When we checked in; 1 agent checked us in while the other 2 just stared at us like we were aliens. One of them had a smirk on their face throughout my check-in, I wanted to ask what she thought was so funny with us checking into the hotel but I didn’t want to spoil the evening. They all started laughing when we left the checkin desk. Know that we are non-European. Very unwelcoming and unprofessional. I suggest cultural diversity training. The beds were disgusting! Small strips of hair all over the fitted sheet. The Most Disgusting was the pee stain on the sheets! The bed smelled like piss too. It was supposed to be non-smoking but someone had been smoking in the room or the insulation/vent systems need more work. I didn’t want to deal with the unprofessional front desk staff so I suffered through the uncleanliness and just put 2 towels on top of the duvet just to feel at ease sleeping, even though we were only there for one night…Thank God I didn’t book for longer. The only positive was breakfast; it was adequate for 1 night stay. Definitely won’t be spending another dime here.

At busy junction. Parking further up road opposite fuel station. Booked twin room, given double room, returned to reception and after some muttering and grunting from reception and some comment about a waltz? were issued a different key. This opened a suite with two separate bedrooms that could accommodate 6 persons in all, a private dining room and a huge bathroom with bath! It would have been discourteous to not avail myself of this provision. My room overlooked tranquil rear of establishment where there were only net curtains. I couldn't tell till the morning whether anyone could see in from the outside. It was the route for the fire escape. My companion's room faced busy junction but ample supply of ear-plugs provided in the room. Clean, spacious, friendly, breakfast standard German fare. Perfect half way overnight stop for those driving from Berlin to Calais for channel ferry.

Excellent

I cannot fault this hotel. Everything was superb. We arrived from the overnight ferry to Hook of Holland. This place was perfectly positioned a couple of hours from the port for an overnight stay before exploring Germany. The car park was spotless. The reception staff were professional and very welcoming. All the hotel was very clean and airy. A lovely atmosphere. The room was very well appointed and, again, spotless. There was a lot of attention to detail: providing flannels, shower basket to hold our toiletries, movement sensor lights under the bedside cabinets, in the hallway, and in the bathroom perfectly dim so just enough light to get to the bathroom at night without having to fumble for switches, to avoid waking up the other occupant. Bedside light switches on the front of the bedside cabinet so you don’t have to be a contortionist to operate them. The breakfast was exceptional. Huge variety of hams, cheeses, breads, yogurts, and freshly cooked eggs which were perfectly cooked and a beautiful orange/yellow colour showing good quality. To top it off there was a tea station with numerous choices of leaf tea to self serve into teapots. They even supply specialist sugar to go with it! Eg unrefined sugar crystals. We loved it so much, we decided to stay another night and explore the delightful town. Not much there but lovely boulevards to walk down. We will come back here on our next trip to Europe.

GGuest UserAlso die Dusche als ich die gesehen habe dachte ich mir, ok das wird mein stammhotel, nur leider 1 punktabzug für den überhaupt nicht passenden duschkopf, erstens zu schwach und zweitens zu nah an der Ecke, das war so richtig enttäuschend, nichts destotrotz würde ich da wieder buchen, hoffe nur das der Geschäftsmann mal sich überlegt diese Kleinigkeit zu verbessern für die Perfektion. Ausserdem ist der Boden die aller beste Wahl die man haben konnte, bei den anderen hat man immer ein Ekel bekommen, bei dem habe ich mich getraut barfuss zu laufen Danke

We`ve booked a room for 3 but it wasn`t ready, so we were put in 2 adjusted rooms, which was great. Had the best sleep in there. Very friendly staff, breakfast was absolutly beatiful as well. Definetely going back, if we are on the way and need a sleep in between journeys

Wir wurden an der Rezeption vom Personal sehr gastfreundlich begrüßt. Auch ansonsten ist das Personal sehr freundlich, man bekommt das Gefühl, willkommen zu sein. Der Raum am Empfang ist sehr sauber und modern ausgestattet. Den ersten schlechten Eindruck bekam ich im Fahrstuhl: etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber okay: mag ich mich nicht darüber beklagen. Los ging es als sich die Türen des Fahrstuhls öffneten und man die Flure der Stockwerke (Pural, nicht Singular! ) über die Ebenetage betritt: man wird empfangen von einem Teppichboden, der aus den 70er Jahren gleicht, dementsprechend sieht er auch befleckt aus, bis hinein ins Zimmer. Zimmer, erster Eindruck: in die Jahre heruntergekommen, erneuerungsbedürftig schmuztig! Da wir uns ein günstigeres Zimmer (als Komfort Zimmer betitelt) gebucht haben, möchte ich mich über die alte Möbel nicht beklagen, aber von Hygiene/Sauberkeit gab es keine Spur, egal in welchem Raum. Der Teppichboden war übersäht mit Flecken, die Fugen im Badezimmer verschimmelt, sowohl das Bettlaken als auch die Bettwäsche waren ebenfalls befleckt, dass einem der Ekel überkam. An der Kopfstütze des Bettes konnte man erkennen, wer sich schon alles über die Jahrzehnte den Kopf darauf abgerieben hat. Die obere Schicht hat sich schon mit Flächen abgeblättert. Mir war es wichtig, dass wir ein Doppelbett zur Verfügung gestellt bekommen, so wie wir es auch gebucht hatten. Auch an dieser Erwartung wurde ich enttäuscht, wir bekamen kein Doppelbett wie beschrieben, sondern es wurden zwei Einzelbetten aneinander geschoben. Nachdem ich mich an der Rezeption darüber geäußert habe, wurde mir gesagt, dass alle Zimmer so ausgestattet seien. Dann sollte man es auch nicht als Zitat: ”Alle unsere 103 Hotelzimmer / Appartements sind mindestens 25 qm groß, ausgestattet mit Doppelbett 1,80x2m...” -Zitat Ende- ...verkaufen! Die Kuhle zwischen den Matratzen waren auf jeden Fall groß genug, dass ich mit Rückenschmerzen am nächsten Morgen wieder aufgewacht bin. Vielen Dank! Da wir die Textilien auf dem Zimmer rundum eklig fanden, hatten wir in der Nacht in unseren eigenen Kissen und Decken geschlafen, die wir zum Glück im Auto liegen hatten. Natürlich hätte ich mich an der Rezeption darüber beschweren können, aber die Anreise war schon lange und anstrengend genug, da hatten wir keine Lust mehr, uns noch damit auseinanderzusetzen. Das Einzige, was mir am Zimmer positiv aufgefallen war ist, dass die Fenster Schalldicht waren, über die Ruhe konnte man sich nicht beklagen. Am Frühstück hatten wir am nächsten Tag keine großen Erwartungen mehr. Es war reichhaltig an Auswahl vorhanden. Das Frühstück an sich würde ich nicht empfehlen, aber es war ”okay”! Da wir tagsüber den ganzen Tag bis spät Abends unterwegs waren und nur eine Bleibe zur Übernachtung gebucht hatten, machten wir uns auch nicht mehr die Mühe uns ein anderes Hotel zu suchen, aber die Überlegung hatten wir. Ich hatte uns noch sepparat einen Obstkorb auf dem Zimmer gebucht, d
