"Unfriendly, arrogant proprietors and the worst, overpriced Cappuccino in Gstaad. This is an old worn establishment that should be put out to pasture along with its deeply unpleasant owners. Noisy position next to a parking lot and the train station. With all of the wonderful choices for beds in Gstaad, this is the last place I would lay my head."

"Adorable cabin like rooms. Restaurant is good. 10 min walk to the ‘city center’ and 15-20 min walk to the train station. Awesome amenities for kids like a little racetrack. I made use of the ping pong table. If you’re into skiing/snowy activities this is the spot to be, because the lift is literally across the hotel. Rooms can be a little loud at night. All in all a great experience for the price. I’d stay here again."

"A dream castle in the Swiss alps and an icon of old-world glamour. Gstaad Palace has a timeless elegance that’s hard to find today. I went for my birthday and the team had prepared some lovely personal gestures in our room. We were pleasantly surprised by how varied the dining options are. The new al fresco Italian restaurant, Gildo’s, is a wonderful new addition in Summer and worth visiting on its own. Service top notch. As much as the Palace is famous in winter, I actually love it even more in summer. Already looking forward to my next stay."

"The hotel is beautiful, with a unique design, a charming atmosphere, and excellent attention to detail. The staff were professional, friendly, and very helpful, especially when I requested a room change. Unfortunately, two major issues affected my stay. First, the rooms have no air conditioning, and fans are only available upon request in very limited numbers. The room was extremely hot, and I couldn’t sleep on my first night. Second, I paid extra for a mountain-view room, but the view was mostly blocked by the roof, which was not clear in the booking photos or description. I had to pay around CHF 100 per night to upgrade to a room with the view I originally expected. I believe this hotel is an excellent choice in winter, but during summer the lack of air conditioning and the misleading mountain-view room significantly impacted my experience. Overall, I would rate it 3 out of 5 stars."

"Absolutely beautiful. Every turn every corner is amazing. But the service staff lacks. I almost feel they become a bit ****** against me as a guest.. very odd experience something I would expect in a Mississippi Motel 6 .. unfortunate because so many people try hard to do a great job here.. to clarify I asked a few things of the hospitality staff to do. They totally ignore me. In the dining area I sat for long periods of time with absolute no one responding or checking on me to anything. I brought the attention to the main host. And he just looked right through me. Thank you for the cold coffee. Thank you for not offering me a menu for the hot breakfast. Little disappointing."

"The hotel is a family run property being managed by the Matti family. We specifically chose this one as we wanted to experience the famed Swiss hospitality which unfortunately is found missing in commercially run hotels & yes we were not wrong in our selection ! We reached the place a bit late around 9pm but the check in experience was warm & super smooth. It was taken care of personally by the owner, right from check in to the luggage delivery in our rooms. A warm & smooth check in experience always help. We had booked for suites which were large, clean & the bathroom equipped with a shower cubicle, which also acted as a steam & hamam (now this was something unique) & we enjoyed it every morning. The location is nice, a bit away from the road, to give you a nice & quite stay experience but just 12 min walk to the promenade & the railway station. The best part was the mesmerising view from our balcony. We used to spend hours sitting there & enjoying the swiss beauty. Overall a good staying experience "

"The hotel is located away from the town. It’s not really set up to walk. A fleet of cars will take you back and forth and is very efficient. The hotel is not really set up to ski either. It’s more to loll and spa. The spa is lovely, service varies but the reception ladies are lovely and go above and beyond. The rooms are dark and the light switches have a delay and seem to need to be updated. The style is dark. Hard to read in bed. The hotel is expensive, but I feel like it’s built for people who do not care. Really it is the best hotel in town as it is the newest. Concierge team is terrible. This really affected my rating of the property. They seem to have one man who knows everything and the rest of the team are awful. At this price point it needs to be flawless. A beautiful welcome set up in the suite, but was it an overall five star wow experience? For me no, but that’s not to say I will not go back!"
