworth Castle Hotel, BW Signature Collection by Best Western ★★★
"In summary, one of worst hotel stays in many years. Firstly, we were accommodated in the annex; not the castle. We did not eat food at the castle, so this review is purely regarding the accommodations in the annex. Firstly room 10; electric towel radiator doesn’t work, bathroom was about 10 degrees. Room was not much warmer. It was 2 degrees outside. Also a bathroom LED light had a severe flicker. We allowed double the recommended time on the small instruction card for the towel rad to heat up. After 40 minutes I went back to reception to report the issues with the room. After an exchange regarding how to operate an electric towel rad we were offered an alternative room. Room 12 unfortunately, had the worlds smallest bathroom with no heat source. However, it was more the size of the bathroom, and for my wife, the lack of bath. I wasn’t bothered about a bath, but the size for someone over 6’ with limbs to match, would have struggled to shower in the cubicle. Smallest shower cubicle you can buy. Back to reception. Offered room 15 after another 10 minute wait at reception. On opening the door, it was obvious the window had been left wide open. This room was cold, but had a bath which my wife was after. No towel rad in this bathroom. Closed the window and after two hours had the room warm enough to take our coats off. It was then that we noticed a strange smell every time we went in the bathroom. We had closed the bathroom door to focus on heating the room. After several more hours the smell of drains in the bathroom became even more noticeable. Now in the difficulty of not being able to leave the door open to warm the bathroom because the smell was by now unbearable, but the bathroom was so cold it couldn’t be used for bathing. Fire alarm woke us at 06.43, but was quickly silenced. Unfortunately, it was long enough to wake the guests. We left the bathroom door closed all night to keep the drain smell contained. By morning, the smell was so bad it made you wretch as you opened the door. The extractor fan did nothing to quell the smell. Looked like they recently replaced the toilet. Clearly work still required in this regard. The room should not be used until the source of the smell is resolved. Leaving a window wide open in January is not a solution. Based on the above, we couldn’t wait to leave. Bathroom was unusable in the morning, so forget having a shower or bath. My wife did attempt to leave some feedback with reception staff on checking out, but clearly they’re not too bothered. We left at 08.00. Outside temperature was minus three, only moderately less than the bathroom of room 15. This was our first visit to this hotel and will be our last. We’ve stayed at many Best Western hotels over the years, but I think in future we might give them a miss based on this experience. We stay at about 12 to 14 hotels a year, so have a wide experience of good and bad service."
Bannatyne Hotel Darlington ★★★★
"Was a excellent experience"
Premier Inn Darlington Town Centre ★★★
"Motorcycle friendly hotel with indoor parking bang slap in the middle of reception and yes you read that right ,. Would never stay here again for that reason. Rest of the hotel is standard with staff on hand but use self service for a quicker check in and good bar meals are served in the pub next door showing live sports"
Darlington East (Morton Park) ★★★
"Hotel was alright like would probs stay again if a needed to not the best not the worst #staying #darlington"
Holiday Inn DARLINGTON - NORTH A1M, JCT.59 by IHG ★★★
"Great place with good hospitality. Clean rooms and a good environment. "
Travelodge Darlington ★★★
"Stayed with my son absolutely beautiful hotel. Staff are polite, lifts clean, bedrooms are clean and tidy beds comfy, and there’s a lovely restaurant approximately 10 steps away from the hotel and there’s bus stops near by into town"
