"I'm so glad I chose this guesthouse located in the Yao village. Although I haven't checked out all the other guesthouses, I was extremely satisfied with both the room and the location.
A word of caution: you need to buy an entrance ticket to stay at a guesthouse in the Yao village. And if it's your first time visiting, be aware that you can't just find the guesthouse by name or address once you arrive. You absolutely must contact the owner in advance to arrange a pick-up, otherwise it will be very difficult to find the exact location.
When we arrived, the temperature had dropped, and it was chilly. We couldn't contact the owner for a while, which made us really anxious. Luckily, it was a false alarm; the owner was busy and hadn't heard the phone.
The guesthouse is located a bit high up, requiring a walk along a stone path, but once inside, it felt warm and cozy. The next morning, the sunrise was right outside the window. Looking at the stone houses, the morning light, and the distant scenery, I felt the hardship of the walk was totally worth it.
Also, I must praise the owner's wife; she's incredibly kind 🫶. Seeing that I looked like I was about to catch a cold, she thoughtfully gave me some ginger slices to warm me up—it was so heartwarming. 🥰"

"Facilities: Clean and hygienic, well-equipped, and fully functional.
Hygiene: The toilet was spotless and fragrant, with an automatic flushing system. There was a huge TV and a smart voice assistant (Xiao Du). Truly top-notch, offering excellent value for money.
Environment: The lobby was spacious, bright, comfortable, elegant, and grand.
Service: The front desk lady had a beautiful and sweet smile. She even gave me a box of Yao Village specialty vegetables (cai xin), and the breakfast was also good."

"The fourth brother's service is very good, warm and thoughtful. Because he worked in Guangzhou in the early years, he can communicate with us in Cantonese easily. The room is clean and equipped with disposable towels and toiletries. My husband likes to drink tea on the large balcony and watch the sunrise and sunset. Looking at the scenery from the balcony, I feel like I can see the mountains. The lemon tea at Fourth Brother's house is also very delicious, and the dishes cooked by the landlady are also very delicious. I feel good about this trip. "The purpose was to see the sunrise, but it was completely blocked by clouds. The guesthouse was nice; the owner seemed like a down-to-earth person, and the view from the balcony was quite pleasant. However, the Thousand-Year Yao Village scenic area wasn't very interesting. The buildings were dirty and lacked charm, and the entrance fee was expensive without including other expenses. Performances, horseback riding, and bonfire parties all required separate tickets, and the climb was extremely tiring. Everything seems to be in need of development."

"We went on a self-driving trip. The hotel has a great location, right next to a four-lane main road. The hotel is very nice, with amenities including free parking, a washer and dryer on the 7th floor, and excellent room conditions—clean and tidy, with a separate shower and toilet. The front desk service was particularly attentive; they even recommended local ethnic minority snacks and other good food. It's truly one of the best hotels I've stayed in, and the breakfast selection was plentiful. If I have the opportunity to visit this area again, I will definitely choose this hotel again."

Fully equipped: free WIFI is smooth, the bedding is comfortable, Yunnan tea and tea sets are provided, and tea can be made. Air conditioning, water temperature and water pressure are normal. There is disposable cushion paper. There is no TV in the room.
Hygienic: The boss personally cleans, changes the bedding, clean and tidy. Sleep soundly all night, sleep quietly.
Service: The boss is enthusiastic, helps with luggage, borrowed an umbrella on rainy days, and sends greetings when leaving. Early check-in and free late check-out are also very user-friendly.

The owners, a pair of sisters, were very helpful and carried our luggage upstairs. There were a few small ants on the floor, but it wasn't a big deal; that's typical of the village environment. The balcony outside the door offers a view of the sunrise, but this room faces the house in front, so there's an obstruction. You can't see it directly from the room; you need to go to the other side of the balcony. Overall, it was a great experience! 👍

GGuest UserThis level of quality is incredibly rare in the B&B space. The entire village is lined with ancient stone steps, and supplies are either carried on shoulders or on horseback. I brought my parents and children with me, and the host was very welcoming. He helped carry our luggage up and down the mountain, told us stories about the village, and even gave us delicious local liver-protecting and scented teas! The room was near the front, offering stunning views. In the evenings and mornings, the mountains rise to the horizon, often shrouded in mist, a truly breathtaking sight. My mom caught a cold from the air conditioning, so the hostess gave her a scraping massage, which she said was very comfortable.

GGuest UserThe B&B is located on a mountain in the scenic area with an excellent view. When you wake up in the morning, you can see the beautiful scenery of the hotel.
Also because the location is at a high point, it takes 15 minutes to walk up the mountain from the parking lot. Fortunately, the owner of the B&B picked us up from the parking lot and walked up the mountain, so please be careful if you are traveling with the elderly.

GGuest UserThe overall experience was quite good. The B&B owner was very welcoming and even helped with our luggage. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There was a tatami mat for sitting and drinking tea. The view was beautiful, and you could watch the sunrise from the balcony. The owner also has a restaurant in the observation deck where you can eat and drink lemon tea. The view from the observation deck is very expansive, with a panoramic view of the mountains. I recommend the bamboo chicken; the broth is sweet and the chicken is tender. The freshly brewed lemon tea is refreshing and thirst-quenching. With everything you need for food, accommodation, and drinks, it's very convenient! Absolutely amazing! I'll definitely stay here again if I have the chance!

GGuest UserRoom was nice and beds were comfortable. The tea making facilities in the room (the big table) are broken and it leaked all over the floor so I guess it’s just for show. Room isn’t as nice as it looks in the pictures and there was lots of construction outside the room. The neighbours were noisy too but the owner did contact them when I asked her to at 2am. Pretty view from the window though!
