"The view from the hotel was amazing and was definitely the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, several issues took away from the overall experience. There is no phone in the room, so every time we needed assistance we had to go up and down three flights of stairs to reception. When we went down to get the Wi-Fi code, the handwritten note was so unclear that we couldn’t connect and eventually gave up trying. The toilet seat was completely loose, which was very uncomfortable and not ideal at all. We also had no hot water for our shower. Breakfast was extremely limited, with virtually no options available. We travel around the world and have stayed in many different places, and in our opinion this hotel is very overpriced for what it offers. The staff did try to make it up to us the next day, but since we were only staying one night, it didn’t really help. For the price we paid, we were expecting a true 5-star experience."

"A lovely quiet location away from the noise of the town centre but close enough to walk easily. Our room had a small private deck and a bath. Breakfast was included and was cooked to order. The staff were attentive and helpful and very caring when I had a medical emergency, not hesitating to provide me with first aid (there was a lot of blood and they didn’t flinch at cleaning and dressing my wound). Bonus is the lovely ginger cat!"

"Hotel is a little away (by 700m. from the place), so relatively calm in the night. The hotel is a family room at the top, a terrace with beautiful views of the lake and the city. The kitchen is really practical."

"I arrived in Medellin from the UK, very early in the morning and was met by my pre-arranged driver from the hotel. My bag had unfortunately not arrived with me. Check-in time was 3pm but I was handed a coffee & shown to my cabin straight away to allow me to sleep. The cabin was charming, spacious and very clean with a very comfortable bed. I don’t speak Spanish and the staff don’t speak English but we communicated well with the help of Google translate and assistance was provided in charging all my failing devices! Breakfast was tasty and plentiful with good coffee and the views over-looking Guatapé were superb (in the evening with a glass of wine), and in the morning. The hotel is situated very close to the rock so I had a ten minute walk down the steep drive from the hotel and then up the steep road to the rock itself. I recommend taking the steps to the top as views are even more amazing if that’s possible."

"Our stay was for two nights, and we slept in 3 of their 5 rooms due to water leaks from the rain. At the end, the so called administrator offered us a complimentary night for when we returned. We will never return there and I advise you to stay away from this place."
