"The stay experience was mixed. The biggest highlight of the hotel is that the location is extremely convenient, the surrounding traffic is developed, it is very convenient for business travel or leisure tour. However, there are indeed some unsatisfactory places in terms of details. First of all, the sanitary condition of the guest room can be regarded as a general level, and it fails to meet the expected cleanliness standards. Some corners can be more meticulous. The facilities configuration seems a bit "embarrassed": the room is equipped with a refrigerator, which is very practical, but there is no microwave oven, it is very inconvenient to heat food; likewise, the coffee machine is available, but no coffee is provided, so this equipment has become a display, looking forward to supporting it. The most affecting sleep quality is that the noise is very obvious when the air conditioner is running, and it will interfere with rest at night. I hope the hotel can pay more attention to maintenance and equipment. In summary, if you value the location very much and are not sensitive to night noise, you can consider it here. But if you are pursuing a comfortable sleeping environment and a perfect facility experience, you may need to weigh it again."

"The hotel is located in the city center, the room is facing a church with a wide view. It coincides with snow, and it snows in the blink of an eye. There are many restaurants nearby, there is a baseball field, and the tickets are 💗 FW. The room is spacious, the decoration is more American, and the front desk sister is warm and thoughtful! Arrived after 23 pm, the doorbell was needed, but the girls responded in a timely manner, and there were also enthusiastic guests who took the initiative to help us swipe the card to enter."

"I am a corporate account guest at this Hotel. My team and crew stay here for extended stays. It was recently brought up in conversation that each person has been charged a different “incidental” fee at check in. Most of my coworkers stated they were charged $25. I was charged $75. I was also informed by my supervisor that per our corporate contract, we are not be charged out of pocket for such fees. I checked out of my room on 1/21/25, I was informed the $75 charge would be released upon check out. Today is 1/30/25 and I have not received the reversal and my bank has no record of it. I contacted the hotel this morning to inquire about why it has not been received. The front desk agent I spoke with met me with hostility, rudeness, was loud on the phone and hung up on me numerous times when I asked for her name. She refused to take my information for management to contact me and told me no manager would be in today. When I asked about why I was charged more than other guests in my team, she stated they can charge what they feel like charging at checkin. Some are $10, $25 or what they see fit. These were her words, not mine. I realized then she was the agent that checked me in, she is an African American woman. I then asked her again, why was I (the only AA male in my crew) charged more than anyone else at check in. And she restated they charge what they feel like charging. I took this as racial profiling and unfair business practices by making assumptions based on appearance. I called back only to be hung up on and told when I asked for the persons name I was speaking with was told “ I told you that already!” I decided to write this review and post on all media outlets to make the public aware to book with caution and not to expect courtesy or professionalism when dealing with the front desk staff. they will gate keep from management, and if this is a management practice, they are avoiding accountability for their business practices."

Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Fort Wayne

"I booked a 2 night stay at Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Fort Wayne, through Trip.com August 29, 2025 for a conference. I called the hotel to see if I could get early check-in, and was told to "just come in at 2:30 PM" which was half an hour earlier than check-in time of 3:00 PM. I tried to give the my booking information, but she just asked for my name, and the time I would get there. The day before my 3 1/2 hour drive, I was getting directions from the website and saw a notice in red lettering that state THIS SITE IS PERMANENTLY CLOSED. I immediately called the hotel number on my confirmation page for further inquiry and clarification, the man at the front desk said they were not closed, just name change, but just come on in. I could see the place looked like a seedy dump motel when I pulled in, but once inside I was horrified! Man at the desk said he did not have a reservation for me, but that I could go look at the rooms they had, and rent one of them. I was there to attend a 2 day women's conference of 7 thousand attendees, plus staff, there were no rooms available, anywhere less than 45 minutes away. So, I attempted to look at a room, when I saw one room door open, someone was trying to clean it up, it was dirty, disgusting. Of course I said that I would rather sleep in my car, and left. There were at least 3 other people going through the same dilemma as I was. One customer was so angry, she was yelling and using foul language, another was storming out of the lobby, telling somebody coming in that this place was uninhabitable for humans. I did contact Trip.com to advise of the situation. This business is deceptive, making the public they are booking with Wyndham, but you are not. BE WARE!!"
