"This hotel is right on the water in the town upscale coastal city Cascais. The hotel is an old mansion converted into a five star hotel. The views were stunning. The dining room views were gorgeous. The lounge area was very nice as well. The decor is modern art with use of different mediums including plastic. It is well incorporated into the ambiance. One thing I found interesting is that the toiletries had very expensive price tags. When we stayed in Cascais we were hoping to swim in the pool and the Ocean . The weather was unusually windy which brought a chill. The bar area would get loud at night and the wind would howl through our room so it wasn’t as peaceful as we had hoped. The breakfast was opulent and delicious. The concierge Barbara was lovely."

"I can’t even begin to describe how disappointed and disgusted I was by this “hotel.” It was hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had. 1. The staff is constantly high: The staff is completely unprofessional. Almost every time I interacted with someone, they were clearly high or just didn’t care. Any kind of service was a nightmare, and they acted as if working there was the last thing they wanted to do. There was zero friendliness or helpfulness. 2. Dirt, dirt, and more dirt: The entire hotel is in a filthy state. Garbage was everywhere and clearly hadn’t been cleaned up for days. Common areas were disgusting, and the rooms – if you can even call them that – were absolutely vile. I didn’t feel comfortable stepping on the floor without shoes. 3. Cockroaches in the rooms: As if things couldn’t get worse, I was horrified to discover an army of cockroaches in my room on the first night. They were everywhere – crawling on the walls, the bed, and even in my belongings! It was a nightmare. When I reported it to the staff, they just shrugged and didn’t care at all. 4. The rooms are cold, dark, and depressing: The rooms feel more like prison cells than a place to relax. They’re dark, cold, and have no comfort at all. The windows are tiny and barely let in any light, and the heating didn’t work either. I felt like I was sleeping in a bunker. 5. Horrible working conditions for the staff: The worst part was speaking to some of the employees. They told me about the miserable treatment they receive here. Some haven’t been paid for months and are forced to work under inhumane conditions. It was heartbreaking to hear how poorly these people are treated by management. Bottom line: Do not support this company! I wouldn’t recommend staying here for even a minute. Not only are the hygienic conditions horrifying, but the staff is also being exploited. Do not support a business like this! Find another place to stay – your health and conscience will thank you."
