"This is probably one of the best hotels in the area, and it's very conveniently located. The facilities are excellent, and the breakfast offers a wide variety, including hot and cold beverages and coffee. There are plenty of staff, and the bespectacled gentleman at the front desk was particularly helpful. He told us about some great local restaurants, and on the day we checked in, it was very foggy and humid. He kindly advised us to wear masks when going out to avoid inhaling too much moisture, which was very thoughtful. My only minor suggestion for the hotel is regarding the gym equipment on the second floor near the entrance. It gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Perhaps it could be moved to a different spot, as it was quite chilly checking in with the main doors wide open on such a day."

"Our primary goal was to visit Luoping's Jinji Fengcong (Golden Rooster Hills) and its vast rapeseed fields, so we meticulously chose and booked the highly-rated Xinyuan Dream Guesthouse on Ctrip, conveniently located within the scenic area. It was spotlessly clean, tidy, and comfortable, and our spacious view room offered direct views of Jinji Fengcong. After staying here, we realized that staying within the scenic area is absolutely the best choice, saving both time, effort, and money.
The guesthouse is run by a young, university-educated couple. The proprietress is a sweet, friendly, and charming young lady; her radiant smile is as captivating as the blooming rapeseed flowers themselves. They offer freshly prepared dishes and rice for all three meals, which are excellent value for money and taste wonderfully fresh and light. The owner even personally drove us to the scenic area entrance in his electric cart, which was incredibly thoughtful.
Right outside the guesthouse, there's a field of rapeseed flowers (Pic 2) where every casual snap turns into a stunning photo. Public transport is also conveniently accessible right outside the entrance. I've already recommended it to all my friends on social media who are planning a trip here!"

"I didn't visit at the right time, but I can imagine the charm of the rapeseed flowers blooming across Jinji Peak and Luositian.
I flew a drone; the view was amazing! The owner was very helpful. Although there aren't many restaurants nearby, the beef I ate at was incredibly delicious. If I come back, I'll definitely stay here again."

"This is the most satisfying and recommended hotel during this trip to Yunnan. 1️⃣The location is very advantageous. After booking the hotel, when you arrive at the scenic spot, the staff will drive a sightseeing car to pick you up for free. You can also enjoy the flowers and take photos on the way. The hotel is just at the foot of the hill where you can watch the sunrise. It takes about five minutes to walk to Mu Mu in the morning. On the plank road, after checking out, the staff will take us out of the scenic area without turning back. We can just see the entire Jinji Peak Cong scenic area in a circle. Every room can see the sea of flowers, and we are truly lying in the sea of flowers; 2️⃣ The staff at the hotel are very enthusiastic. Everyone is very nice and comfortable. Both the language and attitude are very good. The two beauties also made an appointment for us to take photos and helped us carry our bags. Anyway, the service is excellent; 3️⃣ It is especially recommended to dine at his home. The chef is top-notch and the food is picked from the fields by the staff on site. "The hotel booked temporarily is really a treasure! The warm lighting in the lobby is super atmospheric as soon as it comes in. The front desk lady is gentle and quick, and the check-in process is less than five minutes. GGuest UserI can't believe it's 2025, and there are still such wonderful hostels in China: bookstores, music, drinks, courtyards, and incredibly cool owners... a cultural utopia in Luoping County, Qujing City, Yunnan Province. It's a haven of cleanliness, a great location, excellent amenities, and a remarkably quiet environment. I hope Luoping 97 Bookstore Hostel stays open for a hundred years! Right now, I'm at Guiyang Longdongbao Airport T3 Terminal, about to board a Xiamen Airlines flight back to Nanjing. Yunnan, Guizhou, and Sichuan are a hub of delicious food and a gathering place for all kinds of culinary experts. This isn't my first time here, and it won't be my last. By the way, the hostel owner told me about the Time YHA Hostel in Yongyuan Alley next to the Presidential Palace in Nanjing. That's where my stays at China International Youth Hostels began, the place where a beautiful dream started... I miss the pre-pandemic hostel era, cherish everything I have now, and look forward to the future. Attached is a picture: the sunset I saw from the owner's rooftop that night. The sunset was beautiful; goodbye sunset.

GGuest UserIt is said that Luoping Xicheng Holiday Inn is one of the best hotels in the area, so I chose to stay here during the rapeseed flower viewing season. The decoration style of the hotel is very Chinese and freehand, and there are quite a few guests staying here.
The most worth mentioning is that the service here is particularly good. From the front desk to the restaurant to the guest rooms, every staff member is very kind and tries their best to provide the best service to the guests staying. The day I checked in coincided with my birthday, and the hotel front desk manager thoughtfully gave me local specialty honey as a birthday gift. grateful! Will definitely come again if I have the chance!

772938600The inn is in a good location, right next to the Jinji Peak Cong Scenic Area, and parking is in the yard. The landlord couple is warm and simple, and prepared dinner for us in advance. Although it is home-cooked food, it tastes good. The inn is clean and hygienic, the rooftop platform offers views and starry sky, and the laundry room is convenient for washing clothes.

LLeleoThis stay was a very pleasant experience. The service was attentive and thoughtful, the rooms were spacious and bright, the facilities were complete, and the price was very reasonable. There was a yard in the back where you could park, which could probably fit five or six cars. GGuest UserBeautiful place, very quite, clean, soundproof is great though you might as well open the windows and enjoy the sounds of nature. We also tried BBQ for dinner, liked it as well. It was our overnight stop on the way from Lijiang back home. We wanted to stay more :) The stuff and the owner of the hotel were really friendly. The hotel is built on the former runway of the old airport. Very spacious. Nice area to walk around. I liked how the hotel was designed. I also saw a wheelchair at the lobby to accommodate people in need. Very thoughtful. Definitely recommend this place and consider it for future road trips to Yunnan and back.

MmChai (Singapore)Old hotel but acceptable. Bedroom has whats needed for the 2-night stay. The long hair receptionist was bewildered when we handed over our passports for registration.
She was very kind to give us a new kettle when we asked for it and changed the shower head which was not quite serviceable.

The service provided by the front desk girl is very good, considerate and attentive. The environment is worth it, especially the beautiful cherry blossom mountain road to the left when you go out the back door of the hotel. You can walk to the Stone Forest of Weigu Village and drive a short distance to the beautiful Xiaolongtan Village. Turning right from the back door you can reach the Pinde Village Observation Deck, which is so beautiful! Living here is an unexpected surprise!
