"Ended up staying 19 days at Joli Park Hotel Gallipoli. The staff was incredible and sweet and helped me out with everything🙏 First there were some mismatch with my booking and room (with no balcony which I had specified), so I got another room in 6th floor with a big balcony with sun all day! Additionally I got extended my stay with the same room in a busy period! The room was perfect for 1, one single comfy bed, 2 big pillows, closet, small fridge, desk, TV, and a bathroom. I did not find the shower as little as other people comment.. The room was cleaned every day! The breakfast included i.e. pasticciotto 😋 cornetti, cake, etc, gluten free alternatives, ham/cheese, jam, nutella, tomatoes, bread, water and juices (pineapple delicious), coffee machines, tea, yoghurt, milk, fruit, eggs. You could even take your breakfast up to your room and eat on your balcony🤗 I got my waterbottle filled during breakfast in the morning with fresh cold water😊 The only thing is that there can be lot of ants, but they help you with it if gets too many😊 Air conditioning was good (but make a lot of noise if full power), The location were great, close to everything, 5 min to closest sea-swimming-place (if stones are ok), supermarket just across the street, old town 20-25 min walk away. Close to bars, cafes, shopping, busstation and everything. Nice to run along the beachside and through the old town. There is also parking at the hotel (free), and I had a car for 2.5 days and got space every night. I will definitely come back one day 🤗🤩"

"The Palazzo Presta is perfectly located for all things Old Town Gallipoli. Minutes from the Spiaggia della Purita', less time to the centre with the bars, restaurants and shops and within easy walking distance of the public car parks, this is a little gem of a place. Quite unassuming from the outside - one could quite easily walk past it without realising - the enormity of the hotel despite remaining quite compact is only apparent once one enters the front door. Each room has its own character and is individually decorated with traditional furniture pieces alongside some avant-garde art on the walls. It seems to work even if the art was not at all to our taste. All staff members from reception, bar and restaurant and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. Reception staff were particularly helpful and informative with recommendations and suchlike. Cleaniness was excellent. Absolutely no criticism with the level or standard of hygiene at all. It was just as one would expect and hope for. Despite not being too far from the centre of the Old Town (which does get very busy in the evening), the noise levels were entirely within accetable range. Our room fronted onto one of the side alleys by the hotel and we heard nothing at all when we were in our room. Breakfast is served in the basement area of the hotel. The menu (accessible by QR code as so many menus in Puglia we found) didn't change and everything was waitress service. We were perhaps unusual in that we stayed for six nights (most stayed only a night or two) so by the sixth breakfast, the limited menu was somewhat exhausted. We did have some issues however, which mean that I cannot give this hotel five stars. The door to our room was stiff to open and needed more than a shove at times. Our room safe digital combination mechanism didn't work meaning that we had to be given a masterkey to open and close and that was fiddly. The safe was inside the armoire and that was troublesome in opening and closing with its key. The air conditioning unit in the room was in its own (bespoke, I think) alcove but that meant that the cool air did not get into the room, leaving it constantly at 26/27c: uncomfortable at night. We also had a problem with our restaurant booking at the hotel. We booked - or at least we thought we had - the day before for a 9pm reservation the following evening. Unfortunately, communication of the booking failed to make it from reception on the first floor to the restaurant on the second floor and when we arrived for our reservation, there were no free tables and we had to wait nearly an hour for one to come free. The staff handled the situation very well and were appropriately apologetic. The food was excellent, I must add. I suspect that most people who come to stay here will do so by car. Be warned that if not using the hotel's parking facility (30 euros a night from memory), parking near the Old Town is a nightmare. One cannot park in the Old Town itself but has"

"his was a very good hotel in an ideal location, being a short walk to Monopoli's Old Town. We originally booked the hotel because it offered on-site parking and were then concerned when the parking was fully booked. But we needn't have worried, there is plentiful safe free parking near the hotel. The staff were excellent, as was the breakfast offer. Our room was hi-tech and very well appointed. The rooftop pool area was great, serving one of the best Club Sandwiches I've ever had. Our stay included one hour access to the Spa which was excellent."

"I will start with the positives 1. Breakfast was amazing in the beautiful restaurant with a beautiful view. 2. Ale and Terry( breakfast staff) were really helpful, always smiling, kind, and attentive to details. 3. Lucio(receptionist) was really helpful and kind. NEGATIVES 1. Very, very rude, housekeeping staff. 2. Beds untidly made. 3. Very bad smell in the bathroom 4. Rusty sink and shower 5. Mouldy bathroom 6. Confusing buttons in the lifts( see photo attached, you use this for going to the 5th floor) 7. There is too much noise from outside as early as 4am 8. Dirty hotel starting from the entrance."

"We went for dinner, and boy, oh boy, were we disappointed!!!!!!!!! First of all, the service was super slow, menus took long to be brought, the same with drinks and food, something wasn't right!!!!! You could see the service team literally changing table clothes instead of taking orders from guests, there was one tall waiter who was the only one who understood how service is done......the rest looked more of trainees and kind of scared even ask guests if they had been served. My pork was tasteless( the first time i had bad food in Italy). Potatoes had a not so fresh taste and smell, and we couldn't eat them."
